My Frenchie gets really bad anxiety and the two men who helped us were incredibly patient and kind. They allowed me to hold him during the cleaning and took their time, giving us breaks whenever he needed to calm down. At his age, we really do not want to put him under anesthesia for a dental cleaning, so this meant a lot to us. Such genuinely caring people and they were incredibly helpful with aftercare too. I used to bring both my dogs here. I stopped because last time I brought my younger dog here, I had specifically requested a male groomer that my dog had started off with, since she had trust issues, only to see that it was a woman grooming my dog for the very first time. My younger dog tends to also get scared and rough when she's unfamiliar and uncomfortable. The female groomer was too scared to even shower and cut my dog's nails, they asked me to stay the whole duration of the appointment. She did also cut the nails a too short too since she did flinch. Let me just tell you, if you have any doodle of any kind I would hands-down recommend this spot for life not only is this place so accommodating and the staff always goes above and beyond. Haircuts are always on point. They cut the nails really far back. I have never had an issue with them. It might be a little bit more expensive than if you would go to Petsmart, but let me tell you quality over quantity every time! Dean is the wonderful woman who works the front desk. She is beyond hospitable, greeting us every time with a warm and welcoming smile. My dog goes in there every time, enthusiastic and excited. he always seems to be a little bit sad when we're leaving. I recently used this brand in Arcadia, CA. I have two small dogs that had individual grooming needs due to the difference in breeds (teacup chihuahua and Jack Russell terrier). By the way, they are camera shy folks, no photos this time. ;) The team at Ironmaya were pleasant to speak with and carried a demeanor of care and concern for my 4-legged family members. The lobby area was clean and the glass between the kennels(full of pets by the way) and the lobby entrance was "squeaky clean). The groomers were adorned with smocks and were "busy at work". I was greeted as the "neighbor" which I am now, and the interaction with the staff was pleasant and reassuring that my 4-legged family members were going to be in good hands. Finally, the expertise demonstrated in caring for my terrier who had the greater portion of services required (nails, bath and haircut) and a sore that needed special avoidance as it is healing was bar none the BEST! The Groomer said "the sore would not be a problem, we will give her special care". IU was given an expected time of pick up which was met, and when "the girls" were ready, it was evident EVERYTING WENT WELL FOR THEM. They were calm but hungry and I believe on their behalf "fun was had by all!" Thank you Ironmaya! This was certainly the best grooming experience for me and "the girls" in their 11 years of life!
