There's a bike path along the beach that was gorgeous. It was all flat. It was easy to navigate the bike. Two people peddle while the left driver steers the wheel. Two kids can sit in the front and 3 people can sit inside. I'd highly recommend seeing Santa Barbara this way! We found street parking a block down. The bad: It would be nice if the above shade extended out a bit further to cover the kids sitting in the front. It would be nice if there were a shelf in the back or hook for backpacks/bags. We had a beach Bogg bag that we were able to hang on the cup holder. The interesting: They didn't check our license. Checking out a bike was super simple and quick. It was also super simple and quick to return it. I appreciated the ease and efficiency since I had toddlers with me. Helmets are optional.

Although we usually have a pleasant shopping experience, this time it was very lackluster. The store wasn't busy at all. There were maybe four or five other people in the store besides us. NOT one person greeted us when we walked into the main area of the store and yet there were THREE employees all behind the counter just socializing with one another. The one time any of the four of us were even acknowledged by an employee was when my husband had merchandise in his hands. We're going to skip this place next time and spend our money supporting other businesses.

When I questioned it, I was told the price had increased. However, the moment I began taking photos, the explanation changed immediately. Suddenly, the price was back to $2, and instead of correcting the overcharge, I was offered an extra drink. I declined and simply asked for my $3 back. What should have been a straightforward correction turned into an uncomfortable interaction, marked by an arrogant, dismissive attitude and a complete lack of basic courtesy or accountability. There was no apology at any point. If pricing only becomes accurate when questioned, that raises serious concerns. Visitors to Santa Barbara deserve better. Double-check your total before paying.
