This shop was fantastic! My buddy and I rented a couple full suspension mountain bikes to hit the nearby trails. The bikes were both in great well maintained shape and worked flawlessly. The staff was super helpful in getting us set up promptly when we arrived. At the end of the day, my buddy and I had a few beers to catch up on their picnic tables and they were friendly and cool with us probably overstaying our welcome. We showed up slightly after they opened in the morning and the staff was friendly and helpful in getting us set up on bikes. Sadly some of the bikes they had were quite beaten up (they mentioned that due to COVID they hadn't been able to order new ones as quickly as usual) and one of the ones we were given had a chain that was messed up which we only discovered after riding it about half a mile making it very difficult to ride back to the shop. They tried to fix it and sent us out again and it worked for a little while but then broke again and we had to take it back yet again. This time they were going to switch it out for another bike and since they didn't have any others of the type we rented they gave us a free upgrade to the nicer full-suspension bike which felt amazing to ride. read more

My husband and I took our Lectric bike to Santos for repair and they were fantastic! It only took 24 hours , actually less , and our bike was back home as good as new . Cassie is the lady that we spoke with on the phone and she was so nice and helpful it was unbelievable , my husband even got a chance to speak with their mechanic TJ and he was very very helpful explaining everything that was going to be done and even the price ! When we got to the bike shop it's amazing they have so many Bikes Plus they do rentals , and the bike trail is right across the street which is very convenient . One of the best parts was they have this adorable Portuguese Water Dog named Charlie who is just as friendly and as sweet as can be . Well , let me share the experience that I had at the Santos bike shop in Bellevue Florida. It was awesome. I went there one time to ride and being new in mountain bike riding, I knew I needed some help so I was introduced to Adam who coached me the other day and he was awesome. He was very patient and encouraging and got me over a little bit of fear of a few things and I'm looking forward to my next time to learn more. Thank you so much for making it so easy to rent an Electric Bike to ride the Santos Trail! The bike was PERFECT! The size was perfect, the seat was perfect and the whole experience from online booking to riding was perfect. I would do it again and again and tell my friends all about it. The Santos Trail is one of the most beautiful trails in Florida. We rode 31 miles from the shop to the end and back. We stopped several times for pictures of the trail, trees, flowers and of course selfies. We saw two horses with riders and were thrilled that we could both enjoy this forest without getting in each other's way. Your shop makes it so easy to rent and ride. I can't remember the young man's name that helped me ( he had long beautiful hair! ) but he made sure the height was right and that I was taken care of. He was super nice and easy to work with. There were 3 of us riding. My 2 friends had their bikes on the bike rack so I had to rent mine. We drove up from Largo, Fl. and it was worth the 2 hours drive to ride in that magnificent forest. Santos bike rental shop is in the perfect location for trail access. So convenient to rent a bike and go without much drama crossing. My mom and I rented the Electric Bikes for some assistance on the journey. I ride at home in Virginia, but my mom hadn't been on a bike in over 40 years. So it was a slow start. The front of office folks seemed a bit annoyed we hadn't placed reservations, but we had never seen the bikes and had no clue which to choose. So we had to go in to figure out sizing and such. Santos bike shop & staff are amazing!!! If you need a quick bike fix because you own your one or need to rent a bike they have what you need. When renting you can ride your rental to the trailhead (~1 mile) to meet up with others. Also if you have no idea what you are doing they will help get you started, but if you do know what you are doing they don't make you listen to a long lecture - they are just awesome & really k is their stuff. We will never rent anything here again! What was supposed to be a fun family outing (newbie mountain bikers) turned out to be a headache. The lady (I can only assume she's either the manager or part owner) was rude since the beginning. Well one of the guys from our group got hurt on the trails and it took us a long time to find them and make our way back to the store - mind you, we had to go back to the car to get a phone. Well, instead of being understanding of the situation, we got charged late fees and got more attitude from that lady. Needless, to say, I've had a much better experience from the bike shop across the street from the trailhead and they're cheaper. read more

1 Star Because they are way overpriced on rentals. Wanted a full suspension and they asked me for $900 deposit. So I looked for another bike shop and found greenway bicycle shop that's right across from Santos trailhead park. I must say greenway was amazing service and only charged me $70 for 4 hours on a full suspension bike that even had a drop post. Do not rent from Santos bike shop. Greenway is the way to go. read more

Do not rent a bike from here! They will give you a crappy bike then when it breaks on you. They make you pay for it. I rented a bike last weekend, I went out with my brothers to have fun and have a good day. We were riding on some roots and boulders descending in some rough terrain and I had the brakes locked up/ rear tire, And the frame snapped on me, where the rear axle locks in the frame. in an hour of riding. I tried explaining to them what happened, and asked for another bike to ride, because it's not my fault. But they blamed me for "breaking it", and I wasn't able to ride anymore, and I had to pay. Therefore, I learned my lesson to never rent a bike again or do business with these thieves ever again. read more

Drove up from Tampa and rented a mountain bike from the shop. I had an all around first class experience. The rental rate was reasonable the techs set the bike up very well and the trails were right out back of the shop. The trails were awesome! Unbelievable customer service. I'm a customer for life because of how well I was treated at this bike shop. In the midst of a bicycle trip from Key West - New Orleans that I wasn't properly prepared for, I ran into some trouble coming into Ocala. I got my bike to this shop and then took care of it....and more. I got a flat tire 5 miles after leaving this shop and, after a physically/mentally exhausting past 36 hours I just didn't have it in me to change it and keep biking to Gainesville. I called the shop and spoke to all-star mechanic Chiggy. He lives in Gainesville and after his shift was over he picked me up and drove me to where I was staying in Gainesville. After we got there, he even changed the flat tire I had. It was so far above and beyond and he did it as if it was a casual thing. If you find yourself anywhere in the vicinity of Ocala, Florida, this is a business that is more than worthy of your hard-earned cash. read more

Yesterday my 1st visit, Chris explained: their Santos May Hump eve ride series, bike areas and showed a few seconds which did not fit. Filled my friend's tires and left. However, the used Schwinn I bought last night @Del Webb community will be serviced by them as 3 ranges of tune ups are offered. I am already a loyal customer. About two months ago I had gone to this bike shop confident that they would fix my bike properly and possibly at a decent price since I had gone for service to this bike shop before and in that time I was pleased with the service. But unfortunately the second time I had gone the story wasn't the same. I took my bike for a number of issues but the most important one was that my front suspension was leaking and the lock out button was not working properly. Since my bike has a lefty suspension, cannondale fans know what I'm talking about, well this was something that I just had to trust them to be able to fix. So about two days later the mecanic calls me and says that their is another issue with the suspension and that they had send it to cannondale factory to fix it. To make a long story short. I told the mecanic that if this issue was covered by cannondale factory warrantee then yes he could send it but if it wasn't covered then the answer would be no I would have to deal with it some other way since I did not have the money for this or any type of repair. So he sends the fork and to my knowledge the repair would be covered, but to my surprise he calls me a few days later and says that the repair would cost just under $400.00 dollars. I almost went crazy, when I spoke to the mecanic he said that we had never came to that agreement and basically that the job was already done. Unfortunately I had to pay to get my bike back. read more
