My daughter has a tree nut allergy, so before ordering she asked the host whether the fries or chips contained tree nuts. The host said, "I have no idea." When she asked the waitress, she received the same response. My daughter then asked if the waitress could please check, and was told, "It shouldn't, but I can't say for sure." No one made any effort to find out or help her. Because of this, my daughter ended up sitting there drinking tea and not eating, out of fear for her safety. This was extremely frustrating and concerning. When someone has a food allergy, their health--and potentially their life--depends on accurate information. Staff should be trained to handle allergy questions seriously and know how to verify ingredients instead of guessing or dismissing concerns. read more

The food and drinks were decent, but the service left a lot to be desired. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We chose to sit outside, but a bee repeatedly flew into our food and drinks.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] After moving tables once, the manager came out and tried to shoo the bee away. I politely asked if I could get a new drink since the bee had landed inside mine. The manager responded curtly with, "Umm, alcohol is final sale," even though our drinks weren't alcoholic. My server put in the wrong order and instead of her taking accountability and correcting it. She told me that I could purchase another meal/drink and pay for two. The manager told me that it was my fault because I was not specific about my order, I've been coming to the same location for three years on a weekly basis. My order has been the same. Their was a mistake made by the server. I must say, I was in complete shock at the terrible customer service I received, and the way they handled it. The manager's tone was aggressive to the point where he was trying to scold me instead of correcting his server, and taking accountability.He stated he could give me what I wanted, but I needed to pay for that along with the incorrect order that I hadn't touched. I declined the offer. I will Never go back, and I will no longer refer anyone to that restaurant. My Taxes in Henry County are some of the highest in GA. I shouldn't be treated like this 10mins from My house. Take that Trash Service Somewhere else. We will be taking our Business to Black Rose Cafe in Locust Grove! Hidden off the road you may miss it if you are not familiar with the place. I am still trying to understand the rating this place has. I ended up getting a top end margarita which was not Impressive at all - no fresh lime, just a mix, really??? For dinner I ended up getting the burrito combination (1 chicken and 1 beef) and determined that if you love a salt lick then you would have enjoyed it otherwise, it was not digestible. Rice and beans that came with the meal had to be sitting for who knows how long and certainly reheated. The salsa that came with the comp chips was a watered down version of generic salsa. The only thing worth while was the staff and their attentive nature. They tried to fix everything that failed and for that I recognize them. Maybe new ownership, chef, menu items would help them??? There are a lot of Mex / Tex-Mex places in GA that are more worth visiting. read more

Amazing portion of food, great customer service. My friend who lives in Atlanta invited us here. I reside in Sarasota Fl. I asked my friend to give me suggestions of places to dine in GA. I stopped here one night on my way home from Northwest Georgia. It was late and I hadn't eaten since breakfast. I felt badly because I was walking in approx 15 mins before the listed closing time. The Hostess asked the manager if it was ok to seat me and he unhesitatingly said Yes. I assured my server that I would be as quick as possible. She said not to rush as there were still other customers and they would be there for a while. I received the usual offering of chips and home made salsa. Both were very good. The chips were warm and the salsa had just the right amount of kick to it. While it wasn't specifically on the menu, I asked if I could get chicken enchiladas with green tomatillo sauce. She said no problem. It came out on a large plate filled with rice and refried beans. Everything was very good. I'm not going to say that it was the best I ever had, but it was very good. The service was fantastic and I liked the family owned feel of the place. They offer a number of the usual Mexican beers in addition to a few standard domestic options. You give feedback about your food and the waitress, host, and manager attempt to blame you saying "you should have said something". When you explain to the manager you did and Im telling you about my experience , it still somehow is not their fault or concern. Zero customer service skills and the food is terrible! What they fail to realize is, there are Mexican restaurants within a mile or more that appreciate their customers and serve better food! Went here for dinner last night and waited like 5 minutes before being seated. Really small bathroom. Be quick while washing your hands because it's right next to the door and I know if you are not paying attention it's your face in that door. Dinner was good. The plate was really hot which makes me think the food was already prepared and sitting under heat, I could be wrong. But the food came out wicked fast. We were traveling from Florida north to the Midwest. We stopped in Locust Grove, Ga for an overnight stay. We stayed at a Holiday Inn Express who suggested this restaurant for dinner. They were 100% accurate as the place to go. This restaurant was amazing, decorated is a very nice Mexican decor , the service was very good, fast and efficient. The food, I can't say enough good things about the food, it was excellent just as the girl at the hotel said it would be. Very good Hawaiian Chicken Special with bacon and pineapple. Great dish if you ever see it I would recommend it. If you do order it get their habanero sauce and put it on the chicken. It gave it a bit of heat and added to the flavor. It was extremely good without it as well. The salsa served with the chips was quite tasty. The tortilla soup was good. Giving it 4 because it wasn't very busy but the service was slow, the bartender was very slow to acknowledge us, and the speed of service didn't improve over the course of the dinner. AMAZING customer service! This place is very close to the Tanger Outlets in locust grove so this was a great spot to stop for dinner after shopping. We were a party of 7 and a baby and as soon as we walked in, the hostess was able to seat us right away. The salsa that they serve with the chips is so tasty! Our sever came over and was so attentive, made great conversation and was super personable. I didn't catch his name as I stepped away to wash my hands when he initially walked up. Our drinks came out right away and he took our food order and he was awesome at ensuring refills were brought out when he saw an empty or near empty glass. Being from California the flavors of some of our favorite foods here in Georgia just isn't the same. We did not enjoy our food, ordered what we called a wet chicken burrito and an enchilada plate, food was very bland and rice was greasy for some reason. Only the manager could make me a margarita made with patron i was told and he had just left for the day! It was like 2:00 on a Saturday! My family, my friends, we all just love this place. It's our go-to place for just about any day or occasion. The service is fast and friendly. The food is always delicious and always consistent. They keep the place clean. Our favorite things to order are the fajitas, chicken tortilla soup, steak nachos, and the taco salads. Everything is delicious. If there were anything negative I could possibly say it's that I wish they'd re-pave their entire parking lot, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the food. If I could give this place less than one star, I would. The ONLY positive thing I can say is that we were seated quickly. That being said, our party of two was seated under a broken air conditioner next to the door leading to the patio at a table for six, even though there were other smaller tables in cooler sections of the restaurant, even in the same section as we were seated. We sat for as long as we could and finally asked to move to a different table, which we were allowed to do. Our drinks arrived. A water and sangria for me and a pina colada for my husband. Every drink was gross - even the water was bad! My sangria was THICK (Sangria is normally transparent) and tasted like cranberry juice mixed with grape juice that had gone bad. My husband's pina colada tasted like milk with ice and the water tasted like it absorbed odors from the garbage. We sent all of the drinks back. Our order arrived. My husband ordered a bean burrito and received a bean burrito. I ordered the combo #18 - two tacos and a burrito. All of the meat was so salty, we could only take a single bite. We immediately asked for the check and it took our server over 15 minutes to bring it to us. During this time we watched the person bussing the tables just knock the food off and then wipe only the portion that had food on it, instead of the entire table, let alone any of the chairs or surrounding area. He left the food on the floor and walked away. Gross! When our server finally came back with our check, we explained that my husband received a different dish than what he ordered and that both of our dishes were far too salty to eat. Her response was "Oh" and she stated into space. No offer to correct it, no offer to speak to the manager. Nothing. I completely regret that we ever stepped foot in this restaurant. Poor service, poor food and drinks and less-than-sanitary practices. read more

I got the special which was steak quesadilla over nacho cheese dip had chicken and shrimp on top with rice & sour cream.
