    Big Matt Burger and fries

This place is awesome. The bar/restaurant is in an 1800s brewery and doesn't disappoint. Bar/wait staff were friendly and informative. The Big Matt burger tasted great and as imagined, the beer selection had something for everyone. It was a little cold in dining room.

Highly recommend brewery tour. Our group of 8 all loved it. Tour guide was very knowledgeable!

    Welcome to Saranac Brewery.

We were a group of about 18 people and we all had an amazing time. The Saranac Brewery was a five minute walk or three minute drive from our hotel. We drove and there was plenty of parking. We all had different beers and I know that everyone enjoyed their excellent drinks. It was a beautiful day and a fun-relaxing time. The staff here is an extremely friendly group and was looking forward to the questions of the guests. The only food we tried was the pretzel. Yum.... It was soft-warm-tasty delicious. When we weren't drinking or eating, I was running around taking pictures. Loved the peach and blueberry beers. Super tasty and smooth. Besides the great food and drink, the venue here is great for pictures. As a photographer I was really enjoying the backdrops. Beautiful building, great gift shop and an overall fun place to spend some time with friends. KUDOs to the team at Saranac Bewery.

Stopped into the 1888 tavern at the Saranac Brewery for a draft and a bite to eat. It was almost empty when we arrived - the decor hasn't changed and brought me back to my youth - the bar, walls and architecture hasn't changed in 50 years - it's spectacular. Bartender was also our waitress and she brought us drafts (Uncle Charlie of course) but there were many other types to order as well. Ordered the Reuben sandwich and when the chef delivered it she said...enjoy your happiness....now I'm not sure if that was intended for the food alone because having a brew in a bar that I wandered around as a toddler was good enough for me... I was in my happy place. The Reuben was good, fries very good. Can't wait to come back - please bring back the brewery tours!

1888 Tavern event Friday night for prohibition. Place was packed. 1 bar tender upstairs. 4pm ran out of beer and food. Very unorganized. No glasses available for flights and some of the beers AT A BREWERY tapped out. Fish was ok nothing great. Goulash was served earlier to someone sitting at our table very large portion. Mine portion dry, limited meat and 1/3 the size. Mostly Mac and cheese. Bread toasted one side only. Table by us had large pretzel looked great. Ordered one got sticks. They ran out. Never told by server or offer to cancel. Downstairs speak easy. Separate deal. Selling beer tickets, ran out of beer. Tickets had to be used upstairs which was a zoo. Service very limited. Note to management. You are a BREWERY how do you run out of beer and flight glasses? Run out of food!!! Stop serving. Very poorly organized and unprepared.

Stopped here before heading to the Adirondacks for a weekend in a cabin and I'm thrilled I did. Fantastic beer with a robust selection. Food was solid. And the beer garden was incredible.

This is our 3rd or 4th visit to Saranac when we are in the area. We had a great time. The tavern upstairs is odd. We didn't have cash so purchased tokens downstairs. Can't leave a tip when trading tokens for drinks so it's bizarre and feel bad for the bartenders. Bartenders were fabulous and loved the variety and selection. We did a brewery tour a few years ago and loved the history and ambiance of the building.

Was home for a quick visit and was lucky to stop by the brewery store while the brand new beer garden was open and the weather was a perfect Upstate NY Fall day. Great service, amazing beers, food available, plenty of seating and an excellent new spot on Varick St. I can't say enough about the kindness and superior customer service shown by every single employee we came in contact with. From the merch shop to the beer garden staff. Great people with smiles and bent over backwards to make sure we had a good time. The brewery's Vice President (Mr. Dan Voce) even came down and bought me a beer. Can't ask for more than that. Don't miss this place if you're visiting or if you live nearby. Good time GUARANTEED.

A group of 5 of us leveraged this tour (private, winter tour) and we were sadly very, very…read moredisappointed. 1. Transportation - this was one of the only pluses to this overall experience. We were picked up and dropped off door-door for this tour. The van that we were in was comfortable and clean. It was equipped with water bottles (one of two souvenirs) and snacks. We were charged a driving fee based on our distance - an extra $82. 2. Guide - our tour guide, George was very nice and well-informed. He clearly had passion and experience. The BEST part of our tour was the "off script" stop George made to one of the wineries en route between "planned" stops. This off-script stop was how the entire route should have been. Modern, clean converted farmhouse with gorgeous views, amenities and great vintages. Absolutely tragic that the rest of the stops were NOT aligned to this really perfect place. He was super eager to help us with pictures and answer any and all questions we had with the region and wine in general. Our second souvenir was a really great printed pic he took of our group. Again, one of the only highlights was George. I think the company should absolutely leverage his hospitality experience to help curate better partnerships and stops for the Seneca route. 3. Snacks/lunch - the winter tour advertised snacks, water and lunch was included/provided. The water was in a reusable water bottle (that we got to keep)- fine but I guess I would have expected additional bottles in a cooler. Maybe even some seltzer or soda for the price point. Snacks were just individual serve baggies from Costco - decent variety but again, for the price point not aligned. We expected snacks to be food pairings at each stop. We really only got that with chocolate bites at the first stop. On site lunch - this was a huge disappointment for the price point. At our first winery we had bites of chocolate for a flight pairing. The pairing and chocolate were nice. The second stop we had three cheeseboards to split between 5 of us - again, fine but no meat (so no significant protein) and we each got a bowl of soup. That was it. That was lunch. For a 7 hour tour this was simply not enough. And we aren't big eaters generally but definitely expected way more for a 7 hour alcohol tour. This was honestly terrible for the price point. I would have expected cheese/bites pairing at all stops with an actual lunch (at least a full panini or sandwich). 4. The wineries - this was where it really all fell down. We stopped at three places on Seneca. First stop was Damiani. We were NOT brought to the tasting room but rather the barn where the wine was made. Let's just say having your first stop pull up to a metal barn when you've paid ~$400/pp is NOT the best first impression. The wine itself and the staff member, Noah, were actually the best of the three stops. But the aesthetic of it was again, not it. Second stop was red newt - this was at least a more "expected" tasting room set up. We were brought to the back and had our flight/tasting there. The wine was OK at best - sadly we did buy a bottle with our "wine bucks" to have with lunch (again not great considering the price point that lunch didn't just come with a complimentary full glass) and one of us in the group got a whole mouth full of legitimate sediment (like straight grit she had to spit out). It was off putting to say the least especially since we had to buy this to have with "lunch". The pours themselves at ALL the stops was exactly that - a tasting pour. It wasn't more "generous" - just a standard 1oz pour and no one was pouring more. When we had "time" at the end we weren't offered more or even a half glass - we instead felt very pressured to buy bottles (and sadly, none of the vintages were really purchase a whole bottle worthy). Again, not expected for the price point - we thought with the "curated" experience and "lasting partnerships" the tour has with these stops we'd at least get heavier pours or extras. Def did NOT happen. The last stop was Flatt Rock - again, sold as a farm/mom and pop shop - that's what it was. The tasting room was not aesthetically a vibe. The wine was also not great and we were told they had a great champagne style drink - we didn't get any. Overall, we were looking for an all-inclusive. No one in our group wanted to plan the itinerary because we didn't want to invest the time but I think it would have been much more worth it to just do that. The three "on route" places we were brought to were old and just not what we expected for the price point. Maybe their public tours on other lakes is better but I can say with confidence the Seneca lake, private winter tour is NOT the vibe for the price per person.

What a nice experience!…read more Laura was a wonderful tour guide. She owns the company and is just so passionate about all things wine and the Finger Lakes. it was such a relaxing day filled with good wine and good food. Our tour included three winery stops, tastings at each winery, lunch at one winery and some cheese pairings at the other two. We didn't book a private tour but got really lucky because our hotel was an included pick up / drop off point. We spent a good amount of time at each winery and learned alot from all of the wine makers and Laura. If you want to spend a day drinking wine without worrying about driving or having to think about where to go / what to taste then this tour is definitely for you. Leave it to the experts, relax and have a good time and eat and drink well. You can't go wrong!

He made the booking process incredibly easy and was fully transparent about pricing and policy (was not surprised with any hidden charges even at the end of the trip). He picked us up right on time at our hotel and offered us bottled waters and some restaurant recommendations around Niagara Falls, which was so considerate! We are out of town so we did not really know the area very well so his recommendations made it SO much easier for us to enjoy our trip without any added hassle. He also graciously made any stops we requested despite it not being on our official itinerary. We were so highly impressed with Enzo's professionalism and character that we asked if he was available the next day but unfortunately he was fully booked (AND FOR GOOD REASON!). My family and I all agreed that this day spent with Enzo in Niagara Falls was the highlight of our trip. Definitely the best limousine and transportation service I have ever used and would highly recommend to anyone!
