Super clean and the aesthetic I could spend hours here and work. The staff were really nice. They had good options for food and for drinks outside of coffee! Free water, which I love because it's self serve. Only thing I would change is the energy shot. It would amazing if they served an energy shot actually. I was expecting like a mini juice shot packed with vitamins and suppl

Greeted when we walk in and they alleyways help me make up my mind. Even on simple days like a caramel latte. I love the lighting and seating too it's such a vibe in there!

As a tea drinker, impressed by a basil lavender herbal iced tea. They also have Fresca, smoothies for the non coffee drinkers. Cool lounge area. Great find near the ball fields.

Wow. When I used to live in that area I didn't really go to coffee shops so I hadn't been there but maybe once. Well today I went to do some laptop work projects and this was a mindblower. The server was about a 5 star. She was super wonderful and even helped me pick a unique drink. Then the one creating the drink was super awesome too and I saw him doing a lot of cleaning and organizing when he had time. This was a wonderful vibe and very comfortable and clean. Absolutely a great place to sit and chill and work and even to sit and hang with friends or coworkers or customers.

I'm always in this shopping center so Santos is a frequent stop of mine. I usually get a sugar free vanilla latte, hot or iced depending on the mood. It can get pretty busy at any point in the day, I haven't been able to gauge a pattern in crowd levels. They have breakfast and lunch options and a case of homemade pastries/deserts. The inside is always clean and cozy, it's a great place to study. I wish they had more sugar free syrup options but I'm still happy with my usual order.

What an amazing coffee shop! Two days in a row we enjoyed the ambiance and of course the coffee. The Vanilla Coconut Latte was cozy and delicious. The orange loaf is a must- make sure to get it warmed to perfection! If in Hoover, be sure to stop by. You won't be disappointed.

I come here frequently when I want both outside and inside options to have a good cold brew while I do some writing. Today they were out of cold brew much to my dismay and it was only 12:30pm. No matter as I was helped by Dorien who suggested I do a pour over. He even put in an extra shot of expresso after I admitted that the ice made it a little watered down (as I like the strength of the cold brew). It was some of the best customer service I've had in weeks. Plus his personality was wonderful and he was knowledgeable about the coffee processes. With his help I was able to get the feeling of cold brew and almost the taste too! Quite pleased.

Elderberry Tea

Santos Coffee in Hoover is renowned for its inviting atmosphere and exceptional beverage offerings. Among their diverse menu, the elderberry tea stands out as my favorite. The café itself is described as "adorable and very welcoming," with a relaxing atmosphere and friendly staff. This ambiance enhances the overall experience, making it an ideal spot to enjoy a warm cup of elderberry tea. Elderberry tea is not only delicious but also offers numerous health benefits. In summary, Santos Coffee provides a delightful setting to enjoy their highly praised elderberry tea, complemented by a welcoming environment and attentive service

Granted it was 30 minutes before closing, the staff looked like they were already checked out. No greeting, nor any gesture to even make it to the register - just sipping their drink, frowning, washing it down the sink and finally dragging their heel (literally) themselves to me. Also, I thought this place was a roastery. Twice I have been here and decaf isn't available by the bag. So I take my business to O'Henrys. However! Trying to give them the COVID buffer... the basil lavender latte is very unique - a bit weak on the lavender but fresh basil in coffee was new for me. I will just add that the foam was a bit weak and the microfoam I would expect at such an establishment was non-existent. In sum, I am willing to give this another go but third time better be good or it's my last trip ever. There are outstanding roasteries nearby that will have both the service and the goods I am looking for.

It was fine. As with most coffee shops no unsweet nondairy creamer. People were nice. Very comfortable shop.

The food is wonderful. The service is good for the number of people on a Sunday mid-morning. The ambiance is quite like no other.

The cappuccino was stronger than what I usually go for, but smooth, not bitter at all. The ambiance is really nice, mostly tables and chairs with one cozy area that has softer seating. This was the first location of Baba Java and has since expanded through the city. Ran my Omani entrepreneurs, this little coffee shop became quite popular over the years. The staff working here are mostly teenagers or college students, who are very attentive and professional despite their young age. The owner clearly picked out incredible folks to be here who make Baba Java feel both welcoming and well kept. The interior of the space is fairly basic coffee shop design, but admittedly, a little bit dated in 2026 and lacks the unique vibe of some other independent coffee shops. Window views facing the strip mall parking lot don't create much of an ambiance either. With that said, design is not the main thing to come here for. The coffee is excellent and priced very reasonably, offering a great value for an establishment of this sort. There is easy to access WiFi and an overall feeling of being welcomed. A solid little coffee shop that allows customers to support some local business owners instead of a big chain.

When you get to the light at the corner of 31 and Pelham Park Blvd, just look to the right and you'll see a quaint little white building. Behind it is the Pelham Public Library which looms over Bullet and to the other side of Bullet is Edgars Bakery. As mentioned BC has been there about a year now. The other BC is on 280 and there's one more in Fairhope. All are owned by the same individual who also owns their sister store the Red Mountain Expresso. BC is not technically another "pop up" coffee place because this is actually a brick and concrete building albeit it's just big enough to be a full service drive thru, but it doesn't have any seating inside or out. Just a drive thru. The drive-thru is planned nicely so it's easy to get to the order window then around to the pickup/pay window. Their menu options long and diverse but also typical of any coffee place. They also serve fresh daily sausage biscuits and pimento cheese biscuits. They have specialties like the Turtle latte, Classics like cold brew, blended drinks like frappes and non coffee drinks like iced teas and chai. I was lucky today because they are in middle of running a special called Frappy Hour good for another week. From 3-6pm all medium frappes are $2! I tried the Java Chip and Cookie & Cream. She asked me if I wanted the "coffee" or "milk" based. The coffee is the traditional way but the milk would be more like a milkshake. I chose coffee. I didn't get whipped cream which was offered. I only had to wait a couple minutes after paying. She even gave me a frequent visitor card. Get 10 drinks, get the 11th free! The cookies and cream was good, but the java chip was even better. Nicely blended, cool and refreshing on this warm afternoon. Yom Yom Yom Yom. It hit the spot! Welcome to Pelham BC!

The consistency was creamier than I would've liked other iced coffees. I've had are more liquidy. It was good. It wasn't the best. I probably will be back to try the other different flavors. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Besides the drive-through you can also walk up and get coffee. This is right in front of the Pelham library which is nice because before or after you go the library can get you a little treat.

In addition to this, the staff is friendly and pretty flexible on accommodations. I visited on a Wednesday morning, and there were about 7 other tables filled. In the past, when I went on a weekend, I usually had to wait around 15-20 minutes for a table, so if you are able to, I recommend visiting on a weekday. Today I got the vegan sausage, eggs, and pancake combination. It came with two eggs, two pieces of sausage, and three pancakes, which was plenty of food. I ended up bringing home my leftover pancakes, and they heated up quite nicely in the microwave when I ate them later. They also provide ramekins for different sauces and syrups if you want to bring any home, which was very nice. Our server was very kind and proactive at refilling water, checking on us, and getting the check to us quickly, especially because he knew that we had to leave relatively quickly. I also love the ambiance of The Original Pancake House. The seating, artwork, and general atmosphere provide a sense of hominess and southern charm. The seating can be a bit cramped, and I think it's better to have party sizes less than eight, otherwise you may get turned away or have to sit at separate tables. Overall, I highly recommend The Original Pancake House, especially if you are taking someone who has never been to Birmingham before; it's a classic for a reason!
