Jessica is an absolute SKIN WIZARD. I went to Sapien for the first time for a Hydrafacial Deluxe (the extended time is worth it, and everything is included unlike other places...) in May 2021. Prior to Jessica's expert advice, I was using the Anti-Aging Skinceuticals set (ce ferulic, resveratrol be & age interrupter) consistently for 2 months morning and night and figured it was finally time to come in now that I proved to myself I can commit to a skincare routine. Honestly, I had legit no idea what I was doing now that I look back. Jessica realized that my skin was on the acne prone side and that I was in desperate need of hydration, more physical & chemical exfoliation, serums and add retinol in the mix. Oh. And do NOT forget the much needed SPF :) She expertly picked out each product and sent me detailed instructions post facial of what to put on my face for my am and pm skincare. As my skin started adjusting to its new best friends, Jessica was available to answer any questions I had and suggest different products to add or remove from my routine. Sapien is not a place where you have your booked service, and go on your merry way never to hear from your aesthetician again. They follow up and ensure that you are leveraging the BEST products possible for your specific skincare needs. After 1 month of following Jessica's recommendations (plus cutting out alcohol and eating clean), my results were absolutely wild. I have never been "that girl" that has the JLO glow sans makeup...but now I am! And the best part? I don't wear foundation anymore...only sunscreen, spf blush (color science) and mineral power. My only regret is that I didn't go to this gem of an establishment sooner. 1000% recommend this place, tell all the girls. I had a really bad experience with Stephanie. I'm still shocked about the whole experience and how poorly treated I was. I recently moved to the eastside of Seattle and am looking for a new place to get my skincare treatments. I booked a hydro facial at sapien seeing they had good reviews. I was going on a trip a few days later and wanted to have fresh skin for my vacation. I booked a 2:15 appointment, expecting the facial to take around an hour. I had to leave at 3:20 to go to work. Let me preface by saying I was 10 minutes late to my appointment. If they had to turn me away for being late I would have understood, but they took me and I proceeded to my appointment. About 25 minutes into my appointment I was concerned because we hadn't started my facial. Instead, Stephanie was trying to educate me on spf but I found the way she was throwing information at me to be confusing and I was having a hard time understand the concepts she was explaining. She also let me know that they want their clients to re-apply sunscreen 3-5 times a day. I told her that was unrealistic for me but let her know if she had a good powder spf she recommended I was willing to try. Anywho, I was concerned being we were deep into the appointment and hadn't started the facial. I let her know that I only had an hour for this appointment and asked if we were going to have time for my facial. She looked at me shocked and laughed and said that this appointment would take 1 hour and 45 minutes and that we wouldn't have enough time. No apology on her end for not communicating this. Disappointed, I let her know that if they would have let me know ahead of time how long the appointment would take I would have set that time aside. They acted as if it was my fault and I was a burden to them for not knowing this information. Disappointed at the way they treated me and the fact that I wouldn't have a facial before my trip, I still let them know I would be happy to get a facial when I return. So what if we started off on the wrong foot? I believe in second chances. Well, when I texted Stephanie and asked if she could refund my card for the facial, and that I would rebook when I was back in town, she let me know they "didn't think I was a good fit for them" and recommended I go somewhere else. I literally cried, I felt like a was in highschool again being bullied by the mean girls! I don't care if Stephanie is a great esthetician, there's absolutely no reason to treat anyone like this. And the fact they took NO responsibility for not letting me know I needed to put aside two hours for this appointment is crazy to me. I would avoid this spot at all costs. Really bad customer service and bad treatment of a human being in general. read more

My first visit was for a lash lift and she gave me her honest opinion that I should spend my money using RevitaLash and then get it lifted because all I had were stumps. Sapien Aesthetics is a dreamy little spot. Tucked off the quiet corner of E Pine and Bellevue Ave, it's a bright and sunny space that feels at once energizing and relaxing. Though it can be hard for me to justify spending money on self care services and higher end skin care products, I love knowing that I'm supporting a small female-owned business, and I wholeheartedly trust the staff at Sapien to offer honest, compassionate, non-judgmental advice and recommendations. Miranda, in particular, is a gem. I've seen her for lash lifts/tints and have been wowed by the results every time. I am often asked if I'm wearing false eyelashes! Knowing I'm pretty low maintenance in my beauty routine, Miranda recommended I start using RevitaLash, which has really helped prolong the life of my lash lifts and has allowed me to go a few months in between services. I also think Miranda's just really talented--the lash lifts I've gotten from her have lasted twice as long as the lash lifts I've gotten from other studios.
