The food is good at a fair price. They are always busy for breakfast so there is a little wait, but its worth it.

Great little, hometown place. Home cooking for the most part. Although the gravy I believe from a mix, aren't they all?

I waited for a very long time for my mango tea which was strange that a drink took that long. It was fruity and refreshing just took awhile to get to me. Our food was all very good. That arrived much quicker than the drink. Spinach dip was excellent. Fried green tomatoes weren't as hot as they could have been but still good. I just got Mac and cheese and a Caesar salad. Mac and cheese was mediocre. Caesar salad was excellent. Loved the baked Parmesan crunchies in it. The other dishes our party got were pretty good. Nothing was super hot which was a little disappointing. Dessert was a crostini with homemade Carmel ice cream and that was amazingly good!

I stopped by today to kill time and have some breakfast while waiting on some local businesses to open. I decided to keep it simple and get the ham and cheese omelet. They exceeded my expectations. The toast was fresh and well buttered, the hash browns cooked to just a little bit of a crunch, and the omelette was packed full of flavor and ham. There's not many places you can get a full meal for less than $10. I may have to make this a more frequent stop.

On our first visit, it took a while to be greeted and it took forever to receive our food. I think we were there for two hours altogether on our first trip and we did not think that we would be returning. Fast-forward a few months and we came here because it was one of the few places open that had down home cooking, which we were wanting. I'm so glad we came again because it was such a great experience and we've gone again a handful of times since. I've had a few things here, but my favorites are their burgers, hand cut fries, the fried zucchini, and the lemon meringue pie. All of them are delicious. They also make a mean club sandwich, although sometimes they forget to cut it in quarters and just cut it in half. Not a big deal, but I personally prefer mine in quarters. The staff are friendly for the most part. There is one lady who I assume is the manager, who is almost always being rude to someone, whether it be her own staff or the customers. She always has something grouchy and negative to say, or she's belittling her staff in front of everyone. I personally would hate to work for someone like that. Hopefully she will have some joy in her life so she can turn things around. We can always tell when we get her on the phone for our call-in orders because she is the only one who is grumpy about having to type in the fact that we want to make a substitution for a burger topping. It's kind of sad that she stands out in this way, but that does not make it any less true. Anyway, the tables could use a bit of cleaning, especially the ones nearest the wall where there is dirt and dust. Aside from that, I really have no complaints about Rosie Jo's. It is one of our favorite places to eat in Ozark and we will definitely be back.

I have visited this place several times now and always been impressed... until tonight…read more It was a Saturday night. It was 8pm, 2 hours before closing and an hour before the kitchen closed. We were promptly greeted and seated as always. We were then immediately greeted by the server, Austin, who made it very clear his mission was to get us in and out promptly. He immediately asks if we knew what we wanted to drink. Mind you we literally just sat down. I told him we would look at the menu but we'd like some bread and oil to start with. He came back for our drink order after just a minute or two and then immediately asked for our food order. Mind you we haven't even hit the 5-6 min mark yet. It was quite clear we were being rushed. So we hurried and gave him our food order. But because I was already perturbed, no drinks were ordered. Now mind you I almost always get a bottle or two of wine. (one of the main reasons we go there is the wine selection) Our server Austin returned after about five minutes with our food. Getting our food so quickly was a surprise. However, still no bread and oil so I reminded him. Which he admitted he forgot. The food was lukewarm at best and had no flavor. We waited for a few minutes for Austin to return so we could ask for salt and Pepper only for him "this time" to suddenly disappear. So I got up and asked the bartenders for salt and pepper. The food was bland and the serving size was half of what we usually get there. When Austin finally returned with the bread and oil, the bread was cold. No attempt at heating it or toasting it. It was literally a roll of French bread, cut into slices, and then some oil thrown in. We were hungry so we ate our dinners. Austin returned as soon as he saw we were done eating to take our plates and asked if we would like any desserts. I made a comment. I don't want any desserts if they taste like our dinner. He then grabbed our plates and walked away, staring at me the entire time. He then immediately brought our tab, which was $79 for two plates of half full pasta dishes, one iced tea and a cold French bread. I have been there several times before to where the service was outstanding, the food delicious, and the atmosphere great. But this was quite disheartening especially at being a Saturday night. I almost always order a bottle or two of wine plus an after dinner cocktail. Because of the way I was made to feel and how bad the food was. I decided not to stay and left almost immediately after my dinner. Especially since it was made so clear we weren't necessarily welcomed to stay. One thing I've always found kind of catchy about the place. Is they serve your water in old retired liquor glasses. Both glasses of water they brought still had the sticky residue left on them. Which was more of an agitation after the night we had. Again, overall, the previous experiences will allow me to go back again. But this experience needed to be heard.

My sister and I dined outside which reminded me of a cafe on the street in Paris. We both ordered the salmon salad. It did take some time for our order to arrive but it was well worth it. Everyone we came into contact with was very helpful and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Many customers may remember her as a hardworking server with a bright personality who built strong relationships with regular guests through her kindness and professionalism. While supporting her during her employment here, I also experienced concerns as a customer. On multiple occasions, food was served cold or with issues such as hair being found in meals. Customer service was inconsistent among staff, and something as simple as asking guests their coffee creamer preference was often overlooked something my daughter always made a point to do because she genuinely cared about customer experience. What concerns me most, however, is the way management handled her termination. After dedicating an entire year to this business, frequently covering shifts on her days off and helping whenever staff shortages occurred, she deserved far more respect than being fired through a text message. That is not professional leadership, especially toward a young employee who consistently showed loyalty and commitment to the restaurant. My daughter also struggles with severe allergies and recently became ill to the point of losing her voice and running a fever. Instead of being treated with understanding, she was asked to provide video proof of her condition and drive to work simply to "prove" she was sick. She still attempted to come in despite having no voice because she did not want to let the team down or risk inconveniencing anyone. No employee should feel pressured to work while sick, especially when trying to protect coworkers and customers from becoming ill themselves. It is disappointing to hear management claim she was "unreliable" after a full year of dedication, covering shifts, and staying with the company even after initially considering leaving. Meanwhile, inappropriate behavior from others including management issues such as them showing up intoxicated and sleeping on the job should have been taken seriously appeared to receive far less accountability. As a parent, it is frustrating to watch an 18-year-old employee be treated more like a child than a valued team member, while concerns about workplace treatment were repeatedly dismissed. Respect and professionalism should apply to every employee regardless of age. I hope management takes this as an opportunity to reflect on how employees are treated and how professionalism, communication, and fairness within a workplace truly matter.
