had the worst experience ever. casino bus coming home from River Rock to SF broke down half way home, 25 seniors on bus. Driver was told by his superior to fix the bus himself; bus driver does NOT equal mechanic; then was told another bus would be coming to pick us up within the hour. We all were there for 5 hours before a bus came. Totally unacceptable. Do not book your service with them unless you have a mechanic in the house (he also better have his tools with him). And, said mechanic should not be expected to get paid, as I'm sure our bus driver was not for the extra 5 hours he spent with us. read more

Before, this San Francisco's bus company used only Setras and Vanhool buses. Now, they added a few brand new Volvo buses to their fleet. The buses are comfortable, and clean. Booking was very easy and they sent photos of the buses which looked new but the only downside was nobody was allowed to sit on the first row I assume because of covid . I was traveling eastbound on Geary when I had to come to a sudden stop at Arguello because a pedestrian stepped off the curb. I heard a loud horn and saw the bus behind me swerve to the right of me to avoid hitting me. He then rolled down his window and started cursing at me telling me why I don't drive with my eyes on the rear view mirror. And then he called me stupid and said I don't know how to drive. What could I do even if I had my eyes in the rearview mirror? A pedestrian stepped out in front of me and I had to stop. Isn't it the responsibility of the person driving to not rear-end anyone? Doesn't it mean that they're either speeding or following too closely? And then to be insulted to boot! The nerve of this bus driver. I would kindly ask the company to review driving procedures with their bus drivers. read more

My only interaction with this company: While driving on 19th Avenue in S.F. during morning rush hour today, the incompetent/rude bus driver decides to suddenly and without warning change over two lanes at once (illegal and dangerous), cutting me off and nearly causing an enormous accident. What's worse is that I had my two young children in the car as I was taking them to school. I would never want to associate with any company that would hire such a reckless driver. I noticed this fairly new travel front in the Outer Richmond and decided to give them a call. Instead of giving them details on the phone I asked if I could send an email detailing our possible itinerary. The woman who answered said they would reply as soon as they received it and confirmed the email address before I hung up. I never heard back. I even tried calling again and the phone just rang. How can this be a full service travel agency if they don't follow through let alone answer their phone? That's okay, I found another agency and their service was top notch. We rented a bus from Sanmo Travel for our cast and crew to go to Los Angeles from Sacramento. They told us we were getting one of their new buses (2021-2022). This bus definitely wasn' t one of the newer ones. There were times when the toilet on the bus would not flush, there was no toilet paper and while they told us the bus was ours for the weekend and that the driver could only drive a certain number of hours before he had to rest, yet the driver shared with us that we had to take all our stuff off the bus because he had to go pick up another group and drop them off somewhere. We paid for this bus for the entire weekend as well as paid for the drivers room for 2 nights. THe driver called his corporate office to let them know of our concerns and the lady that he let us speak with told us if we had a problem, they could just take their bus back to the bay area (and leave us stranded in Los Angeles). Our bus driver Fei was great and very patient with our group. They dont tell you all the charges up front but gradually introduced things along the way such as Transfer fee from Bay to Sacramento, Drivers Gratuity (had to be paid up front and we could not give it to the driver), extra $250 for a cleaning fee seperate from the deposit we paid to rent the bus, etc. These cost should be told to you up front so you can make a real informed decision on the entire cost. Wont use this company again. read more

So...not such a good experience with these folks. Called three times to get information from them, three different people gave me three different answers. They also don't do business over the phone or internet. Asked if I could buy tickets over the phone, and they said no, I had to come in person. It's not that easy to get there if you don't live in the Outer Richmond. So I put on my adventure gear and ventured to the Outer Richmond. Got there and a fourth person told me I couldn't do what the other three people on the phone had told me I could. Well, that sucks since I just spent 45 minutes getting there. And the fourth person was crabby to boot. There will not be any of this company in my future...EVER. read more

Terrible!! The worst ride I have ever experienced. My first trip to River Rock Casino on this tore up bus #707 the dirty seats, old smell like moth balls. I find out the bus haven't been serviced on the return trip home. No water, means No air conditioning.. We have to wait for another bus or they have to service this one on site. Guess we will be here a while longer... ugh. The driver don't speak much English at all and he looks very frustrated. Never again! Get it together Sanmo Travel, service your buses!!!!!!! This was our first time using this service to River Rock Casino. The bus arrived at one of their pick up stops at 15th and Mission. Several people boarded, we attempted to pay the driver but he refused, that should have been a red flag. We sat down in what we thought was a free for all seats. He picked up additional people at two other stops. No one mentioned tickets or reserved sets; we were told it was a first come first serve basis. It sounded too good to be true. The driver went to his last stop in the Sunset area. The people started to board, one Asian woman start yelling at me, "you in my seat, I have a ticket." I asked her to stop yelling and talk to the driver since he allowed us to board the bus, she continues to yell and me. The driver said that these people have tickets and since you do not have a ticket you need to get off the bus, if you don't get off I will call the police,. I asked him why you allowed us to get on this bus, if you knew you required tickets. It's pouring down raining. And we are about 6 miles from where he picked us up. All he did was shug his shoulders. The police arrived and told us to get off the bus. I asked why he said you do not have a ticket. I said all of these people do not have a ticket. He told me since this is a private bus, and the driver want you off you need to get off, if not we will cite you. This was the worst experience in my life. It was an embarrassing. The people were very rude and hostile to us. They were clapping when the police arrived, like we were some criminals. Please whatever you do take this bus service, if you do you do at your own risk. I would give less one star if I could. I've never been a Sanmo bus and I never will. A Sanmo driver followed me from Petaluma to San Rafael high beaming and trying to pass me at over 80MPH in a downpour. The driver would come right up on me as I was hydro planing in the rain with no regard to anyone's safety. The driver was weaving in and out of lanes to pass people. Driving so erratically that it was a hazard to anybody on the freeway. I tried calling the company and as in all other reviews no answer. This bus was 719, if you value your life you will not get on a Sanmo bus. CHP was called and hopefully the driver got pulled over but at the speed he was going he was probably over the bridge by then. I suggest anybody in Marin or Sonoma county to not use this bus line to go anywhere. There many other lines out there with drivers that are safe and probably have all there credentials. Use Local Marin county and Sonoma county bus lines. We don't any SF buses in our counties. Stay out. Can't so enough of how unsafe this driver was. I hope nothing more for this company to disappear..... read more

I got to the casino in about one hour there buses are very clean they are Mercedes benz this is definitely the best travel agency company out there . I will definitely come back . We were at the pick-up location at 25th Avenue and Geary yesterday, Monday, June 15th, 2016 at 11:AM. There is, according to the schedule posted online, a pick-up at that location at 11:25 AM, A Sanmo bus passed at approximately 11:30. He did not even slow down and apparently didn't even bother to look to see if anyone was waiting. I had tried to reach someone at Sanmo earlier, but they apparently are "too busy" to answer the telephone or return calls. When I tried to talk to the drivers about the problem, they "didn't understand" what I was trying to say. And they were not courteous at all. I would think Sanmo would educate their drivers at least a little. After all, their drivers show the public what the company is like before any other type of "advertising". If I ever take Sanmo again, it will only be because I have no other way to get to where I want to go. read more

You need to train your drivers how to be nice to the customers. I saw your driver saying " No coffee, no eating, you cannot ride my bus" He parked his bus on the Highway 101 shoulder and just to yell at his customer. I couldn't believe his rude behaviour so do something about your driver. Even police will not yell or treat any traffice violator when they pull one over. We are fare paying customers. He has no right to treat any customers badly! read more
