I finally decided to try a deep tissue massage to see if it would help and I'm finally improving and the pain has gone down significantly. While the deep tissue massage wasn't as relaxing as the normal Swedish massages I get, it was necessary and I will be back for another one in a week to help with my muscle spasms. She's intuitive, professional, and a clear communicator- letting me know ahead of time what to expect and making sure I felt comfortable to communicate my needs regarding pressure/intensity and areas of concern. Lora is also very knowledgeable and offered me suggestions for how to ease tension in my leg muscles using a foam roller, to continue loosening the muscles she worked on. She also doesn't rattle on with unnecessary chatter...unless that's what you want. I prefer quiet time to reflect and breathe into the work. Her demeanor is relaxed and soothing and at no point did I feel rushed, including afterwards when she encouraged me to take a few minutes to stretch and breathe before rising to dress. Lora is a true healer. I highly recommend her and I'll be returning again to receive her magic touch, for sure! :)

The only down side is that he is only in the Bay Area every other weekend -- so that means you got to catch him when you can! There have been times I have lucked out and been able to schedule a massage last minute.
