Good mall food. I always get teriyaki chicken & shrimp with noodles or rice with veggies with the teriyaki sauce they put on it. It's always hot and tasty. From what's presented from where you get your food, it presents clean but the back of establishment isn't visible so I can only go by what I see. This is the location inside the ball, not the one by Target. The one by Target is awful and their sushi is pre-made and not fresh. I will never go there again. BUT the one in the mall is FANTASTIC! Fresh food always. They make everything right in front of you. I always get the chicken teriyaki, double meat, fried rice, no veggies. Then I ask for additional sauce at the end. The sushi place that's attached is my favorite sushi spot and I know that sounds ridiculous because it's food court food. I order delivery from them very often. They are on DoorDash. The California roll is so fresh and doesn't include yucky cucumber or mayo like other places. I also enjoy their Baltimore roll as well. The guy that runs this place is so sweet. my experience was horrible I went there today for the first time while shopping at white marsh mall and Ofree termix chicken with lowmein noodles and vegetables and I hardy got any chicken are vegetables but a whole lot of spaghetti noodles and no lowmein and it was very skimpy for the price I pay and the noodles was not good the chicken was good and I will never come back again are recommended it to anyone read more

The place was clean and well laid out I had the Chicken Teriyaki and chicken egg roll. Compared to other Japanese I've had this was good. However, for a fast food place I would call it very good. I went to this new Sarku location in White Marsh, Halloween, 2020. I was delightfully surprised that there was a new location that was still near my house. Not sure if the one in the mall still exists, but the parking and placement of the new restaurant came with much ease. Because of Covid, chairs and tables were moved out of the way, so it's carry out only right now. The prices are still affordable, which is awesome. I ordered the chicken and shrimp teriyaki with fried rice. I asked for extra chicken, but the cashier rung it up as extra shrimp. It honestly wasn't a big deal, as I am a shrimp lover. Anyways, there was a bit of a wait. There's a booth to sit, which I did. After about ten minutes, my order was ready. When I returned home, I was impressed with how much food they gave me! Everything was delicious and I even had enough left over the next day! I wish I had a bit more veggies, but I'm far from complaining! I would definitely go back soon to try the beef and shrimp combo in the near future. I hope they stick around for a while. read more

Sarku Japan is one of those chains that you can reliably count on to have good solid comfort food. I mean, who doesn't love tender tepan chicken, beef, or shrimp made fresh right in front of you? Price is reasonable, and if you're a regular, don't forget to ask for the frequent diner card, sixth order of the chicken teriyaki is free. This is no Benihana, but then again Benihana is no Sarku. One word of advice though: eat this as quickly as you can, don't let it sit overnight in the fridge and try to reheat it later, the tenderizer they use (a type of tapioca powder) will congeal and even agglomerate in the fridge and will not taste as good or look as good overnight. read more

So I opted to get sushi! Thanks friendly stranger! The cashier was friendly and gave me a California Roll sample. I ordered the salmon avocado and the cashier suggested that I order another type of roll as it was cheaper that way. I should have, but passed. For being in a mall and so cheap this sushi was a ok now my book. It's been 24 hours and I'm not sick yet ! Lol. Rolls were kinda constructed sloppy but the taste was there. Served on a cute Dixie paper plate lol. Communication was def a barrier here . But all in all , when u get 3 decent sized rolls for 12 bucks , I'll take it . I have been coming here since i was at least 14 (i am 21 now) & it is always amazing. The portions of everything in each roll is always perfect! Used to be mine and my childhood best friends favorite part of going to the mall. One of the gentlemen who works there even remembers me everytime i come! He always says "hello my friend!" And pre-covid he would always high five me. The prices are also good. Now i work at a nearby restaurant & it always a treat to make it here to get some sushi for lunch. I've been to many different Sarku Japan takeout counters at a lot of different malls. This one was the most disappointing by far. They didn't give me a cup of tap water when I asked for it. They didn't have the usual dipping sauce for my dumplings that I've gotten at all the other Sarku's. And they didn't have the best bedside manners. Typical mall-quality sushi in the food court at White Marsh Mall. They didn't give me the correct order, however, which was a bit of an annoyance. I had ordered a spicy tuna and a Philadelphia roll - what I'd actually gotten was a spicy tuna and a California roll. It wasn't a huge deal - I can eat both - but it would have been nice to get what I'd wanted in the first place. The price was right, though, at 7 dollars for 2 rolls, so I can't complain TOO much. It did fine in a pinch and it was nice to avoid the grease-laden, heavier options from other places in the mall. One positive - the staff made the rolls right in front of my eyes, so it was nice and fresh. Worth the price. Just don't expect high-end quality, that's all. read more

The only reason why I am not giving this place 5 stars is that it's always a wait whether or not there are customers. It's a sushi counter/quick eat in the food court of the White Marsh Mall, which is pretty cool to have in a mall. The sushi rolls are great, esp. for the kiddies! Good price and tastes great. I saw someone ask for a sample, but I don't think this is that type of place as compared to the other food choices in the food court that do offer samples. Not only was the survey a complete waste of time ( nothing on it applied to me whatsoever) they refused to honor my coupon after I presented it to them. Usually love this place. Today they treated me like a criminal for asking for sauce on my meal. Not sure when I will return. They guy in front of me for a plain special (chicken teriyaki, just rice) and a Snapple. I ordered chicken teriyaki double meat, white rice and vegetables just like every other time I have been to this restaurant. When I asked for sauce the guy asked for my receipt, first time that ever happened but I handed over the receipt. He also asked for the guy in front of me to hand over his receipt. He then handed the guy in front of me my receipt and my food. He gave me the other guys receipt. I told him this is not mine I want what I ordered. He told that is what is on your receipt. I calmly informed him it was not my receipt i did not get a Snapple. He tried to give me a Snapple, told him I just want what I paid for almost $9 for this meal can't tell you exactly because some jerk has my receipt. The woman at the register said she did not remember what I got and again tried to give me a Snapple. I told them i just want what I ordered a chicken teriyaki with double meat, white rice and vegetables. They finally gave it to me because by this time I was holding up the line causing a scene but still asked me if i paid again like I'm the one at fault. I'm so mad I tried to call and leave a complaint but no one with answer the phone. I will not be patronizing this restaurant again for a long time.
