Wanna know something funny? I'm known here for being the guy who called right before they closed, ordered margarita pizza and complaining because they ran out of an ingredient. Is it embarrassing? We tried a take out pizza and salad from the menu and both were very good. The restaurant has a cute ambiance and although it's small, has a New York vibe and the menu has lots of traditional favorites. Pizza is the main attraction, they have a variety of options including the Sea Shell Pizza with chopped clams or the Chicken Bruschetta Pizza, with homemade bruschetta. A gluten free pizza is also offered, but we went with the more traditional Italiano Pizza with generous toppings and a thin crust. If you're in the mood for pasta, soups, salads or sandwiches, you're in the right place, they have an amazing selection. Our to go order came out quickly, the staff is very efficient and they offer good service. Rosedale's been on Pine Ridge road for fourteen years and it's easy to see why. Always where we go in Naples for italian food BUT 3/21/26 was not good food output. 3 of our party of 4 said their food was not good. GF pizza was burned and crisp like a cracker. Veggie pizza the veggies were cold and visually unappealing just thrown on top of very little cheese. My chicken parm was very well done to dry with the cheese being cooked to a dry brown state. Had dinner here tonight with friends Cindy & George. It's been 2 years since here last. But we have dined here a lot between 2017-2023. The food is always excellent. Very generous portions and still very reasonable. What's especially great no matter the entree, their Red Sauce is alway phenomenal. It's what has always made their pizzas, pastas and other dishes excellent. I'm a foodie and have always taken pictures of food along with my reviews. But tonight I had forgotten a few, but I'll explain all of what we had. Before I go on let me first tell you about our server, SARA P. She was very professional, very personable, helpful with the menu and a great sense of humor. Thank you for putting up with us. We've enjoyed your company SARA. You were the best. So glad my sister told me about this place! The inside isn't anything special, it's literally a whole in the wall. A bit outdated but the food was GREAT! The beet salad was super flavorful wish they added a tiny bit less dressing but overall amazing! The mushroom pizza was delicious as well! Thin and the dough had the perfect chew to it, lots of toppings as well! The staff could improve a bit. Place was busy and it seemed they were way understaffed, our waiter looked like he had our entire section, and was a bit overwhelmed but still friendly! Would definitely recommend this place! Rosedale is a very cute restaurant with great service. I came for the NY style pizza and that is what we had. The pie was thin crust and served quickly. For my taste it could have been baked another minute as I found it a bit soggy and lacking in flavor I'll be back and order another pie but ask for well-done with extra cheese and some side seasonings. The pizza was lacking flavor and the bottom of the crust had to much flour dust. The prices have drastically increased and yet the toppings have not. Pro Tip You don't need to order the meatballs as there is more than enough meat in the sauce. The meatballs were almost baseball size and where awesome. This restaurant is an absolute delight. Not only do they take reservations, but we were seated at our reservation time and received exceptional service and enjoyed outstanding food. Aside from being delicious, the other best term my wife and I could think of to describe the food is "clean." I mean it just tasted authentic, natural, with fresh ingredients. And finally a delightful surprise when the bill came- I actually calculated the tip based on the pre-tax amount, which, if you pay attention to your bill is becoming incredibly rare in Naples (especially with restaurants using automated table size systems). You can even get unlimited banging and slamming of everything in the kitchen by the cooks. Also, if you speak Spanish, you can hear the cooks swear non stop and be completely inappropriate. Add in the beautiful touch of hip hop, yes, rap music at a Italian joint playing before someone realizes it and skips the song. Happened multiple times. A good pizza joint in Naples! We order ours for pickup to enjoy at home, but the atmosphere inside also looked nice, so may have to check it out sometime. We got two 'zas: the white pizza and a BYO with cheese and onions. I was very impressed with the overall pizza flavor - especially with the white one. There was a lot going on, but it all complemented each other really well so it wasn't too much. The BYO was also a good option; their red sauce was robust and the vegetables fresh. But as always, I like to try my pizza as cold leftovers the next day, and Rosedale's didn't hold up. It was just - meh. So I recommend eating it while it's piping hot! read more
