this was from a 2014 experience. came up on my FB memories: Unbelievable!! We decided to use 408 Jump for my daughters birthday party. They were supposed to call the day before to confirm, drop off at 10am and pick up at 5pm. I didn't get a call yesterday to confirm, they called this morning at 930am to say they were canceling due to rain. I asked them to check the weather again cause it's not supposed to rain until this evening. They called back 10 minutes later and said they will be here by 11am. Cool, 12pm comes around and I call to find out where they are. They are late and will be here by 1pm!! I asked for half-price because we're not having it for the full time we were supposed to have it for. They were only going to knock off $20 and I argued and only got $30 off. I have had the pleasure of attending a few parties that 408jump has set-up at and I have to say that i have not experienced better parties with the variety of jumperz, water-slide, and cotton-candy machines?!!? They keep the party going with exactly what the crowd needs, fun things to do!! The parties never have a lull. They have a huge selection of jumpers and I am surprised at all the current popular themes that they have in their collection (New Superman, Disney, Bat-man, and a lot more). Do not use this company. I booked a princess themed bounce house on Tuesday with Manny. He was scheduled to arrive on Sunday at 1pm. Before hanging up I asked him if I needed a confirmation number or anything. No, he said, you are all set for Sunday. The kids were all so excited waiting for the bounce house to arrive. Yay!!! Sunday,1:30pm - guess what? No bounce house. Fail!! When I called to check what was going on, the same Manny that I had spoken with on Tuesday tried to tell me I hadn't booked anything with him, that it must have been some other company. I double checked my phone log and my notes. There was no mistake. I had definitely booked with Manny when I called Tuesday 4/28/2012, 2:36pm. His was the only company that I called. I had even sent my wife a message about it right after I hung up from booking with him. When I called back to tell him this (why did I bother?), he was so condescending, like he could do me a big favor and bring a bounce house since I had not booked one. They have the most reviews and the highest rating so i decided to give them a try. I was overwhelmed by their huge selection, so that made it a little difficult for me to choose what I wanted for my godson's birthday party. I'm not too impressed with 408 Jump. First fail: Did not bring me my correct "banner" for the jumper. Originally, I had requested a "generic Happy Birthday" banner. But, called back and actually talked to someone to change it to "Strawberry Shortcake" to go with my daughter's birthday theme. The kids ultimately don't care, but it left a sore taste in my mouth. The 2 young men that had dropped off and set up the jumper said he might possibly come back. (I think he might have tried to call, but didn't leave a message.) Second fail: I'm not too sure about the actual cost and their specials. Online the price was $95, but I was quoted $98. When I mentioned the coupon online, the guy said that it was expired. (I don't see any expiration date on it.) They ended up picked the jumper past 9:30pm. FYI, they take credit cards, but if you pay with cash, you don't have to pay for sales tax. read more

I called several weeks before my party and surprisingly i 408JUMP didnt forget about me, i was worried because i had forgotten which companiy we chose but thankfully they do confirmations and i was reminded. The manager was very polite and priced matched up with another comparable bounce house business. He also let me know if I had any questions, I could always call him back. We live in cambell so it wasnt really a problem for them to deliver me a jumper, ON TIME TOO . thank god. lol. when they got to my house the set up the jumper very quickly and also made sure that it was clean and safe for us to use. Well... I have had better experiences with renting bouncers. They were scheduled to drop off the 13 x 13 batman bounce house at 11am. Called at 11am to inform me that their "only" Batman banner they had tore while loading it on the truck. To compensate they would upgrade me to the 15 x 15 bouncer. Well, if I wanted the 15 x 15 that's what I would have ordered. (My driveway doesn't fit that large size or that's what I would have requested.) And Batman was no longer an option. So we ended up with a half hour late Toy Story 15 x 15 bouncer. Granted my son, the birthday boy LOVES Toy Story, it was no what we ordered or on time. (The handmade superhero capes meant for the superhero party didn't go with the toy story bouncer. It's silly to get upset, yet a lot of effort went into organizing and decorating.) It was supposed to be picked up by 9pm. It is now 9:47. I want to go to bed. Where are they? No idea. The bouncer had dust and leaves inside. They had to borrow my broom to clean it out. They wanted me to pass out business cards. Really? You want a good review. Eventually they gave me $10 off. Usually I use another company, but this birthday my boys specifically requested a Star Wars theme and my usual bounce house outfit (Bay Area Jump) didn't have that option, so I called 408Jump. Actually, I emailed them first, but no one responded. So I called a couple of days later. I should have known right then that they were trouble. The morning of the party arrived; I was used to the bounce house coming nice and early, as time passed I started to get nervous. I called and left a message; no one called me back. About 1 1/2 hours later, with 45 minutes to go before party time, I got someone on the phone. He explained that the guys' truck had broken down and that they were running late. Okay, I'm thinking, but you maybe could have called me to let me know you were coming? As guests arrived, they kept asking "where's the bounce house?" Yeah... When they finally arrived, the kids were thrilled. The bounce house was clean and Star Wars themed and everything I wanted. The guys set up quickly and said I could pay at pickup, which was good because I was kinda busy. The house was full of guests as the party had been going on for over 30 minutes already. For my little cousin's bday, my family wanted to have a bounce house for the kids, so I suggested them to give 408jump a try. Used their website to make reservations and shortly after they emailed me twice to confirm my bounce house. On the day of the event, they delivered the jumper within the time frame as promised. I was SOO surprised that they arrived on time! Considering other reviews said they came SUPER late. The jump house arrived clean, dry, and in good condition! Whewwww! Looks like they improved on their service. Good job! The kids loved it! I think my aunt will use 408 Jump again when they have something for the kids. This is a company run by very nice and friendly people. I've used them two years in a row for my daughter's birthday party. After her 3rd birthday she talked all year about how much fun the princess castle bounce house was. Even telling strangers, when I turn 4, I'm going to have a bounce house!!!! There was no way she was going to let me off the hook for her 4th birthday. We've enjoyed renting bounce houses with them. Both times I've used them they've shown up on time to set everything up, it really does help me with stress when everything is on time. They can set up on grass or on concrete. Once the bounce house is up, they go inside and sanitize everything by wiping it down, WOOH do i feel better knowing that theyre clean LOL! i love it when they make sure its clean . They'll give you some instructions on safety as well, no foods or drinks! =[ wish we could've enjoyed our alcohol while being in the jumper. After that, it's bouncing fun for the little ones for the next 6 hours or so. Is there a better way to work off all that sugar from cake? probably not -_- Even by the end of the party there are always a few adults in there jumping and rolling around like fools. The guys who own it recently bought alot of brand new jumpers so there inventory should stocked up! Their equipment looks well maintained and really new. They also give you their cell number, just in case anything goes wrong or you have questions. Although I have only rented a bounce house from them, they also provide face painting and balloon twisting but not through them, they will prabably refer you else where but all that makes my job way easier. The "office" guy who takes the calls is not very professional. I am quite disappointed as 408 Jump was well recommended but I did not like the communication. I was not contacted 24 hrs prior to delivery, I had to make the call myself. When I called in the morning before the party (3pm) the same office guy states ,"We'll be there around 3." Ridiculous as the policy states it will be delivered before the start of the party. When I showed signs of agitation, he adjusted his answer to 2:30pm. Thankfully the awesome driver John called me 30 mins later and he delivered it around 1245pm instead. I definitely would probably seek a different party rental, as their operations side of things worries me. read more

We spoke for a little while and he suggested that the Disney Princess Castle 15x15. I called a day in advanced to make sure the jumper was still coming and Manny answered the phone again and reassured me that they would be there (Had some bad experiences with other companies not showing). My son wanted to get a jumper for his bday party that just passed yesterday 6/9. I ended up selecting 408jump because they had a good price for the regular jumper that had a basketball net inside. I also rented out 2 tables and 20-25 chairs ( can't remember) the day is still a blurr. The cost came out to $125 bucks for all and includes delivery and pick up. Andrew was the person's name that dropped off and picked up the items. He was very nice and helpful. They arrived on time and picked up at the desired time as well. If you call and ask about rental chairs and tables you get a discount IF you are renting out a jumper as well. I made the reservations over the phone and it was simple as that. We got a 4 in 1 jumphouse for my son's birthday for our backyard. Manny was courteous and professional, even when I made my husband call to confirm for the 3rd time because I'm paranoid! Lol. The guys that brought the jumper were sweet to my son and set-up was instantaneous! They were so fast! We had the jumpy all day! It was a hit with all the kids and the grown-ups too! OK, so Yelp doesn't always lead us to make the best choices, right? So, I was leary when I saw the 4.5 star rating on Yelp for 408jump. However, I took the risk and rented a jump house for my son's 1st birthday party. (Yes, his FIRST birthday, but all the other "kid" guests were 3 or older, so there you go.) Anyway, I called them up to reserve my house. After the kind gentleman answered all of my questions, I told him I really didn't care about the *theme*. It was a 1-year-old's birthday party, after all. So, he offered me a smaller birthday-cake shaped bounce house for a LOWER price. What happened to the UPsell? I got DOWNsold! Yesssssss! So, we got it and it was NOT small at all. All 6 kids at the party were in there straight on through. Super huge and I paid less than I've seen at all the other places. The guys came right on time before the party and came a bit late to pick up the jumphouse. In fact, it was dark and we were putting the kids to bed, so we told them to pick it up tomorrow. They were totally OK with that, so we did a little bit of jumping in the AM and then saw it off in the mid-morning. And, this was all for almost half the price of what I rented a 4-hour bounce-house for my daughter's birthday last year, but we got ours for 24-hours! It was a totally great deal. I've used 408 Jump a number of times over the past few years and have had great experiences until now. My most recent experience was just unacceptable, however, and we will not be using them again. Pros: -Great jumpers -Pleasant employees who drop off, set up and take the jumpers away Cons: -Their office staff is a total mess. I reserved a large jumper for Thanksgiving given that we were going to have a lot of kids. I asked for a confirmation to be emailed to me and the person who took the reservation said that that was not an issue. Several days later, I hadn't received the confirmation, so called again. Now the office rep said that I had to pay first to get the confirmation. I told him that that was not the case in the past. Nevertheless, I paid for the single day rental. I then received a simple credit card receipt by email but it lacked date of drop off, date of pick up and which jumper I had reserved. I called them again (3rd time) and they said that they couldn't email me those details. What??? It was now a couple of days before the event and I didn't want to spend time looking at new places so let it be as is. The guys showed up a little later than expected, but not too bad. Nice guys, set it up well and left. That was Thursday, Thanksgiving. The guys were supposed to return on Friday to pick it up. No show. Rained. Saturday - I called the office guy and he asked that I pump it up again to drain the water and that he'd have the guys pick up the jumper. I ran the blower for 3 hours, dumping out 95% of the water. No show again by the guys. I called several times, no answer. Sunday - more rain, called a few times, no response. Monday - more rain, called a few times, no response. Monday night, 7:30 pm, the guys show up to pick up the jumper unannounced. Sure, no problem, it's not like I have anything else to do. My time is your time fellas. Come on in. By Monday night, the jumper was totally water logged. The guys spent over 30 minutes rolling the thing around to dump out the water. Felt bad for them. Wasn't their fault that they were sent after several days of rain. That credit goes to the trusty office guy. Anyway, they finally got the waterlogged jumper off my property, but that team of 3 was wet, muddy and exhausted. All throughout though, the pick-up team was pleasant, professional and apologetic. That said, I wasted a lot of time with phone calls and 408 Jumps communications and planning are a disaster. We're done with them. read more

The most HORRIBLE experience I've ever had renting anything from anyone. I rented an inflatable obstacle course and it was set up and left without being tied down and when I looked inside after the staff left I noticed that the inside was DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY!!!!!! Filled with PINE NEEDLES, DIRT, CANDY WRAPPERS, an REEKING of body odor. It was horrible!!!!!!! After calling to complain because my guests were arriving in 30 minutes, this is what I was told: Employee: Do you have a leaf blower? You could blow it out yourself. Me: No, I don't. Employee: you could probably use a bloom and then wipe it down with a wet towel. Me: How about you send someone over here to clean this. Employee: Ok, they will be there in 30 minutes. Just leave a broom out and any cleaning stuff you have because he won't have a leaf blower. I won't charge you the extra $40 to keep it overnight. An employee showed up, swept the inside as best he could and ran a wet towel over a few things and then left. He couldn't do anything else since he didn't come with anything and only had what I could provide him. After he left I WENT TO THE STORE, BOUGHT DISiNFECTANT, and went through the obstacle course BY MYSELF WITH MY GUESTS INSIDE MY HOUSE. Don't EVER use this place. I have NEVER had such a negative experience with a company EVER in my life. ...After much thought, I decided 3 stars is a better representation of their service. How do I rate? Our experience with 408Jump had it's good points and bad points. Here are the good: -Vincent was able to accommodate us within the same week of booking with a smaller than standard size jumper. -We were concerned about space, even for the smaller size, but Vincent assured us that if the small jumper doesn't fit, that we would not be charged. -No delivery Charge -Vincent was cool, calm and collected- pretty easy going and definitely professional. Now, for the not so good: -We asked for the jumper to arrive at 2, but they came around 11:30AM. I was out running errands, but had to cut them short and stop by home to pay them. - The cost for the jumper was $90. When I pulled out a $100, Vincent didn't have change, but still wanted payment. I was planning on giving a tip at the time of pickup, but insteadI was forced to give him a $10 tip right then and there. See, he did say that he'd bring me the change at pickup, but you'll see that part further down this list -The jumper was a little dirty. It was probably recently used, and the other gentleman did try a quick sweep after they set it up, but I think that asking that the jumper be delivered clean isn't too much. -I specifically asked Vincent if they would come at the time I asked, or if they would come early. He assured me that it would be the time I asked, which was 9, but we had a hard time deciding between 8:30 and 9. He even asked my husband right before leaving. He said," 8:30PM, right?" DANGER!!!!!! I hate to trash these guys however they were a DISASTER. They arrived 4 hrs late after multiple phone calls with the "we'll be there in 1 hr", "we'll be there in 40 min" Ridiculous! When they finally did show up 45 min into the party more than 4 hrs late from when we had arranged to have them come. They offered us a pittance of a discount. The guys who came and set up were very nice I'll give them that. Then to top it off the jumpy had holes in it and was mushy. At multiple points I thought it was going to collapse because it was not holding the air well which is unsafe. Those things are heavy. We had the 4 in 1 so the slide was still fun. But mostly the kids jumped on our trampoline. All in all they were beyond pathetic! I felt robbed. I have used them many times over the last few years so I don't know what happened. I think that someone else might be running the business now. Do your self a favor avoid the stress. there are many other jumpy companies out there and they all have pretty much the same stuff.
