Absolutely love this little cafe in downtown Powder Springs. I've been here a few time and have always taken my coffee to go, but this time I went with a friend after our walk on the SCT. I ordered the Iced Chai latte with oat milk and a Nutella cruffin (bascially a croissant muffin) and it does not disappoint!! I didn't know that the nutella was stuffed in the middle, I suggest pulling the cruffin apart so you can dip every part of the cruffin in the nutella =D The baristas that works there are friendly and pretty quick getting the orders ready. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the of course the coffee and pastries. It seems like they have expanded their menu and added more items from the last time I was there. When the weather gets a bit cooler, it would definitely be nice to sit outside. The parking behind the cafe is limited, but there are other public parking areas to park at and just a short walk away. read more

My kids and I have been here twice this far! Bella, Heidi, Rachel, and Tia had wonderful customer service when we went! The space had a great vibe! And we have tried the matcha latte, bagel and cream cheese, hot chocolate with whipped cream, raspberry croissant, and hash browns there and everything is good! I've been disappointed with my last two visits to this coffee shop. I usually order an iced chai latte with oat milk, and normally it has the perfect balance of chai and oat milk. However, the last two times I ordered it, it tasted almost entirely like milk with very little chai flavor. Today, I decided to give it another try, but unfortunately, it tasted the same. I politely asked the employees if they could remake it, and I felt like I was met with an attitude. They did remake the drink, but it still tasted exactly the same. explained that it needed more chai because it tasted mostly like milk. I was then told that I needed to add sweetener, which didn't make sense to me because I always order this exact drink the same way and have never needed to add anything to it. What was most disappointing was the attitude I received simply for asking for my drink to be remade. I'm not sure if the second drink was intentionally made the same way or if there is an issue with how the drinks are currently being prepared, but the interaction made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. I hope management takes the time to retrain the staff on both drink preparation and customer service. Customers should be able to politely bring up an issue with their order without feeling like they are bothering or upsetting the employees. read more

The gal needed some coffee as I do not drink it so we went to Sangster's off a recommendation. Great little space. Quiet with people working and, to my knowledge, free WiFi. They serve baked breakfast goods as well as prepared sandwiches. Lots of selection and decent prices. The gal stated the coffee was *strong* and if she's saying that, then it is as the woman owns three coffee machines and uses all of them. Would definitely go back. read more

This cafe has been on my list to try out for a few months now. I'm glad I finally stopped by. I had to park maybe a block away. (Only a 2 min walk) It's located in a cute area with other shops and restaurants. The barista was extremely helpful. I want to share some info just in case anyone else wants to stop by! Their fall drink specials (Sept 2025) are only served hot, not iced. An iced Chai latte can only be served in a 16 oz. They have 12oz and 16oz options for the majority of their drinks. With that, their maple chai is delicious! My sister grabbed a regular iced chai and she wasn't a big fan because she likes it on the sweeter side. read more

I discovered a hidden gem from a TikTok post. I decided to check them out and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The café is quaint and so cute. They have two window nooks that I can totally see somebody getting lost in reading a book and drinking some of their delicious drinks. Did I mention free Wi-Fi! So this will be a great spot to come to with your laptop and get some work done. Let's talk about the service. Ariel and Rachel were absolutely amazing. They talk to me about where the pastries come from and about where the coffee comes from. I had to try a couple of things because I was very intrigued. So here's what I got. A much lemonade with raspberry added... So good and I'm not even a Matcha girl. I also tried a chai latte and added English toffee syrup to it. Game changer. As far as food went, let's talk about the delicious ham and Swiss croissant. It is delivered daily from a French bakery. And the croissant is super flaky and flavorful. And the blueberry cheese danish so good. I don't often get to go to coffee shops because of what time I get off work. But I love that they stay open on certain days until 7 PM. And also have daily specials throughout the week. I have found a new coffee shop that I will definitely return to over and over again. Sangsters is such a gorgeous, adorable, cute coffee shop in Powder Springs. It perfectly sits in the heart of the downtown area, with plenty more shops, including the amphitheater, which is directly across the street. I also was very pleased when I saw Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee on the menu because it's so hard to find. So, I got a little inquisitive, and yes, this is a Jamaican Coffee shop. The barista gave me a little backstory on Sangster, saying the owners hail from Jamaica, and the son grew up working in the business with his dad, who eventually handed the company to him after he retired. I finally got to try Sangster's new coffee shop a couple of days ago and really liked it! Bindley Sangster, the owner, was there and I got to spend some time talking to him. He actually also owns the coffee plantation that grows the Blue Mountain coffee that he uses. We've needed a good coffee shop in this area for some time. I don't particularly like Starbucks coffee because, in my opinion, they over-roast their coffee. Sangsters roasts their coffee in house in a roaster that's about the size of a regular refrigerator. Freshly roasted coffee on demand! I had a cup of their Blue Mountain Coffee and it was quite good. Smooth, mild flavor. Not at all like the burnt taste at Starbucks. The only drawback was that it was in a disposable cup and the taste of the cup detracted from the coffee. Next time, I'll ask for it in one of their warmed ceramic mugs! I'm a big espresso fan, so I also got a shot of their espresso neat. Nothing added. Wonderful!! Concentrated coffee flavor with no bitter or burnt taste! Again, get it in one of their heated ceramic espresso cups! Bin told me that their mugs and cups are custom made for them by David Pinto in Jamaica. He is the premier potter in Jamaica. Bin also told me that he already has plans in place to expand his seating. In my opinion he needs more seating. When I go to a coffee shop, I want to sit, talk, and enjoy my coffee. I had a terrible experience! It took entirely way too long for the food I ordered to come out almost 30 minutes. The worker that took my order forgot what I ordered and had an issue remaking it. I saw cockroaches in the corner of the cafe while I was there. Most importantly the coffee was not good. I just found this lovely coffee shop the other day! Unbelievably grateful. And after months of complaining to my roommate of not finding a good coffee shop on the West side of Atlanta. What a find! You have no idea. It's charming. It feels like home; something I look for when I have to grind out work. And I love supporting small businesses. The staff is so friendly.
