I was very excited about getting my first injection as he seemed competent. Rare. What happened to me today felt more like assault. I have been assaulted before and I feel just as disembodied. I was told I would receive local anesthesia before my procedure and I did not. During the procedure Dr. Leftkowitz had a conversation with his pre-med assistant about where he might go for the summer. During this time he did not tell me when he would start and he did not apply local anesthesia. Did not say "little pinch" nor "big pinch" At one point I actually screamed "what the hell are you doing?!" And. When he was done he actually said see you're all better! And rubbed my head like I was a child. The braggadocio! The racism! Uhhh no. I'm 46 and No one has ever rubbed or patted me on the head. No PoC would ever. Perhaps God sent me there to teach. I went over to CMS at Medicare to start that complaint and am all set to call my friends in Albany at the Office of Professional Medical Conduct Central Intake Unit. I was uncertain of prolotherapy but had been recommended it for my hypermobility by a rehab specialist I'd started seeing who had seem Dr. Likver for her own hypermobility-related issues. She assured me that she'd seen great results, and had sent many patients to Dr. Likver since. And she was right. The intake process was incredibly thorough, and while progress has not been linear and the path has not been easy, I've now gone through about 10 rounds of injections to great results. My case was pretty extreme, so I do not exaggerate when I say the treatments have been life-changing. My pain has gone down drastically, when I am in pain I recover quicker, and the prolotherapy has allowed me to resume my life again after years of coping or missing out on important things because of my body's meltdown. Dr. Likver has been a great practitioner, and I know that from having seen so many specialists all over the profession. Not only does she get good results, but unlike many doctors I've seen, she takes so much time and puts in so much effort, rather than shooing you away or asking if your problems are really as bad as you think. I consider Dr. Likver a partner in my recovery, not just because of the injections but because she listens and takes feedback, to provide the personalized treatment that I needed all along but couldn't find.

Quick Overview on my 2nd visit, I came 7 minutes late today (12:07 pm for a 12pm appointment) and…read moreno staff complained. At 12:28pm I saw Dr. Cong He, after my intake was done by two gentlemen prior. I was out of there by 12:55pm, and all of that included with take home printouts (in both Chinese and English) , separate instructions to coordinate care and medical imaging needed. The office was empty when I first arrived; It was completely unexpected since it was the opposite phenomenon before. I inquired if I had gotten lucky with this appointment time, or something else occured? Apparently, the patients have been verbally abusing the hard working on site staff members was getting out of hand. They tend to have a lot of elderly patients, so their family members act like they shouldn't have to wait, but most of their patients are "OLD" ... You're not the only fossil waiting to be seen or treated for your pain and discomfort. The sense of entitlement just from age ... RIDICULOUS !!! As a fellow patient, I'm in my mid 30s, here for problems of my own too; So because you're elderly, I should wait longer while in pain ?? (if we're going by that sense of entitlement.) I've worked in various medical fields, and have witnessed way too much nonsense. People come in as "patients" but behave like spoiled brats, while throwing tantrums, and somehow thinks they're "special" somehow, someway. Every medical office/ institution, alongside insurance companies, all have their own rules and regulations to abide by; therefore also requires protocols and criterias to be met. The medical staff can't perform miracles at the whimsies of individuals. And money doesn't solve everything. Disease and illnesses doesn't discriminate by any standards, biases, or nepotism. Appreciate the fact that the staff at this office is consistently thorough, understanding, and doesn't rush their patients out the office. There are plenty of places where we end up waiting over an hour to 1.5hour and then the doctor doesn't even see us for 5 minutes. Or having gone to ER and be stuck in a hospital for a minimum of 8-10 hours and not even get a pillow. Hang, Thomas, and other friendly staffs at this office are people too. They are people, that actually "do their jobs" !!! (both times, thorough, and helpful with explanations from beginning to end.) The nervous system is complicated as hell, and that's an understatement. (See picture uploaded of the nervous system connected to your spine, posted in their office.) Their jobs don't include getting screamed and yelled at, this isn't Burger King, and NO - You can't have it your way!!!

I've been going to their Lexington Ave. location for close to 3 months already…read more While Dr. Iannicello is pretty good, his staff isn't and patients end up paying for this while we're in PAIN. Their insurance/billing department isn't the best. Some procedures require approval from your insurance which is understandable. The problem is that they'll tell you they'll call you once insurance approves so we can proceed and they never call you back. You would give them enough time to then call them and either things have already been approved or, they have not started the process. The receptionist lady is passive aggressive when asked certain questions regarding this. I get it, she's probably tired of this but also, it's not the patient's fault either. We're here in PAIN and it seems like they let work sit and wait for the patient to call so they could move on it. Everywhere else I go, they'll contact my insurance for approval and turnaround is usually about 2 days max but here, about a week, two weeks and ever longer. At one of my visits the lady receptionist didn't check me in till 45 minutes after my arrival and good thing the doctor noticed and was on it. Yesterday morning I called them because again, waiting for insurance to approve pain injections. The receptionist was passive aggressive and sighing as if this was my fault and said she'll speak to the doctor about it and hung up on me after. I had told her I would like to get this done by this week since I will have another insurance and that probably won't kick in till a couple of weeks or who knows how long and here I am IN PAIN because the meds given to me or PT hasn't been making any improvements with my issue. I also remember several times patients calling them saying they never received a callback from them regarding anything the office had to reach out to them. Receptionist would claim they did call but it's interesting the pattern of several people saying the same thing which makes me believe the patients and plus, here I am finding myself being on top of them as if I work there. I have not received any calls from the office and at this point I don't even feel like calling them and dealing with the receptionist while am in PAIN so decided to write this review so others could be aware of things that may happen when visiting this place. UPDATE: 2 days after leaving my review. I have not received a call from anyone at this office. I decided to call my insurance and they told me they just received the request from them today and they approved it right away for me to get my injection shots for my PAIN. I called their office and told them I have not heard back from them and the receptionist placed me on hold and came back asking me what time tomorrow I would like to go it. My theory was right all along about this place. The leave the patient's information just laying on their desk and do nothing about it unless you call in and they'll blame insurance or anyone else to cover up their actions. Thankfully because I was on top of them, I'll be able to get my shots before my current insurance ends. To say the least, this shows lack of consideration and is also HORRIBLE on their part given the circumstances patient's are enduring and the trust they give them.
