I called this one and talked with Jesse on the phone. She was very friendly and was able to get me in quickly. My first impression of this clinic was clean and well maintained. There were flowers and big balloons on Jesse's desk, that was the gift from clinic owner Dr. Phen for Jesse's birthday. Nice! First consultation with Dr.Phen went smooth. She is a beautiful young lady but very professional. They have several in house hygienists not the tempary ones. So I scheduled with Nicole right away. Second visit was my deep cleaning appointment. I was nervous when I walked in. There were flowers and big balloons in Nicole's station, it was her birthday gifts. Very nice working environment! The whole deep cleaning process was NOT painful at all, no needle injection for anesthetic ( other 2 clinics all said they will inject), my mouth was not swollen and I walked out of clinic perfectly normal. Over time, though, my experience changed a lot. During my last two visits, I felt rushed and more like a number than a patient. A dental student was shadowing, and it often felt like more attention was being given to teaching than to actually communicating with me. Getting clear answers about billing was also much harder than it should have been. The filling done at my last visit was left with such a jagged edge that it was cutting my tongue when I got home, and I ended up smoothing it myself just to make it tolerable. After I informed the office about my prior reaction to Septocaine involving throat swelling, I was left feeling like my care had become more of a complication than a priority. I was also charged more than my insurance showed I owed for completed treatment. After calling numerous times and then emailing a full breakdown of the overpayment on 4/15, I still did not receive a meaningful response or resolution. I ultimately had to file a grievance with my insurance. My dental work was time-sensitive, so I chose to continue care elsewhere. My original review reflected my first impression, but this update reflects the full experience.

Greenberg quote reflects an additional fictitious code D1111 called Cosmetic upgrade $500. When I questioned this charge, I got two different answers from two locations. The first stated that the Doctor would not do the crown for $400! The other one stated that it is an insurance in the events it falls, the doctor will replace it. In other words, an insurance for my insurance premium! Unfortunately, Delta Dental keeps listing Greenberg as a provider despite my filed grievances. Fortunately, I found another provider with 40 years of experience honoring my insurance fees.

Because it's "Thank You Thursday" on YELP and I had some major work done today by Dr. Dave, who is my regular dentist and has been taking good care of me for more than a decade, at beyond reasonable prices as I don't have insurance or much money for the type of work I need. His awesome assistant, Janet was on a well-deserved vacation, so I had the pleasure of Dr. Steve's wonderful assistant, Maria, who without knowing it helped to ease the pain of a rather complicated procedure by distracting my nerves, like stepping on my toe but without the pain Thanks, Tracy for always getting back to me promptly, managing to schedule me in, and putting up with my PITA whining at checkout I'm so fortunate to have gotten my place there and Dr. David keeping me as a patient.
