So the wand recently broke from my french door blind. These blinds are a decade old as least, so I worried it would be difficult to find a replacement part. I looked for blind repair on Yelp and found this shop. I brought the part into Manuel who found 2 or 3 possible replacements. He allowed my to take them home, give them a try and pay upon my return, who does that anymore? I called this company today based upon a referral from my best friend. The woman answering the phone was rude and unprofessional. I had to keep asking questions about their business and practices as she didn't want to explain anything on her own volition. After asking the turn around period for fixing one blind in the bedroom (one week), I told her that was unreasonable given the location. I know others rave about the owner and his service but the receptionist did not inspire any confidence. Sadly, I will be looking for another company. read more

This is a good business -- I have been going to them for perhaps the last five years for cleaning and repair of honeycomb shades. The quality of their work is excellent. The last blinds that I brought -- one was for cleaning, the other for restringing and repair. The repaired blind must be over 20 years old, and it looks and works like new. They had to innovate to repair it as parts are no longer available, and they did a great job. I recommend them! read more

I saw the small tent sign a few times as I drove by Santa Rosa Blinds on Piner Road, and decided to stop in and check out his services and prices. The owner is named Arnold, and I got good vibes form the moment I walked in the store. Arnold explained all his services what each would cost, and told me he would come out, take down my blinds and reinstall them for $60. That sold me right there, as I just don't have the time, the inclination, or a big enough car to haul the blinds back and forth. Anyway, the blinds came back almost like new, shiny and smooth. Arnold repaired two of my blinds where the pull strings had worn thin. His price for the repairs was very reasonable. We have a Hunter Douglas shade that is 7' wide and lifts either from the bottom or comes down from the top. Last time it died it was under warranty and Hunter Douglas told us that there was no one in Santa Rosa who could work on it and we had to ship it to them. Well this time when it died (less than two years later!) we searched and found Arnold Climaco at Santa Rosa Blinds. We took it to him and he easily diagnosed the problem. He ordered the necessary part and less than a week later our shade was ready for pick up. It cost us less than the cost of the packaging needed to send it back to Hunter Douglas. I read the nice reviews, and called for rates. He gave me a price on the phone, and when I got there, I was given higher rates. He said there was a miscommunication, not on my end, but did not give me the lower rate. It felt like a bait and switch. I had wooden drapes restrung, and mini blinds cleaned. The wood drapes were not cleaned, I didn't know I'd gave to pay separately for that. I was in a time crunch so gave him the job, but he lost a customer after that. read more

They did a really good job. Loved that for an extra $60 they take the blinds down, take them away bring them back looking like new and rehang them. This was done in one day. Wood blinds have to be hand cleaned and cost more but hand cleaning blinds is a lot,of work! Totally happy with the job Arnold did! read more

We just had the greatest experience with this business. We had some windows replaced and our expensive pleated blinds were now too big to insert in the windows so we wanted to have them cut down and the holes redrilled. First we couldn't find anyone to do the job in Marin county. Then we drove to Santa Rosa on the advice of a Marin blind store to meet with a business who said he could do the job. When we got there, the recommended place gave us such a high price per blind that we could have bought new blinds instead and he wasn't positive that it would be successful. So we walked across the parking lot and saw Santa Rosa Blinds. Arnold said "no problem", gave us a reasonable rate and had the job completed in just a couple of days. They look perfect now. Reasonable Rate. Arnold provided great service and same day repair. I was confused about the pricing when i spoke with him over the phone and I was not expecting to pay for parts for my blinds. He re corded my blinds with a thicker string free of charge and I paid to have it cleaned. Over the weekend our master bedroom blinds broke. (well...the string that raises and lowers the blinds broke). They were stuck in an upright position, slightly slanted downward and completely useless! I couldn't raise, lower, or close them in any way. I called several blind stores in my town knowing I'd give the job to the first one who could get here on the following Monday since I was heading out w/family soon. Got some call-backs from places and asked if any of them could come on Monday. Unfortunately not! sigh. So on Monday morning I looked again in the phone book for other blind companies....and this time around I found SR Blinds...how I missed them in the first place is beyond me. Anyway... I called them and left a message. Arnold, the manager, called me back within 10 minutes! I explained my sitch to him asking if there was any way he could make a house call and pick up the broken blinds and repair them & bring them back today. He said he could swing by my house at 11am, (yay...fast!)...assess the blinds to see what would be needed to fix them, and take them to his shop to fix and return them...yes the SAME day..(mid afternoon IF other parts were not needed). He arrived promptly at 11am....looked them over... all was "good" as far as not needing other parts, and said he'd fix them and bring them back later in the day. I then figured since he'd be taking them with him anyway, that maybe he could clean them too. So he gave me the price for both jobs, and took them with him. He/his shop repaired them, cleaned them and called me when they were ready asking if I was home for him to come by...(yes)....so he did. It took him like a minute(ish) to put them back up...tested them right then and there...worked great....looked sparkly clean! Awesome! Then I quickly got a quote on how much it would cost to have them take and clean all the rest of my blinds in my house and what the turn around time would be. Plus I asked him what was wrong with a set of blinds in my sunroom. He gave me a tip on how to make them work better and said they were not "broken". This guy is great! He's SO friendly...yet very professional, and I just felt very comfortable dealing with him. Our master bedroom blinds are like new now! I'm a happy camper! Thank you Arnold/Santa Rosa Blinds!
