Stopped here for espresso and a coffee. The employees were very friendly and the space is large with a lot of seating. It looks like this building used to be a Pizza Hut or China Buffet and they repurposed it. Big outdoor seating, plenty of parking. I ordered a hot mint latte with oat milk and my husband ordered a decaf Cortado. The coffee is my mint latte is mild, tasted a little watered down. Well executed repurposing of what looks like an old DQ or Wendy's. Light and airy interior is very welcoming. The staff was young but friendly and helpful. Coffee lattes were fine. The food offered did not include anything clean or gluten free but we were pleased to see they offered hardboiled eggs. We weren't as impressed when it turned out they were the packaged kind we could have gotten at Love's for half the price. We would return, but without any food we can have we would be limited to grabbing a cup of coffee. read more

So I'm slowly getting back around to my coffee shop tours. Up next, Santos coffee! I really like this location that's in the former Wendy's. They have really taken this space and converted it into a nice / cozy atmosphere. Grab your drink and opt to sit at the bar, tables or chill out on the sofas! Of course, for my drink I got a Cortado. I love those! I enjoyed my drink but it was rather on the smaller side. Like EXTRA small!! Took one sip and it was gone! Parking isn't an issue at all . There's a drive thru. Tesla charging station, oh and outdoor seating too!! This was my first visit to Santos and I'm glad I paid them a visit. read more

Coffee and service was ok. Not good or great. The Tesla drivers filled the room as they all charge next door. They pushed through a child and his mom to talk over the room about their cars. This made the peaceful vibe of a coffeehouse impossible. This was the second time I came here and both experiences were marred by their presence. I tried to ignore this, but could barely hear my own thoughts. This place is not a cozy or even comfortable stop. read more

I am not one that gives very bad reviews but this warranted. Around 10:15 on a Friday I was headed to Huntsville and wanted a coffee for the drive. I wanted to see what all they had so I went inside. I stood at the counter no less than three minutes and not one person showed up to greet me and take my order. I could hear at least three voices in the back but there were no customers in the room or at the drive thru. I left and won't be back. Oh, my coffee? A few places down is a McDonalds, yes the Golden Arches and there I got fast service and a decent latte and an egg McMuffin. read more

When I asked why it was $10 the person said, "well oat milk is more expensive" yes, of course it is BUT IT ISNT $4 more expensive The prices went up and it's no longer worth the convince of living 2 minutes away . read more

Really cute coffee shop right next to the Tesla charger, so extremely convenient for a bathroom, food charge stop. Food was very good, picked up anHamband swiss. Delicious coffee and crêpes, plus baked pastries! The menu is breakfast and lunch with lots of healthy choices. An attractive (clean and nicely upholstered) seating area and two(!) separate (clean) handicapped accessible restrooms. Soft jazz playing at a moderate volume and free WiFi... what else do you need? Yes, it has a drive-thru too. It's steps, maybe 50' from the Tesla Supercharger. No worrying about idle fees; you can plug in, charge and unplug without moving your car. You can see from your chair how busy it is, allowing you to return to your meal, and enjoy finishing it if it's not busy. This really matters when the weather is awful. It's worth a small detour to avoid the nasty experience of the downtown Birmingham supercharger off I-20/I-59 where you have to pay to park in order to charge. It does close at 6PM, so no restroom access, but maybe the gas station across the highway can accommodate you. This is the place to stop before or after a trip to the airport. read more

I placed my online order then drove to Santos to pick it up. While in route, I received a text that my order was ready. I went through the drive thru to pick it up but was told at the speaker that I had to come inside to pick up my online order??? Really? After waiting in line at the drive thru, I went inside to pick it up then had to wait in the drive thru line again just to leave the premises (one way in, one way out). This is the only food establishment in Gardendale that has a drive thru but you have to go inside to pick up your "ready" online order. This is an inconvenience, not customer service oriented, and not worth my wait and time. The food and drinks were good though. read more
