Came in for my annual eye exam to renew my prescription for my contacts. The facility was very clean, spacious and stocked with a variety of glasses brands to choose from. The examination rooms and equipment were clean and the staff was very welcoming. It was easy to schedule an appointment and I like how many options there were regarding my contacts. They had a machine that takes a photo of the interior of your eyes that was not covered through insurance that I opted out of but was asked to do as a precaution. So after paying the extra $40 for the exam it turned out everything was alright. Overall, the staff was nice, the facility was clean, and there were a lot of glasses on display. I would highly recommend coming if you need an exam done. Be aware they're going to offer the additional $40 exam that is not covered through insurance. read more

My contacts ripped and prescription expired! I was stressing a bit but thankfully Sango Eyecare was able to get me a next day appointment. Front desk staff informed me of the additional services offered that my insurance did not cover just in case I was interested and didn't have any unexpected billing surprises. Dr. Jackson and staff were professional, helpful, and answered all my "aging eyesight" questions. Up-to-date equipment and clean comfortable exam rooms. A trial pair contacts were in stock. I had my first appointment with Sango Eye Clinic today and I couldn't be happier. The office was so well run everyone that I came in contact with was very helpful pleasant and knowledgeable. I came back this year, as my eye insurance had changed and a couple girls from the office raved about this place. I hadn't realized that I had been once to their old location... so they had most of my information still on file. The new building seems a lot bigger and nicely decorated. The staff is super friendly. I got my eyes checked and mentioned trying daily contacts. Supportive and answered all of my questions. Dr York even allowed me to come back fro my eye dilation. Since I get sick afterwards most the time. Then once I got to the front to get fitted for glasses, the lady there was super patient. Sango Eye Care is conveniently tucked away in south Clarksville off Old Farmers Road, near Sango and Exit 11. Thankfully, it is not crammed along the immensely overcrowded corridor of businesses along Exit 4's Hamburger Hill. Appointments can be easily scheduled via their website or an old-fashioned phone call. Once there, you'll be greeted by an attentive staff and spend a short time in a comfortable waiting lounge with coffee and water available. Expect the usual barrage of high-tech eye tests, which are completed in quick and easy fashion. But do NOT expect care to stop at the "Better 1 or better 2" questioning. Specifically, Dr. Adam York takes all the time YOU need, answering all questions and explaining everything fully. Personally, I've seen too many rushed optometrists treat me more like a customer than a patient, but I didn't get that at Sango Eye Care. Great care. Check. But prices? I expected to get my prescription and order contacts elsewhere. However, their price actually beat the bargain basement 1-800-CONTACTS by more than two dollars a box. Bonus, you get the ginormous solution bottles for free. The selection of eyeglasses run the gamut from Wal-Mart cheap to shopping mall metro expensive, but all seemed reasonably priced. Sango Eye Care works with many insurance carriers including TriCare. Ask about military discounts. If you are looking for new glasses for the whole family, ask about their annual trunk sale. While they are new to this location, they were formerly known as Radish Eye Care at a different location and have been in business since 1973, according to their website. That may explain why this relatively new business has an experienced staff of eye care professionals who seem to genuinely care about you and provide exceptional service. read more

The Eye doctors are great. They take their time and do a very professional job. When you get to the Eye Glass part of the building it gets bad. They don't do what they say they will. You had better call and confirm that they have all of your order like they said before you drive there. When you drive almost 50 miles and they don't yet have the order they simply say sorry. Then they show you where you signed a document. In small writing it says that you give up all of your rights as a retail customer. No Refunds, No Exchanges, No Luck. If a person was smart they would never sign a paper like I did before they saw the final glasses in there hand and are happy with them. They told me more than once that they would not contact me until my complete order was in. I received a text and I called to ask their hours. I drove all the way in for nothing. I would have to drive all the way a second time. I was not happy but they said "You signed the paper" which gave me no recourse. I wish the doctors would hire some eyeglass sales people that care about customer satisfaction. The doctors are really great though. read more

I was very impressed with every aspect of our experience at Sango Eye Care. My third grader recently failed a basic vision test at school and they felt that he more than likely needed glasses. When I made the original appointment, the lady on the phone at Sango Eye Care was very conscientious about getting my insurance information correct. We were able to get a night time appointment, which was not something I expected to be able to do. The facility is beautiful, brand new, and cutting edge. We were greeted warmly and saw the doctor quickly. Dr. York was great with my son, who was nervous about his first visit to the eye doctor. The hand-off from front desk to nurse to doctor to glasses consultant (not sure what you would call that role) was seamless. They have many different types of glasses in all different price ranges. Their kids selection was solid. The lady that helped us order his glasses was awesome with my son and managing the details of insurance, cost, etc. I never felt like I was being "sold to" because she really acted more like a consultant than a sales person. My son's glasses were significantly less expensive that I had guessed they would be. Some of course is related to insurance, but the people at Sango Eye Care made me feel confident that I was getting the best of everything. A bit pricey, but Dr. Lynn is a great optometrist. I've been receiving his services for the last 7 years now. They provide what they call Optomap which takes a 3D photo of your eyes. No more dilation, that's what that means. Plus, early detection of numerous diseases that affect the eyes. He is very friendly, pleasant doctor. He doesn't rush through his exam to get you on out his rooms. He actually takes his time to answer any question or concerns you may have. Also, they give decent discounts for all cash paying clients. Highly recommend! I do not have experience with the doctors but I brought in a prescription for my daughter to get glasses for the first time. The ladies up front were phenomenal and so sweet! I felt very well taken care of. The office itself is very stylish and spacious. They have a great selection of frames for everyone, even kids! They offered to have a text automatically sent to me when my daughter's glasses were ready which was awesome! I'm planning on coming back myself when I need new glasses. read more

First off-they accept Tricare. Next they accept a couple of the vision plans under the Federal Employees Dental and Vision Insurance Program (FEDVIP). Next-easy to get an appointment. Great Sango location. Easy to find, easy parking. Welcomed upon entering the building. Polite, friendly and courteous front desk staff. Clean waiting room with coffee and water. Called back for the vision screening (my definition of the interaction with the Optometry Technician.) Then escorted to the actual exam room. The Optometrist came in soon afterwards. Introduced himself and proceeded with a thorough eye exam. Took time to explain what he was doing and answer my questions. Explained each of the options I asked about: Lasix, cataracts, and the need for glasses. Provided me a prescription for glasses. Sure - I could've taken it anywhere (maybe even saved a few dollars?) I opted for the prompt and easy process to select my frames and lenses from Sango Eye Care. Explained my options and pros & cons of each. Great selection of budget frames as well as upscale name brands. I was impressed by prescription Oakleys (I'm a runner), prescription Maui Jims as well as Maui Jim readers (bifocals). They also answered my questions about which FEDVIP plans they accept. I will be getting my continuing eyecare/annual exams and glasses here! You won't be disappointed. read more

Want to give 4 and three quarter stars. Clean rooms, very cozy waiting area, knowledgable staff and technicians. I feel like my insurance options were memorized by the front desk ladies. The whole trip was amazing. My only issue was, I was originally told it would be a five day wait, sometimes sooner. I called after four days just to see, since i was excited. Was then told seven to 10 business days minimum. Not terribly upset or anything, was just REALLY excited to already be in my new slick frames! read more

My daughter and I got to see Dr. York for our initial/new patient exams. Walking in, you can tell (and smell) right away that the clinic is brand new. We were greeted by friendly, smiling staff that got all of our paperwork taken care of with relative ease. The exam was pretty straight forward. No problems. Very thorough. We did spring for the Optomap, which was an additional $35 but well worth the price when attempting to get a great overall picture of the health of your eyes. Dr. York was extremely knowledgeable and approachable, as was his staff. As we are new to the Clarksville area and very choosy about our physicians, it took us a couple of months to actually settle on an optometrist and make the appointment. Very glad we did.
