I have been going to Farmhouse Cafe restaurant for a long time and I've been a fairly loyal customer, but I have the worst experience today and I will never return. I asked for onion in my grilled cheese and instead they gave me raw onion on the side. I sent it back and now said it be redone and all they did was put the raw onion inside my sandwich. When I sent it back the second time it took a long time to come back out it comes out. The onion in the sandwich was still raw, and the bread was wet as if it had been touched with wet hands. I asked to speak with the manager a employee went to get me a manager and yet somebody from the kitchen came out told me he's the owner acted very unprofessional. Try to get me to pay for food which I did not consume because it was not prepared properly and then try to keep me from leaving the restaurant. He informed me he was going to call one enforcement because I refuse to pay for food and I told him that's fine but I wasn't gonna sit inside and then he finally let me out of the restaurant. I stopped here for breakfast because it was close to the freeway on my way to Kansas City Mo. it's in a strip mall. The decor is generic cafeteria style and nothing fancy inside, kinda divy. My server seemed green and left me hanging a lot. I ordered the meat lover skillet with biscuits and gravy that came quick. The skillet had hash browns, ham, sausage, bacon topped with cheese and two sunny side up eggs. The skillet was tasty and meaty, no skimping on the meat. The biscuits and gravy were average with no sausage in it but plentiful and creamy on fresh biscuits. Overall the was good so why one star you ask. I asked my server if she could throw some ice in one of those bags under the register, charge me and save me a trip to the gas station so I can get back on the highway. She said let me ask the manager and I watched the manager instantly said no with out even considering my request, how's that for service because the place empty and no need for lots of ice at the time. I can't believe she instantly said with out any thought of helping me out. I made it a point to tell the manager in front of my server that her crappy customer service costed my server her tip, thanks for being so helpful today. read more

I used to work here and the things that I've seen behind the scenes would be enough for the health department to shut farmhouse cafe down. Cooks/employees vaping in the kitchen and dry storage area. No breaks. Gossip and making fun of customers. Mary is the head server and is one of the rudest people there. Harper snorts in the bathroom area. Mold in the kitchen no hair nets. Food stored in properly Dishes not cleaned well. They will pick off dried food off your silverware and bag them to be used again. Last I heard the boss Kru and head server Mary is pregnant from her boss. Don't piss your server or cook off because your food will be tampered with. Albanians have a temper. read more

Stopped in for a quick breakfast during a golf trip. Everyone did eggs + protein with toast and everyone got eggs that were cooked perfectly to order. The guy that had sausage didn't care for it because it was maple flavored. Our server was really good. Kept the coffee cups full, checked on us occasionally and was friendly. Ambiance was fairly vanilla as a good breakfast spot should be in my opinion. Good for breakfast. read more

The meatloaf sandwich I got was HUGE. It could have easily fed 2 people. I ate half and my appetite is healthy. The server was nice. It had a wide variety menu which was good as we had a picky child with us. The dining room was very farmhouse which fit. read more

The place isn't fancy and doesn't garner attention from the outside, but the food is excellent. They have the crispiest fried chicken I have ever tasted. The green beans were seasoned to perfection. My wife likes breakfast and everything really done. She wants eggs cooked dry, bacon extra crispy, and the same with hash browns and the cook hit the mark PERFECTLY on each. Specializing in All-You-Can-Eat, choose chicken, fish, etc. Had the Gyro Dinner that was deliciously huge with mountain of fries and plate heaped high of Greek salad and homemade Greek dressing. Wowzer! Wife had Philly w/Onion Rings: also a huge sandwich enuff for 2, maybe 3, or one giant appetite. Loved the flavor, moist meat, ton of onions/mushrooms/bell pepper + tomatoes. I am the only Stephanie that I know that has worked here and none of which was said is true. Kru and Donny were good bosses and keep their restaurant clean and I don't know about Harper I've never worked with her but I did work with Mary for a long time and she most definitely was never rude to anyone ever. Even if she was upset I've never seen her lose her composure or ever make fun of any customer. This was absolutely my favorite place to work and I highly recommend eating here. read more

The staff was great, and the restaraunt was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was solid, and the prices were average. Gravy was not homemade but no one makes homemade gravy so I don't knock them for that, and the biscuit was tasty. The food itself was well cooked, but eggs and hashbrowns weren't seasoned at all. They were generous with the cheese in my omelets so that made up for the lack of seasoning some. I would definitely visit again if in the area. read more

We had breakfast here recently and had a fantastic meal. I ordered the combination #1 platter. With the platter you get a choice of biscuit and gravy or silver dollar pancakes. All that food for not a lot of money! It was very good and we hope to come back for more breakfast items. I am definitely interested in the cinnamon bread French toast. read more

We wanted so badly to love this place. We decided to stop somewhere different for lunch today. I will say the restaurant was clean and the waitress was pleasant. However, the food was less than subpar. I ordered a Hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. Unfortunately it was a plate of rubber that wouldn't even cut with a knife and a fork. The gravy flavor was what I would expected it to have been for a diner. My friend ordered the Popeye skillet which was on special for 13.49. The chicken had no flavor and the hash browns were mush. There was a flavor that we couldn't identify and there wasn't any feta cheese as in the description. This has the potential of being a decent diner but unfortunately the food doesn't make it. We ate about an eighth of our food and thanked the waitress for her service and paid our bill. I would just want to save somebody a $35 bill for food that they can't eat if I can. read more

I used to enjoy going to the farmhouse for breakfast, but I will not be going there anymore. I ordered the Greek omelette and opened one of the sauces there was MOLD growing in the sauce in three places. I told the waitress about the mold and no sorry about what happened. Just I better look at the other sauces. No discount on the final bill, nothing. If you like mold in your food I would recommend this restaurant. Nothing like food poisoning for breakfast . read more
