Had the experience to get glasses at LensCrafters. I went to American Best to get my eye exam…read more Because they always have same day opening. But theirs glasses are not cute. And fall under the old fashion but affordable spectrum. Staff got mad because we didn't want to purchase their frames. We decline the frame nicely and professionally. But, the face and tone staff made was unprofessional. So, I went to LensCrafters to possibly find lenses. I met Santana H, gave her my husband, and I prescription. She directed us with excellent customer service. Her knowledge of the lenses and other options was spectacular. I never had so much fun picking out lenses. And I have never been more educated. Let say never judge a book by its cover. She is great. I look forward to coming back and purchasing more frames from LensCrafters because of the experience I had today.

There were several young girls working at the front counter checking people in and out. They were all very chatty and friendly. A young girl did three different eye tests on three different machines. After she was done she took me to the eye examining room to see the doctor. I had to wait there for ten minutes. I could hear all those young girls talking and laughing the entire time. Must be a fun place to work. Dr Patel did my eye exam. She was very thorough and recommended I have a wellness eye exam that would show the layers of my eyes. This was kind of an emergency visit for me because I had developed a problem with my eye while traveling. She was able to tell me exactly what was going on with that wellness test. One of the best places for an eye exam in Clarksville. $99 plus another $30 for the wellness exam.

This is where I have been going for my eye exams for most of the last ten years (minus the one year…read moreI was told I had to go elsewhere due to my insurance). Although the eye doctors here have a high turnover rate, it hasn't affected the quality of care I receive. I feel confident that the three doctors who I saw most regularly cared for my eye health and still feel good that they all knew what they were doing. I have seen more than three due to appointments and such, but I always ask to be seen by the same as my last appointment (when possible). The office itself is very clean and well kept. Over the years, they have renovated and expanded. So, as of 2017, the interior is practically brand new and very inviting and comfortable. Today, I appreciated all the patience and help from the techs, front desk, and doctor since I had my one-year old with me. He was so good, but they all helped also. Minimal waiting and pleasant attitudes! If you have to wait for your appointment (like I had to once due to going in on a heavy walk-in day), the waiting area has very nice upholstered chairs and benches. The optical store is also open, so you can look at (and try on) eyeglasses. That's always fun! I usually end up buying my glasses elsewhere because I have expensive tastes in frames and a very high index lenses, but I can figure out my style and size here. Sometimes, I just get contact lenses! Last few years, I've been getting new (updated) lenses in my old (favorite) designer frames. These Prada frames are 12 years old, but still sell for over $300 in a different color! Well, if you're looking for an optometrist or optician, check out this place. Or, if you just want to try on their latest frames, go inside. It's nice and almost never crowded. The only thing that could be an issue is parking. It's a small lot for one business and there is another office next door. So, look left for more parking spaces as you enter their business parking. That is why I didn't give 5 stars. Parking. Plus, their eyeglass prices and just out of my price range. Maybe I'm too old school, but I end up ordering online. (Message me, if you're curious about that.)

Recently the deceptive practices in the Clarksville location have me frustrated with not providing full disclosure of costs and what's covered under the insurance to where I've ended up paying for prescriptions for both glasses and contacts when only one is needed to fulfill the insurance obligations. I've purchased the insurance to cover lost or stolen glasses only to discover it doesn't cover lost or stolen! You have to bring something back to utilize the additional insurance purchased. *update: in fine print at the bottom it says doesn't cover lost or stolen:

I had to leave an apartment in Dallas due to severe mold exposure and my eyes were extremely red, watering constantly and swollen. I'd been suffering for months. My own doctor in TX only recommended over the counter eye drops even after doing an exam. When I saw these two doctors they could tell how much I'd been suffering and told me about what a serious condition my eyes were in. They treated me with a prescription eye drop that over a few weeks started to correct the issue...what my TX doctor should have done. They explained everything that was going on with my eyes and they understood the mold impact on my eyes which most doctors don't even understand mold exposure issues. I was very blessed to be under there care. I had to drive a bit into TN from my KY visit but SOOOO worth it!! Thank you all for assisting me!
