I was looking for a place to have my bridesmaid and Mother's hair done for my wedding. We came to Sandra's salon to inquire about pricing and set up a date and time. She gave us a quote which we were ok with, the day of the wedding she increased the price 3 different times for my bridesmaid. She also must've believed she didn't speak Spanish because she kept complaining about how much more she should be charging. I had told my bridesmaids it's fine just pay it cuz I needed her hair done for the wedding day. I would've been fine with it but shortly after my BM got to our apartment which is a block away from Sandra's, her hair was puffy and the curls were flat. Horrible service on the wedding day. Had I known her service and professionalism was that bad I would've not booked her. I had to get someone else fix her hair and that time around the hair lasted all night and looked much better. read more

I've been getting my haircut here for over 20 years so this review is very overdo. Sandra and Tomy and the rest of the team are the best. I rarely have to wait very long, but even if I do I know it's worth it because I always leave looking fresh, clean and sharp. They take their time and listen to what you want- not what they think you want (which I know can be a problem). Also very reasonable prices... it's not lemon tree so you don't expect lemon tree prices. You get what you pay for- quality service in a comfortable atmosphere. My good friend and neighbor had told me about Sandra's for a while but until today, hadn't had the chance to check it out. I visited their new location because the old place left something to be desired. There is parking behind the stores, albeit a little tight but doable. Sandra gave me a great blowout even though it wasn't what I was normally used to, i was very satisfied. It seems that the locale also has a barber in the back so expect to see a bunch of guys waiting for a cut/trim. I heard that tje barber is rather good and he takes his time. read more

I first went to Sandra's as a "walk-in" on a Tuesday, on the strength of the Yelp reviews. The place was empty, Sandra was friendly and she gave me a good blow out so I vowed to return. I called on a Thursday to make an appointment for Saturday. Whoever I spoke to listened to my request and started to say goodbye BEFORE I had given my name. I asked, "Don't you need to take my name???" They did take it then but this behavior made me a little concerned. I came in on Saturday and the place was busy. Sandra asked if I had an appointment and I said that I did. She checked the list and my name was NOT written down. She promised to fit me in but there was a long wait. To add insult to injury, the woman who did hair washing decided to give herself a manicure before checking to see if anyone was waiting for a wash. (Me!) My wait became even longer, as I had to wait for her nails to dry! The only reason that I didn't just walk out was because I needed my hair done for a party that night. I will not return. I used to love this place. And gave it a good review before. But the more I went here the less I liked it. I'd ask the price when setting up the appointment then when it came time to my appointment is be told a price that's $10 more. I had an appointment and was on time. While waiting someone who appeared to be friends with the owner had walked in and I was told "oh I'm just going to take care of them quickly" so I had to wait. This happened several times and once she knew I had to be out of there by a certain time, she took a friend a head of me and it made me late. I made an appointment as a first time customer and was not disappointed! Everyone was extremely friendly and my cut came out great. All I needed was the sides buzzed/faded up as well as a trim off the top to even it out. Done quickly and expertly. Costs slightly more than Lemon Tree but well worth it.
