I had a issue with my chicken the Manager on site on 2/25/23 was very unprofessional. Please beware of the customer service here. He didn't listen to my concerns at all.the chicken had a funny taste to it. I couldn't eat it and I ordered a different meal andbthe Manager was unprofessional about it.

Stopped here for an early lunch. Service was great and food was okay. I would say this is more of a Tex mex over mex restaurant though, which was disappointing. I ordered the street tacos which were okay but they didn't have any cojita cheese and the tortillas weren't fresh. Besides that good experience

A nice quaint Mexican restaurant. The staff is always friendly and they have great customer service.. always attentive. The food is always delicious. They have such a wide variety of entrees. I ordered Pollo Con Papas which is Chicken topped with veggies and a side of rice and potatoes. The food is seasoned perfect always. If you're ever in the McDonough area stop by and give them a try. The drinks are on point as well.

Found this place using Yelp while traveling back to Atlanta. It sits off an access road to 75 in McDonough. Traffic was really heavy so figured taking a pit stop made sense. It seemed like a fairly normal Mexican place when I walked in. Nothing stood out to me. I headed to the bar to grab some food. The bartender was nice, although she mostly spoke Spanish to her co-workers coming up to the bar. I started off with a medium sized margarita and they brought chips and salsa over. The margarita was just ok (semi strong, lacking on flavor) and the salsa was surprisingly bland. No kick, no flavor. Big bummer. I ordered the street tacos with fish and asked for no charro beans (only eating fish currently). It came out as requested except they did include the charro beans. The tacos were good, no complaints there and the salsa verde was a tad spicier than my salsa. Overall, it was an ok stop. If you're looking for average, this place will fit your need there. Also, be careful walking to the front from the bar, big step down that seemed like two steps should be there.

I had an amazing time at Mesquite last weekend. Our server Alejandro was great and the good was well priced and full of flavor. Alejandro was quick, friendly, and did a good job dealing with our large group full of picky eaters. The margarita was great and well priced. Everything we good and they give you a lot of food. I would definitely recommend others to stop by.

A nice quaint Mexican restaurant. The staff is always friendly and punctual. The food is always delicious. They have such a wide variety of entrees and a la carts. I ordered a shrimp burrito this go round with rice and refried beans. The food is seasoned perfect always. If you're ever in the McDonough area stop by and give them a try.

It's my birthday and since I had to vote, get my emissions, renew the registration on my cars, renew my license, and then get me something to eat I stopped by Mesquite Bar & Grill and I was very pleased. My server was very accommodating and courteous. My food was mostly delicious. I tend to like my black beans more in the refried side but they were still good. My rice was cold but for the most part I was pleased. I would come back.

Big chip basket. Nice and fresh.

Man. I don't even know where to start. Management has changed. I spoke with him on the phone this afternoon after my experience. No apology was given, just a bunch of irrational explanations of the reasons why they charge for to go items. I called in an order for myself and a coworker. When I arrived the food was already packaged and on the counter already. I was 5 minutes early so I thought this either a good thing or a bad thing. When I went to hand the woman my card to pay I also asked for one more salsa. She said it would be extra. "Why? I asked. It's free if I stay and dine. Then she proceeds to tell me that if I separate my orders, meaning swipe my card twice, then she can give me an extra salsa. Not only cannot I not even conceive to understand the correlation between the two I explained to her that, that it only hurts them because they pay credit card service fees to even be able to accept the payments. She mumbled some more about it and I said forget it just swipe my card as one order. When I get back to the office, which is only 5 minutes away we open our boxes and the food is ice cold and stiff. Like it's been sitting out and prepared for over well over 30-35 minutes. I couldn't help but call and ask to speak to the manager. He said not only will they charge for to go salsa with a to go order but now (hence under new management) they will charge you if you have dined in the building!!!! I said so, if I just ate a full meal at a table, paid and am leaving but I stop and ask for a salsa or a to go cup will you bring me a new check for .25 for that too? YES. He says. Unbelievable. There are a million Mexican Restaurants to choose over this one. I will not be returning here ever again.

Atlanta is coming off spring break so maybe people are prepping for back to school/work next week. Our server (Darlene) was super kind and customer service friendly. She took the time to explain the best way to order so we maximized our options on side items. She checked on us a few times and brought extra lemon and butter and bind as needed. I had a Long Island ice tea. I had read the reviews prior to coming and expected a drink much stronger than what I received. My dining buddy ordered a "sneaky link" which is basically a blue mfer. She didn't think her was strong either. She order two pound of crawfish and a half pound of shrimp her sides were corn, potatoes and broccoli. I ordered a pound of crab legs and my sides were the same. ($105) The potatoes were small boiler potatoes. You could eat one potato in a full bite so if you like the potatoes, don't substitute them as they are tiny. The corn and broccoli were delicious. We both got medium spicy and I could have gotten mild. I didn't think it was overly spicy but if my nose starts running while eating a seafood bag I'm not trying to wipe my nose and eat. Ewww The place had a nice mellow R&B playlist going but again, I was here at 130ish on a Sunday afternoon. We had a 15% off coupon. The manager has to add the discount after the check is printed, so if you have the coupon be sure to make sure it's applied.

But what you do get is good food and service. Everyone seemed to enjoy working there, the staff was super nice as was what I assume to be the owner/manager who chatted with us for a bit. Though in an older building, we used to frequent this specific spot back in the day when it was a pizza shop, it's super clean, the restaurant and restroom(s). (I assume the men's is as well kept as the women's.) we were there mid Thursday afternoon and they had quite a few customers! We ordered a few rounds of raw oysters, teriyaki chicken tenders with fries, peel-n-eat shrimp, and buffalo shrimp, so quite a variety and everything tasted great! It's set up like a bar scene, though they only serve beer and wine which I can only assume has to do with the ginormous expense for a full bar liquor license and stock price threshold. The menu leans more into bar food plus some delicious extras such as raw oysters. They also have a board up displaying live music dates and such. I love these types of places, small businesses, especially ones that show so much enthusiasm will always hold a special place in my heart over corporate chains any day in spite of the cost of entry. If I had one recommendation, it would be to update the ketchup bottles. The labels either need to go or just replace the bottles altogether. Otherwise, everything was great!
