Almost 10 years ago, Leslie started grooming me and my brother Lucky. We were inseparable partners in crime, explorers of the backyard, and champions of mischief... until Lucky, bless his clueless heart, spotted a human walking some fancy female dogs across the street. Did he think he could impress them? Did he even look both ways? Nope. He ran, and a speeding car... well, let's just say he's now the fastest dog in doggy heaven. Heartbreaking for us humans, hilarious in retrospect (don't tell Mom I said that). After Lucky left, we were gifted the tiniest, sweetest little chihuahua named Gizmo. For eight years, Gizmo was full of spunk, mischievous, bossy, and somehow always finding a way to sit on your favorite chair before you did. Time slowed him down eventually; he became fragile, blind, and walked like every step was a math problem he didn't want to solve. But Leslie? Leslie treated him like royalty the entire time. She pampered him, spoiled him, and somehow made his old-man antics look adorable. When it was Gizmo's time to go, she put her own commitments aside to be there for Mom, helping us say goodbye. Even I have to admit... that was pretty incredible. Now it's just me. And honestly? I'm loving it. All of Leslie's attention is mine. That small gesture made such a difference because Whiskey usually shakes and cries when he goes to the groomer. What really impressed me was how the owner sat down with us to discuss her vision for Whiskey's groom while also listening carefully to what we wanted. I've never had a groomer take the time to explain what style would suit my dog best. We ultimately decided on an Asian fusion cut, and it turned out absolutely adorable! I don't particularly like the fresh cut look because it looks too "clean" but he looks absolutely perfect in like 2 weeks when his shag comes back! I can tell how much she loves her job by the way she speaks to him. I've gone to many many many groomers in my 20 years of dog ownership and I am loyal to Bluemoon! She is really flexible with appointments and I usually call a week in advance to get an appointment and she always has availabilities based on my schedule. I drop him off, remind her what I want, and pick him up when she calls/texts me in about 3 hours! It's in a shared lot with other businesses like a laundromat and more but I've never had issues finding parking.

When we went back to the groomer a few months later, she wasn't anxious nor shaking. Evelina explained that she takes time in the beginning of each appointment to acclimate your dog to the environment and other dogs that are there that day. I cannot say for certain what happened behind closed doors, but his behavior afterward makes me believe that he may have been treated roughly. My dog was kept at this salon for approximately 5.5 hours, which, in my opinion, is completely unacceptable for a four-month-old puppy. When I asked for a refund after what happened, instead of having a normal conversation or trying to resolve the situation, I was literally told: "You are a disgrace to Armenian women!" If necessary, I can provide all of the text messages confirming our conversation. I do not recommend this salon to anyone, and I would never trust them with my pet again. The owner should consider herself lucky that, after everything that happened, I chose to leave a review instead of taking legal action.
