Needless to say, THEY NEVER EVEN CALLED ME BACK. Seriously disappointing when you are referred to a doctor and they don't think enough to even call back. Even if they weren't accepting new patients at the time, I think the way they handled the situation is so unprofessional.

Yes, he is usually behind on seeing patients but give the fact he takes time with each patient I can live with it. That said, his staff is horrid. They are cold and rude. I wish I could say this is not the norm but sadly it is. Do not ever expect his staff to be polite, courteous or helpful beyond the absolute minimum necessary. Today, Oct 16, I called to double check my appointment time because I was out of the house and forgot my calendar at home and I didn't want to be late, only to be told they had rescheduled me for tomorrow. I said that no one called me to tell me this. I was told they mailed a letter to me. I asked when it was mailed and stated that I had not received a letter from this office. I had received a phone call to say that the referral for the appointment was for the surgery center and needed to be corrected - they did not mention that the appointment was changed. I even called last week to verify that they had gotten the corrected referral and again no mention of the changed appointment. The woman never answered my question concerning when this letter was supposed to have been mailed. She just repeated that a letter had been mailed. I told her that I have to be in Chattanooga tomorrow and asked if there was an earlier appointment tomorrow morning - No. The next available appointment isn't until March 24, 2020!!! I asked to be placed on the waiting list - there is no waiting list. No, we'll try to work with you, no sorry for the mess up, just do you want the March appointment or not. I have already waited a year for this appointment and now I need to wait another 5 months???!!! No call to tell you they have changed your appointment, while sending a letter is ok - obviously it isn't fool proof. There is no one else in the house to get the mail so if I don't know about it then I didn't get a letter. It is 2019, if you knew far enough in advance to send out a letter of notification then you had enough time to call a few people a day to verbally tell them and verify that the change worked for their schedules. You do not just make changes and too damn bad if it screws your clients.

The doctor repeatedly delayed action, telling me to just come back every six months. Despite these conditions typically resolving in a few months, a year later, I still had the issue. I expressed concern, as my vision affects my archery passion, and his response was to suggest I learn to shoot a rifle instead. After two years, he finally said things were improving, but today, my Army flight physical confirmed the damage is permanent due to prolonged fluid. This doctor's inaction cost me my vision, and I'd strongly advise others to look elsewhere for timely care.

At 8am this morning, I received a call to tell me that I can't be seen today with the nurse practitioner, I will need to see my primary first. Why did they make the appointment with the nurse practitioner many months ago if I needed to see my primary first? UPDATE: I was told that the nurse practitioner and the primary doctor aren't on the same "team". So that is an excuse have have me lose a day's pay? Very disappointed and upset (mentally & physically). I will spend my day off finding another medical practice.
