As an introvert who does try to socialize when I go out, the vibe here just hits different. It doesn't have that intimidating, high-energy chaos you get at the big nightclubs. The staff and patrons are always upbeat and welcoming, which makes it easy to actually relax and enjoy yourself. Maybe it's just me, but I never feel self-conscious here the way I do at a lot of other LGBT spots in the city where I have to squeeze myself through a maze of people. Looking from the outside, you'll be surprised that their venue has a bit of everything for everyone, so it's not just a neighborhood "dive bar." They have a small dance floor, a cute outdoor patio, and fun events going on all week. I probably avoided a busy night since I came on a Thursday evening, but even then, they really make the space work. Plus, the prices definitely beat Manhattan.
