It made it extremely difficult to enjoy the movie. A movie theater should not smell this bad, especially considering what customers are paying for tickets and concessions. The cleanliness and whatever is causing that odor seriously need to be addressed. Unfortunately, this experience would make me think twice about coming back to this location.

I think you should check them out at least once before making up your mind. I've been to the Overtime Theater multiple times because a friend of mine used to perform there. I decided after a few times that I am not a huge fan of improv comedy shows. I went to the murder mystery show and it was just okay. I laughed a little bit,but it didn't change my mind on improv comedy as a whole. I'm not planning on going back anytime soon for that reason. Please make up your own mind and give them a chance. The acting is always spot on and the plays, which are written by local playwrights, run the gamut from comedy to drama. I love that the admission prices are low and they even have a performance where you can pay whatever you can afford. There is no excuse for not checking them out. My only issue is that I wish they would have more matinees. They generally only have one for each show and I can't always make that date. Wonderful talented group of people! Love them!

I didn't see a ramp to go in the center, though I may have missed it so I am not sure how handicap accessible it is. They have a strict no food or drinks allowed in the theater and this is where they lost me. As a diabetic who takes insulin I have my emergency carbs a juice box and water. I normally don't have a problem with this at any other establishment, I even went to a different venue to see an Opera and didn't have any issues when I explained that it was my emergency carbs due to being diabetic. Nope, not here. I couldn't bring my emergency carbs or water. Though this place is nice I will NOT be returning. Having to hide a snack to bring in for emergency carbs felt so wrong! I shouldn't have to do that. Maybe some training for staff members. We diabetics have it in case we need it, that doesn't mean we will be munching and snacking. Believe me we would love to not have to take insulin 4 times a day, and we would love to be able to go out and enjoy a show without feeling like we need to choose health, not being able to participate in mundane things, or feel like a rule breaker because we had to sneak in emergency carbs which we need if our sugar levels crash. In summary, it's a nice place but no thank you!

If you're in balcony it's stadium seating so you don't have to worry about seeing over the person in front of you. I recommend row D or higher in the balcony, otherwise your view may be slightly obstructed by a bar at the top of the glass barrier. Parking is also a breeze with free lots and street parking all around.

I didn't have any trouble getting the seat to recline unlike the last theater I visited. Four stars!

Unlimited popcorn, soda, and icee. Why would you go anywhere else? A funny side note, they have the least amount of previews and commercials before a screening. I mean HALF of Regal theatres! The service, I mean it's a theatre, is nowhere as slow as any others we have visited. I give the manger credit for that for sure! It was easy access checking in and our seats were located in the very last row mid section. We didn't know what to expect, but the seats were excellent! Great views. The performance was stellar! Cheeky humor, singing, and tap dancing which is not often seen these days anymore. Show was 2 1/2 hour with a 15 minute intermission. Restrooms were available and a bar. Pre show, the stage was set for public bar access, and then later the set up was incorporated into the stage when the show started. Cute idea! I would totally come back! The area directly in front was for dancing and it was so packed, I wish there was a bit more light so you didn't bump into people once it was full dark. My other pain point was the parking, since there was so many people and the closest parking lot is shared, we had to park around the corner and up a hill. The music, however, was excellent and we danced for almost the entire time. I'm looking forward to the next time going to the Sunken Gardens Theater.

Not a single comedian bombed, every one of them was funny. Only one got a bit political, and even that was a small portion of her routine. During the show, you ordered drinks via a QR code on your phone and delivered to your seats. However, the comedians should be informed of this, as there were a few times where comedians were scolding audience members for being on their phones during their performances, but they were simply trying to order. Also, Riot could probably improve their food menu with a toaster oven and some HEB frozen finger foods. Overall, it was a great night, but I wanted to be as honest as possible. The comedy was great, the venue was easy to find and get to. Very intimate setting. I intend on visiting regularly.

I really enjoyed the intimate nature of the venue ...they're are truly no bad views no matter where you're sitting. It enabled a lot of great audience interaction to happen. Davis was the headlining act and two other comics preceded him. All three were great! There's a cocktail lounge called The Library next door or you can also conveniently have drinks served directly to your table by ordering via a QR code. I really enjoyed the venue, service, and entertainment. We even had the opportunity to have a photo snapped at the end and meet the comics outside in the lobby area between the bar and the comedy club.
