Alexander took care of my Aussie-Doodle, Che after he injured his left wrist (what I always think of as a knee) in an ill-judged jump into the yard from a 2nd floor balcony. The Docs are patient, inquisitive about your pet and concerned about their general health as well as the complaint you arrive with for your visit. I have great confidence in this clinic and its staff.

If you're reading this, then you have a pet, and you know how scary this can be. My next door neighbor highly recommended this vet. I'm not a member of the practice: We're summer residents here, and our regular vet is back home in CT. My neighbor said not to worry; just show up early -- "They won't turn you away." WRONG! The receptionist -- refusing to move off her chair, refusing to look over the counter at my dog whose wound was scary to see, refusing to smile or give me any kind of reassurance, just kept repeating "no" to all my entreaties: Could he be seen by a vet? Could he come back later? Could you at least look at him? Her response: He doesn't have an appointment, so he can't be seen. Just a stone-faced, stone-cold NO. Yes, I know: This was one receptionist, on one day. But if a person of this demeanor can be employed here, it's not a good indication for this practice.

Losing a beloved cat is devastating on its own, but the way the situation was handled by this animal hospital made an already unimaginable experience even more painful. My friend entrusted this animal hospital with the care of their beloved cat during an incredibly emotional and difficult time. Instead of being met with compassion, empathy, and professionalism, they left feeling dismissed, upset, and deeply hurt by the way the staff handled the situation. No family should have to experience the loss of a pet while also feeling unsupported by the very people who are supposed to provide comfort and care. The lack of sensitivity and professionalism during such a heartbreaking moment only added to their grief.I understand that veterinary medicine can be stressful and emotionally demanding, but kindness and compassion should never be overlooked. Pets are family, and their owners deserve to be treated with respect during one of the worst days of their lives. Based on what my friend experienced, I would encourage others to carefully consider where they choose to bring their pets. I sincerely hope this hospital takes these concerns seriously and works to improve how they communicate with and support grieving families.
