Many times I've passed this place and wondered what it would be like. If you're reading this thinking about going. DO. Go inside and get ready to experience the best BEST tamales you've had. I would show pictures. I mean to take pictures but those things keeps disappearing. I look down and it's just gone. I tell myself every time I go there. I need to take some pictures. I need to take some pictures. Then boom. GONE. FOOD IS GONE!!! Thank you Santos for having the best tamales, lengua tacos and chicharron tacos and let's not forget the habanero salsa. Just take all my money. See y'all tomorrow.

OMG.... They didn't want to serve me! I pass by this place 10 times weekly and decided to stop in. I was not greeted and the lady acted as if I was getting on her last nerve. I asked for 2 grilled chicken tacos and was told I had to purchase a combo, she also kept saying they tacos were authentic ( sooooooo, I eat at mexican restaurants alllllllll the time lady- but I was still nice, cause Im NICE), I continued to ask why I had to purchase a combo???? I don't want beans and rice. A man was peeking from the back and did not stop this lady from basically turning away a potential long-term customer, again, I drive this way to and from work. Finally I threw in the towel and said " thats ok" it was like music to her ears, she picked her towel back up and started to clean the plastic plants in the seating area. Not to mention they had a little kid behind the counter area. Sorry Santo, no return visits and I will tell everyone I know how lousy your service is!

12" Burrito Al Pastor, Rice, and Beans with Drink and Verde Salsa

You know you have reached the pinnacle of Mexican cuisine when you arrive at Santos! This is unlike any other on the Southside as when you walk in the door, the majority of the patrons are from the home country. You don't see that at the other "Americanized" Mexican locations in Henry County. I ordered the 12" Burrito Al Pastor with rice and beans and the verde sauce... it did not disappoint. With authentic drinks made with Sugar Cane to flavored drinks, you get the feel of South of the Border (except the B98.5 music playing Michael Jackson). Don't be scared of the gas station entrance because the flavor and selection of cuisine makes up for the location. It is a must have once in your life if you are a food connaisseur.

Menu and prices

* Basing this solely on my tamales experience * When I need a good Mexican tamales fix, I like stopping here. The tamales are always flavorful and spicy just like I like em. The pork and red sauce ones are just a bit spicier than the chicken and green sauce ones. I like to get extra sauce on the side even though the sauce is already in the tamales bc they tend to be a little dry. They are heavy portions, not your average small flat tamal. They're very thick and about the size of my cell phone. That said, however, they are very doughy but still have a good amount of meat. Prices keep going up. This is the only authentic Mexican spot in the area though, aside from the Morena Restaurant/Carnicería (Mexican meat/grocery shop on Willow Ln). Too bad THEY don't have tamales. I surely don't mind supporting local businesses and they've clearly been hurt by the pandemic but damn, $5 for a tamal?

Authentic. Delicious. Period. It tastes like a homemade meal because it literally is! They make everything from scratch.

Man what a find! I'm seriously going to eat lunch here for probably the next month straight. It's amazing. Fresh, spicy and tasty. One of those places I just don't want to share but I will. This place is connected to a gas station. It's small with tables and chairs. There is television which is perfect for the World Cup taking place right now. Service is at the counter and they bring you your plates with silverware so don't get the to go silverware that's out. With your meal they serve two salsas, green and red. Both spicy but not too much. They have a soda fountain machine but also some soda bottles and topochicos in the back. When you finish your meal make sure to clean your plates off at the trash can. They'll come get them off the table for you afterward.

The chicken tamales here are delicious! I have also tried the beef nachos here before and it's perfectly seasoned with a large portion. This place is conveniently tucked beside a gas station. Since it is an express place, the wait is never too long for your food to be done. It took about 6 minutes for the tamales to be ready. They usually only have two or three workers. There are several tables available in the seating area if you are dining there, but I've usually taken my food to-go. I like that the menu is big and easy to read. My only complaint is that there's not enough chicken in the tamale. They do give you some salsa verde for it though if you take it to-go. The tamale is a decent size for the price. I paid about $8 for two tamales.

The food is delicious and made to order. I can only complain about the beans, which taste like can beans and the rice that lacks seasoning.

Ms. Elizabeth makes authentic Mexican. Her tacos and burritos are very good. Her menu contains many authentic offerings as well.

Found this place using Yelp while traveling back to Atlanta. It sits off an access road to 75 in…read moreMcDonough. Traffic was really heavy so figured taking a pit stop made sense. It seemed like a fairly normal Mexican place when I walked in. Nothing stood out to me. I headed to the bar to grab some food. The bartender was nice, although she mostly spoke Spanish to her co-workers coming up to the bar. I started off with a medium sized margarita and they brought chips and salsa over. The margarita was just ok (semi strong, lacking on flavor) and the salsa was surprisingly bland. No kick, no flavor. Big bummer. I ordered the street tacos with fish and asked for no charro beans (only eating fish currently). It came out as requested except they did include the charro beans. The tacos were good, no complaints there and the salsa verde was a tad spicier than my salsa. Overall, it was an ok stop. If you're looking for average, this place will fit your need there. Also, be careful walking to the front from the bar, big step down that seemed like two steps should be there.

Ordered a simple steak and cheese only quesadilla and of course everything on it. They took it back…read moreand what they brought out was a quesadilla with pork. Not even steak. We also ordered a fajita for two and were charged for the tres amigos. That comes with shrimp. I finally asked for the manager and the waitress comes back and said she took off 1.00 and 1/2 for the quesadilla. She couldn't even come out and deal with it herself. What a craphole.
