The service was great. Melissa was a real good and attentive waitress. I tried the jumbo wings, they are smoked and seasoned with 15 choice of sauce or dry rub. They were really tasty but not served hot. I also had a side salad. It was served in to go container. It would've been nicer if it would've been in a bowl instead of a clamshell container since I was dining in. The cheesy breadsticks were really good. Two sauces for a nice touch. They have Pepsi products. The dining room has a great field to a lot of nostalgic old store, signs and old grocery store signs and gas station signs. This is your stereotypical local food place that gets by on its former reputation. I literally just stood at the counter while 3 young kids were too concerned with packing things up to even acknowledge a customer. I know for sure two of them 100% knew I was there but didn't care. I finally had to ask can I get some help and If anyone was actually working tonight. I'm sure I was called some names but that was ridiculous. One went to get someone finally did she apologize no of course not. If it weren't for Toyota orders I can't imagine this place would ever make it. Now at one time probably around 10 years ago maybe not that long ago it was a great place. We never order from there just thought id give it a shot being so close but the service was just unreal. I'm sure they'll have a million excuses but that was blatant disregard. I recommend Bobes or Roscoes in Princeton. Follow-up, the owner claims they were training high school kids, last time I checked training involved instruction and mentorship. This wasn't a training issue this was a management issue it lack there of. Then recommended I buy a pizza place in princeton that closed and see how I do. If I were to own and run a business I wouldn't be making excuses for my incompetence and blaming high school kids for a customers bad experience in my establishment. So I'll start off by saying it's not the same as when the old owners had it, but it has gotten much better in the past years. I think the lack of a buffet is a bummer, and the food can be very inconsistent. That being said, when it's made right, it's very good. I also tried their new smoked wings, and they were awesome. My word of advice if the owners see this is to be more stringent of their product, making sure they have good quality control, and stop with the stupid bbq plate lunches. I get you're trying to do something new but just stick to pizza, or open up the buffet again. Pizza is usually pretty good. Smoked wings were really good. Service is awesome. Way to go Sandy's. Yes we have always got Sandy's pizza in Ft Branch and it's usually delicious last night my kids and grandkids all came to see me as I haven't been well for a good while so I ordered pizza to feed everyone I ordered an all meat add pineapple large pizza and I also ordered an large pizza original from there with the red peppers and everything .....giving we live near elberfield so my son went to pick pizza up so by time the grandkids got to eat they was starving and unfortunately we had the worst pizzas ever it tasted like crust and no sauce at all completely DRY and very limited toppings on it I told them to put the perperchinnis not in the box touching the pizzas because of the little grands eating it everyone knows it's not very cheap to eat there and I actually thought about ordering pizza from two other places but talked myself outta it because we haven't ate their yet so I went with Sandy's and I regret every minute of it I can honestly say I'm not sure if we will be going back there for a good long time I mean who eats pizza with no sauce dry dry dry never again I also called about it today which we got it later last night and I asked for a manager and this guy said he was a manager but all he could say was someone ordered pizza last night with NO Sauce so I'm sure they got orders mixed up and all he could say was he was sorry about that .......,yeah I was too considering I was feeding my kids n grand kids needless to say a lot of the kids plates pizza got tossed in the trash I was so disappointed sending them home from Mimi's hungry that's not me at all!!! Am from out of town and came for a wedding. Hardly ever leave yelp reviews but felt this place deserves it. We picked ir because it was close to where we had to be. I love local food establishments when traveling so decided to give it a try. The environment was great! Neat inside and our decorations of vintage advertising which was perfect. Pizza was outstanding. The waitress was friendly and on top of it as we were in a hurry. The root-beer was great and the beer probably the coldest I have ever had. Restrooms very clean. Told my wife that was a good experience and then on the way out ever single worker thanked us for coming and said to please come back. In this day and age I will give this five stars and if in Fort Branch or close again will be my food stop. Well done. read more

So much to say. First with many empty tables it took 15 minutes for anyone to come take our order. Then a 45 minute wait for the worst pizza I've ever had. It was unanimous. My sausage and onion pizza had no sausage, so I had a flavorless, spice-less, onion pizza. My son said it was the worst pizza he'd ever had and my grandson agreed. I've been hearing how good it is for a long time, but it's apparently gone downhill. The flavor was like those 99 cent frozen pizzas at Walmart. I remember years ago this was the best place to get pizza in Gibson county. It has really went down hill since being sold. Tonight was the end for me. Ordered 2 stroms and a medium pizza. I should have checked before I left there with them, cause it was all burnt. I'm not talking well done. The cheese around the outside of the pizza was black. Ordered ham & cheese sandwich and a sweet BBQ sandwich. It took QUITE a long time before food came out, only to learn they made the wrong thing and so only one sandwich came out. No apologies. Some communication would've been nice as we say there very hungry wondering what was up. We could've asked server if she was around at all, but she wasn't. This is hands down the best pizza around! The roasted red pepper pizza is the absolute best!!! My family and I went for dinner and we had an excellent experience here! Then food was all delicious, the server was attentive, and the atmosphere is fun! They were busy but we had a very short wait for a table. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza and added mushrooms to half. There were literally 6 mushrooms on my half, I counted. My daughter also wanted spaghetti and it was ok, I guess. Husband had the Stromboli sandwich and was very pleased! However; they asked if he wanted Lays chips or Grippos. He said Grippos and was given barbecue flavor, which he doesn't like. So, make sure you ask. I had a pizza, not knowing they put a lot of oregano on it. When I told them I didn't like the oregano, they made me a new pizza very quickly. I hate that I have to write this review but it deserves the attention. The food is good. The root beer is great. The staff and the service? Absolutely pathetic. It's a Sunday night there are maybe 2 people in the place and the waitress says "I'll be right with you" (after 15 mins of us sitting there without drinks) and then proceeds to bring out item after item to the other table for 10 more minutes. We hit the 30 minute mark and I gave up. I have absolutely quit this place. Not the first time, usually it takes at least 15 minutes to get service. I get it if it's busy but it was dead tonight. This is a place we usually try to go to before the races at Tri-State but not any longer. I will buy a meal at the track and continue to support local businesses that actually care about their customers like Dewig's. This place just lost 10-12 meals a year from us (occasionally with 10+ people in the party) and also big orders for takeout. What a disappointment, again.. Having been a weekly regular of Sandy's Pizza since before '86, lately the quality has really been getting worse. Sad to say that I'm not sure if we'll be back. The menu hasn't changed since the business was sold, but the food quality has definitely suffered. On this visit (Tuesday night buffet), we had the buffet, which is pizza, stroms, spaghetti, breadsticks, salad, soft serve ice cream, and desert pizza. Every pizza had a form of veggie or peppers, with no cheese, pepperoni, or meat options. Had to ask the staff to make a kid friendly pizza (cheese, pepperoni, ham, etc). Took awhile after a staff member said there wasn't that much onion on one pizza, (seriously?) and they instead made a combo... Had to ask a second time to get a cheese (which was completely eaten before the previously made combo pizza)... Most of the ingredients seem to have changed, and the flavor has suffered. Cheese is different, as well as the strom sausage. The strom was cold, messy with hard bread, but the salad bar was clean this time, compared to last time. Not one person came around checking on guests, so expect to completely serve yourself. The place was really void of guests compared to the past, which used to be well worth the wait to get a table. Our last pizza ordered to go was unfit to eat, and was pitched away, so if we return, it will be awhile. Sad really... The atmosphere and wonderful smell upon entering Sandy's was very welcoming. The seating is unique and eclectic (self seating btw) We ordered the family bread sticks, which were a little dry and not too exciting but the Combination Party Pizza was amazing. (Feeds 4 to 6 we had tons of leftovers) They took around 20 min to get the pizza out to our table. We noticed that the salad bar was dirty behind the glass ..not good. Sandy's also used paper plates and plastic forks but we pretty much ate the pizza with your hands anyway so the roll of paper towels on the table came in handy. We came here after a ball game. Everybody always raves about the pizza at Sandy's, so we thought we would try it out while in the are. They had a buffet. We had to request that they put a cheese pizza and a plain pepperoni pizza on the buffet as all the available pizzas were geared toward adults. They were happy to make it. They made one half and half . The pizza we requested was gone within 5 minutes because apparently we weren't the only people who wanted single topping pizzas. Our kids loved the smoothie machine but did not care for the pizza. The salad bar had lots of choices. The breadsticks were bland. My husband didn't care much for the Stromboli. I would return if we were in the area but would not make a special trip to this restaurant. read more

Surprisingly good pizza for a pretty reasonable price. Though it won't be mistaken for deep dish, the pizza actually has some crust, which makes it stand out from the ubiquitous Evansville cracker crust. One downside is that topping choices are fairly limited. The sweet red peppers are recommended. The pizza has little to no sauce, the grinder had little to no Mayo and on our last order they forgot our breadsticks. The driver was nice about it but the lady running the phones where rude.
