the service is horrible. How are they going to force a tip but can't give the full party their change back? not to mention after asking for the check 3 times, I failed to receive it for over 20 minutes. After being forced to pay a tip even though of course the full party was going to pay, once we pay they claim "short on money". how does that happen when a fellow party member gave 80 dollars cash and many other 5 dollar bills and tens. we didn't even get our change back and even had the audacity to say that we didn't pay!! don't come here unless you want to be met with problems. Don't force a tip on every single bill, which was being payed separate, and can't even do the job correctly. Not to mention the manager couldnt even do anything about the situation at all. read more

Santa Fe is an awesome New Mexican Restaurant / Sports Bar in Clinton. The food is good. The vibe is better. I love the sports bar feel and the layout. Food: The salsa is really good. I actually like it the best out of all the Mexican restaurants in the area. The fajita taco salad was delicious as well. Ingredients were fresh and Santa Fe was generous with the meat. They also have other things such as po'boys, burgers, wings, cajun pasta, etc. Sangria was delish. Atmosphere: It's a sports bar. The layout is kind of cool. When you walk in, the bar is really the focal point in the center of the room with large TV. Great for socializing. You can't really see the tables because they're set up in little nooks, lending for an intimate feel if you prefer that. Service: Great. No issues, which is awesome for a spot that's brand spanking new. Not really any kinks to work out that I saw. *Be careful when sitting at the bar. Idk if it's because the vinyl is new or what, but the chips bowl keep getting stuck. So did the wine glass. It almost had a suction cup effect.. so sit a napkin under your drinks and salsa bowl, unless you want a mess. read more

Well... I'm from Arizona, the Mexican food Capitol of America. This food is bland and not authentic. The drinks are well priced and strong. There needs to be a chef at the restaurant and a waitress who speaks English. We ordered fundido. It came with Flavorless grpund meat. A touch of chorizo. Oh well... They were "out" of blue cheese dressing, so I didn't want my salad . Told her to cancel my order, and I would order something else. She didn't understand. She got the manager. We went through the whole thing again. He said you want something else? I said yes. He said what? I said I don't know this is my first time here. Time passed. I finally said I need a menu to pick out something else. Finally a menu arrived. I ordered baja style fish tacos. They came flavorless in a FLOUR TORTILLA not baja style they ALWAYS USE A CORN TORTILLA! I overlook this and take a bite. Flavorless grilled fish with no seasoning on cabbage and a slice of unseasoned avocado and no LIME CREMA which is REQUORES FOR BAJA STYLE! I took 2 bites, gave my husband a bite and I ordered the check so I could catch a drive thru on my way home. We should have left when we saw there was no one here. Lesson learned read more

I must say this restaurant is top notch. The quesabarrios taco is superb and filling. The ambiance and guest service is A1.If I'll return the answer is a resounding YES . The manager visited our table and was very conversational with us and that I enjoyed so much and his concern as to how I was enjoying our meal was authentic and caring. We were looking for somewhere new to eat and came across Santa Fe. We went in around 4pm. We had to different types of fajitas, mine was with pineapple and was served in a pineapple shell. It was absolutely delicious! My husband ordered Molcajete. It was absolutely yummy. Both of us could barely make a dent in what we ordered. Left overs galore. The chips and salsa were very good too. I wish they offered a mild salsa too. The cheese dip was yummy too. We recommend this place to eat. We will definitely be going back. I would have taken pictures of our food but I has forgotten my phone. Now for the bad part. Terrible service. But that won't stop us from returning. When we first arrived it was very loud at the bar; however, by the time we began to eat it had mellowed out. The ambiance was what one would expect in a Bar and Grill. This is the best restaurant in Clinton. I have eaten almost everything on the menu, and I have not been disappointed once. If you are not in the mood for Mexican- they have steaks, sandwiches, and country fried steak etc. They play really good music And there are as many TVs as any sports bar around.
