Decaf almond milk, iced latte and regular iced latte, size smalls
    Erin F.

We stopped at the Sanibel Bean twice for coffee during our week vacation on the island. My husband and I both really enjoyed our ice lattes. I am dairy-free and I ordered a decaf almond milk latte, and they were easily able to accommodate and made a delicious iced latte that I thoroughly enjoyed! The prices are a lot more expensive than you will find your typical coffee shop, but it's worth it for a vacation treat. The first time we visited, we both ordered iced lattes, and we were not asked what size we wanted. We were defaulted to the medium size which was pretty pricy and more coffee than I wanted to drink. The next time, I was sure to order a small and there was no issue. There is plenty of seating and fun island themed artwork in the large dining area with bathrooms. There is also extensive seating outside in a nicely landscaped lush patio area. It's worth biking or walking over to the Bean, and there is something on their expensive menu for everyone!

I absolutely love their Chai Tea Latte! Soo yummy. My husband had the coffee and said it was delicious. Super friendly service and very clean. Sanibel Bean is the spot for a great early morning pick me up! Till next time...

I'll make this short and to the point: We really liked this coffee shop, situated in the heart of Sanibel Island, our favorite vacation spot. My only criticism is that the staff seemed utterly clueless on both our visits this week. To the owner or proprietor: Yes - I know: Covid, Covid, Covid. I understand that you're probably scraping the bottom of the barrel, trying to find and hire employees. I feel for you, but in a sense, I actually don't care. I'm paying full price (along with some Covid-induced increases, no doubt) so I should get some semblance of 2019-era service when I place my order. Labor problems are, unfortunately, yours and yours alone to solve. How do I define good service? It's actually very simple: All I require is that the person taking my order shouldn't look at me like I have a 3rd arm growing out of my forehead when I place my order. When I encounter that at any restaurant, it usually means the staff member has no clue about his/her own menu. So, in conclusion, terrific coffee and great food. The sausage & egg was fabulous. The service: Slow and untrained.

I chose this place because I wanted an iced latte coffee. This was the only coffee shop nearby that offered a variety of coffee options. I ordered the caramel iced latte which was really good. I also had the everything bagel with egg & cheese. This was pretty good as well. Plenty of coffee and breakfast selections to choose from. Plenty of seating inside & out. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking around the store. Service was very fast! I recommend you check out if you're ever on Sanibel Island.

Stopped here for a coffee and sandwich. Everything was good. Solid place to grab a coffee in the morning.

First, the outdoor seating was just right and a nice size picnic table to enjoy the delicious ice cream without feeling that others are right on top of you. Second, the waffle with ice cream which came in a frisbee was delicious. This would have been a five star rating but for the nuts sprinkled throughout the banana waffle which were not advertised (although we aren't allergic, this could be dangerous to anyone that is allergic). The ice cream was delicious and the waffle was cooked just right. If you like Reese's peanut butter cups than this waffle delight is just for you. Finally, an extra thank you for letting us keep the frisbee "dishes" and giving us clean ones to take home as souvenirs. Thank you.

Sanibel Bean is a wonderful sweet local coffee shop on the island. All their iced lattes are a great pick me up from the heat! The workers are all so kind and knowledgeable of the menu! We will definitely be back when we come back to the island.

This place is amazing! They have so many options on their menu and the staff is so friendly. I have had the iced cafe caramel, iced chai latte, and the very berry smoothie all in the past and absolutely loved them! Highly recommend :)

Wonderful experience here! Huge menu with a great selection & they have dairy free milk alternatives as well. The coffee was wonderful. The employees were very nice, friendly & helpful. Quick & timely service! We really enjoyed our visit here and will be back.

We've been coming to Sanibel for over 6 years and I'm mad that this was our first time here. The full coffee shop experience with plenty of space to sit with a beautiful room with windows. The coffee was delicious. We will be coming back on all our visits.

Good everything bagels. The coffee was pretty good, we had iced mochas and they weren't overly sweet.

We love…read morebreakfast, and after trying so many places over the years, it can start to feel like every menu offers the same dishes prepared the same way. Lighthouse Cafe managed to make a classic breakfast memorable. We ordered the French toast, and the portion was huge and easy to split. More importantly, it was absolutely delicious. The eggs we ordered were cooked exactly as needed, the bacon was perfectly crisp, and the cheese grits were rich, creamy, and full of flavor. We literally cleaned our plates and ate every bite despite our intentions to simple stop by for a taste. One of the biggest surprises was adding fish to breakfast. It's not something I would have ever thought to eat for breakfast, but it ended up being one of the highlights of the meal. The fish was incredibly tender and paired surprisingly well with the rest of the meal. It was such a unique addition that it changed the way I think about breakfast. We intentionally ordered some standard breakfast items because we believe that's the best way to judge a breakfast restaurant. If a place can make the classics exceptionally well, that's usually a great sign. Lighthouse Cafe exceeded our expectations across the board with their delicious plates and service. Not to mention it is nice to visit a locally owned restaurant whose owner is present and working alongside their staff. From the quality of the food to the generous portions, everything was excellent. If you're on Sanibel and want a breakfast that goes beyond the ordinary while still nailing all the classics, Lighthouse Cafe is a great place to visit.
