He has gone out of way to assist us on numerous occasions, which is much appreciated. Disregard the other review, sounds like a misinterpretation to me. I would recommend Brent to anyone needing a friendly, professional insurance agent.

I'm a small business owner myself and my service is customized on customers hiring me for my services to survive. I always hesitate leaving a negative review, but felt this was justified. I called State Farms 1-800 # State Farm to make a complaint against Mr. Petersen but they wanted my home address - I wasn't about to give this as Brent Petersen would have access to this information and who knows what he would do if he got this information after me making a complaint. When I initially called for a quote to the 1-800 # (I was getting quotes for car/home insurance) I was call forwarded to his office as it's in same zip code. When Brent Petersen answered I mentioned right off that I won't provide my DL# until I was firming signing up - I said I had high 700's for my credit report and excellent driving history without any tickets, accidents dui's. I said I was just calling around for a quote and that I was calling around for quotes. He flew into a verbal rage. Calling me cagey and annoying and that he was tired of annoying people like me calling him. Asking me why I was calling him. Asking me how I got his number. Asking me why I called him and was bothering him....on and on etc etc. I have to say I was totally floored. I said I wasn't cagey and I didn't want to provide some information like my drivers license or social security # just yet. That I realized it wouldn't be an exact quote until I had given this information, but that hardly calls for him going on a rant and verbally going off on me, calling me names and calling me cagey. I finally hung up on him. Who knows, maybe he was having a bad day, but even on my worst day with a client I would never attack a potential client like this.

After years using The Big Notary Company, I decided to try something new because I notarize many deeds where there's not much space for a notary seal, so I look for the smallest possible notary seal. This company had one that seemed to better fit the bill. Everything went pretty much smoothly, until I received the rubber seal. This is one item that **must** be perfect. Otherwise documents are rejected by their recipients, time and money are wasted, and people are very unhappy -- usually with me. This seal could not make a consistent, 100% readable imprint. I called and was told to do this or do that with the seal to make it print correctly. Sorry. That's not how it works. This company is a vendor that the California government trusts to make products representing it. They need to be perfect before they get to the end user. After that flippant, couldn't-care-less response from my first point of contact, I called back and asked to talk to her supervisor. Got another song and dance. Because official documents need to be transferred in order to get this rubber stamp and it's generally a process that involves a fair amount of time (during which I can't do my job) and effort, I was offered a different seal at a tiny discount. This one is barely acceptable as well. Every time I apply this seal, I'm reminded of this company, their sub-standard product, and how un-professionally they handled the matter.

I ordered a Notary stamp from Valley-Sierra. It came with their branding all over the stamp. I am…read morenot interested in marketing their business when notarizing documents. I am returning it for a refund.
