I stopped in a Sapp Bros during a road trip. I had never heard of it so I figured it would be a part of the adventure. First order of business was to get gas. That was easy. Then I went inside to check out the place. Overall it's a somewhat average convenience store, but Sapp Bros has a lot more than that. It kind of felt like they had everything. They had a hot bar with chicken and egg rolls; both I wanted to try but knew I should. One thing they had that I loved was a clean bathroom. Road trips can be really scary in the sense that you never know what kind of bathroom you're going to find, but this one was great. I got a coffee, was waited on by a really nice woman and was on my way which is really all you want from a gas station stop. And it is right off the exit so you're off and on really easily. read more

My sister and I was hungry and had to stop and use the rest room; so we found this little travel stop center and it had some nice rest rooms, very clean and smelled fresh. They had a wide variety of drinks, and so it yourself smoothies and fresh coffee. They had chicken and wings and potato wedges, and other amazing things. I gave a review on this place awhile back. I gave them 4 stars. At that time, my husband (who is a truck driver and regular customer here), had no real issues. But the last few times he's been in there, he has encountered more than one, outright, rude employee! We may have to fuel there, but for our personal shopping, we'll go across the way to Speedway! read more

Drivers beware.. sign states one price, Sam as Speedway across the street, but when you go inside they charge you more. Bad business!!!

Best gas/truck stop on I-80 between Chicago and the Quad Cities! The bathrooms are the cleanest, the gas price is usually the cheapest and the homemade fudge is wow, good! The cashiers are like friends you haven't seen in a while, and they always have unique food, clothing and novelty items in their store that you can't get anywhere else. They are open on Holidays if you find yourself needing to travel on those days. read more

Love the place. Good people, even the maintinance people are friendly. To bad they got rid of the resturant. BK is good though. Nice remodeling job. They have a button to push on the wall if the bathroom needs attending. Jacuzzi tubs for truckers to take a bath. And the shop is one of few places I trust to work on my truck. read more

Twice (on different occasions) I had been to this gas station to fill up the gas tank of my car. On the first occasion, the gas pump started at 8 cents; and on the other occasion, the gas pump started at 14 cents. I went in to report the issue and get my money back. Either they are not calibrating their gas pumps the way they should or they have dishonest business practices. Always look at the gas pump display to see what it starts out at. It is normal for it to start at 2-5 cents at the first squeeze of the handle of the gas pump; but if it goes over this amount, you are no longer getting gas at the advertised price. And if this happens to the majority of people getting gas there, the gas station is profiting from the extra money that they are collecting. I would never go back to get gas at Sapp Bros. read more
