I went to Yelp looking for pizza; I'm not from this area, but I had heard about a different pizza place. I called Sapori D'Italia first, apologized and said I had dialed the wrong number, but I reviewed their menu online and liked what I saw. I ordered a large pie and 2 small house salads. The pizza was delicious; my husband, 2 young grandsons and I polished off the whole pie. The crust was so delicious! And the sauce was light and tasty. The house salads were superb. So glad I called again and didn't follow up on the first place I had in mind. Definitely going back again and again and recommending to my family and friends!! read more

Stopped by this restaurant after hiking and biking in the nearby area - so, so pleased with the food - really hit the spot - excellent. I had a margarita slice, small salad and the desserts are truly one of a kind. The young woman who helped me said the desserts are all imported from Italy - I had the chocolate mousse and it comes in a glass jar which is great - food tastes better in glass. Moved here from Hoboken. We have some pretty good pizza in Hoboken and I was looking for my new go to. The other places in town aren't bad, they serve their purpose, and they still get my business, but hands-down, Sapori D'Italia has thee best pizza around. If you're looking for a pie with fresh toppings and great taste then this is the place. Just tried this restaurant a month ago, and have gone back 5 times. Wife loves the pizza, great crust, but I have not tried it yet because I have gone all in on the entrees. Lasagna, Penne Vodka, Chicken Picatta (Got this a 2nd time tonight, asked to have the chicken with the egg wash), and Chicken Francaise. Every meal has been delicious. Very fresh and great flavors. Possibly the best kept Italian food secret in North Jersey. Their pizza goes toe-to-toe with with anything this side of the Atlantic (their Margarita pizza is perfection), and my wife had their Pasta with Vodka sauce and it was "AMAZING."
