My rev is based off a DoorDash order. The food was good however I do have some issues like the cost of the shrimp egg rolls ( 2 for $7) which only Had 3 baby shrimp inside (if the shrimp is minimal then they should lower the price or title it "baby shrimp egg-roll" so that people know to not expect a nice amount of shrimp (preferably 2-3 jumbo shrimp is what I'm use to getting in a shrimp egg-roll that cost the price of this) also it could've been cooked longer as the dough inside was not all the way cooked. The broccoli had a weird taste like the pan was burnt and that burnt taste transferred into the food?!. Besides all of This, the shrimp fired rice was yummy. read more

We had shrimp toast, crab wonton, shrimp and vegetables in lobster sauce, miso soup, chicken wonton soup, eel sushi and spicy sushi. We had so much food left and did not take anything home. Been here a few times now over several years. When we come to visit family in the Baltimore area, we always stop here for very good Chinese food. The shrimp toast is the bomb! Good fried dumplings and a decent Miso soup. Nice variety of sushi and well prepared. Try it out. read more

Pretty typical Chinese/Asian food. Crab Rangoon didn't have a lot of filling and was very greasy. But the pineapple fried rice was great! Very flavorful and I love the different textures. My only complaint is that there wasn't much chicken in the rice, but there were a decent amount of shrimp. Overall a decent meal and I'd try them again. read more

Starting my journey to see the sushi places Whitemarsh has to offer and a fellow Yelpie recommended Chopstix. I ordered the King Spider Roll & the O-I-Shi Roll which were pretty good. The sushi rolls were huge ( pause) but on the flip side, weren't wrapped too well. They kept breaking apart. I wasn't disappointed with the flavor, but the food ain't make me dance in my seat. It could have been from my selection, I'll have to come back and try other selections. The staff is amazing & the place is very clean. Quite as well. I feel like I've heard good things about this place since I was in high school, and I finally got the chance to try it myself. I dined in for lunch with my parents on a weekday, so the restaurant was super quiet and service was pretty quick. We started with some steamed dumplings and edamame, which were both decent. I was especially pleased with the edamame as it was nice and salty, which is the way I like it. We then all ordered our own sushi, which were some of the biggest rolls I think I have ever seen. I feel like specialty rolls tend to be on the bigger side, but even the spicy tuna I got was as big as the rest of them. Usually I can eat about two rolls to fill me up (and sometimes a little more), but I was full after about a half of each roll. Seriously, they are huge! Everyone was happy - no complaints, and the presentation of all the plates was really beautiful. I was just jealous that the plate with the flower wasn't mine . That was definitely my favorite! Neighborhood favorite and my comfort food spot. Chopstix is a reliable favorite of mine for fresh and delicious sushi. All the rolls are great with my #1 being the ninja roll and I have been loving all of their hand rolls recently. The fish melts in your mouth and doesn't have that fishy flavor or texture. We have always been seated right away and service is quick. Take-out processes is seamless as well. BYOB for those that don't know. And the liquor store next door is closed on Sundays, so plan ahead. The food was tasty, the staff was pleasant and accommodating and the atmosphere is relaxed. We got numerous appetizers, sushi and entrees between our party. We had no complaints for anything, it was all good. The only mix up was when I asked for no spicy sauce on a special roll, but it was still inside of the roll. They took back the roll and remade it for me, no problem. If I lived closer, I would definitely come back, but I missed having a glass of plum wine with meal, so I would plan better if I came back for dining in. read more

Stopped by Chopstix on a recent Sunday afternoon for a late lunch, early dinner. I had a taste for some really good beef and rice and sushi. Rather than the usual beef and broccoli that I would order, I settled on the sliced beef with onion and scallions. I called my order in, rather than ordering online. There's a convenience fee when ordering online, so your best bet is to just call the restaurant. I'm glad I didn't decided to eat in, because they do not have indoor dining, due to Covid-19. My order came up to a little over $20, which was a bit pricy for me. I only ordered a small sized entree with an 8 piece roll. When I got home and prepared to eat. Now, I know I ordered beef with onions and scallions, but this might as well had been onions and scallions with a bit of sliced beef on the side. The entree had a good taste and the beef was good, BUT, the onion was so overpowering! There were so many onions, it was kind of ridiculous. I had to stir the food to make sure there was beef in the dish. Again, the it tasted good, but $10 for a bowl of sautéed onions with a few slices of beef is not what I was going for. I've had the pearl river roll a few times and had no complaints about it. It was simple and good. Again, a bit pricey, but at this point, that's neither here nor there. This is the Honeygo area, and the prices are reflected by the neighborhood (they are pretty much taking advantage of the people because it's a more affluent area). This was not a $20 meal, but I ate it and it was decent. I must make it clear that I am not cheap and will pay the money for a meal that's worth it, but this meal was just okay. I took a break from Chopstix for the subpar, overpriced food. I'll continue to break. read more

This place is so amazing. I totally recommend coming here. The food was so amazing. It was way better than takeout. I got chicken and broccoli and it tasted fresh and yummy. The service was as amazing as the food. They checked on us and the people around us very often. But the final test was the look, mood, and feel of the place and it totally served. The place looked very, very clean and pretty. The AC was on and the lights were not too bright. But the best part of the experience was the fact that we got large portions of food for a good price. When we get takeout we usually get less food for the same price. All in all this is a must go to food stop. read more

We got the shrimp pad thai to go. It was very organized and clean. I got it quickly. The pad thai itself was disgusting. There was hardly any sauce. The seasoning tasted nothing like pad thai. It had so many chopped and long onions, along with scallions, that it overwhelmed the dish and made it smell like burnt fajitas. My wife couldn't start eating her food until I dumped almost half of the dish of these vegetables out. The only good thing was the shrimp, which were well cooked, cleaned, and of good size. I came here in search of a sushi boat, which they did have! It comes w two soups and two salads which is awesome. The soup was delicious and the salad was pretty good, except for this odd carrot ginger dressing that had good flavor but an off texture. The boat itself had different sushi on it than they described on the menu which isn't ideal, but it did have good variety of sushi/sashimi. I personally felt as though i could have gotten better sushi and flavor if i ordered individual rolls, as the options on the boat were kind of plain, but it was still super delicious. Terrible customer service . I forgot my debit card so I had to pay with cash and a few quarters . I do t think the guy at the window ( the crazy woman Dow ) they build during Covid still up ! He didn't liked it . He counted all the money then slammed my order on the table. He gave me a carry out order without utensils. It was disgusting !!! I had a sweet and sour sauce that tasted like hot ketchup! No pineapples or peppers ( which is supposed to have it ). I have been to the Chopstix in Rosedale many times for dim sum but have always been curious about their sushi. The Perry Hall location is right down the street from me so BF and I decided to go for a sushi date. The BEST part is that it is BYOB... that's literally all you have to tell me and I'm there. I brought a Chardonnay and they were nice enough to give me an ice bucket also. We started with soup. I got hot and sour, and while it wasn't my favorite hot and sour soup that I've had, it was ok. We got about 5 rolls to share and thought all of them were very good. We were impressed with some of the prices for special rolls. We also ordered some shrimp egg rolls but we had to remind the waitress about them and they didn't come out until after the sushi. While they were stuffed with fresh veggies, there wasn't a lot of shrimp in them at all. We are an earlier dinner and by the time we left there was a wait for tables-- this is definitely a popular neighborhood place. I had a great first experience here and will return! read more

Came here because my brother's coworker loves this place. We wanted to try a few different things on their menu, so we got a tuna avocado salad, shrimp tempura dinner, Singapore rice noodles, green money roll, Pikachu roll and soft shell crab roll (forgot the name). Service was ok, food came fast, taste was... I don't want to be mean. Really really don't want to. But here we go: Tuna isn't that fresh, taste ok, way too much sauce. Shrimp tempura came straight from frozen aisle at Weis. You ask how can I tell. Well, shrimp and veggie batter are completely different types of batter! See picture below. Also veggie tempura are so oversized that they came with thick undercooked tempura batter. They forgot our rice, we didn't bother to ask. We got our daily carbohydrates intake from batter already. Lol! Singapore rice noodles was the best out of everything. Good portion size enough for 2 people. Green money roll had old bay seasoning, cauc"asian" sushi...? Pikachu roll tasted ok, but I can't remember what's in it... and soft shell crab roll (forgot the name) was ok. They used the least amount of soft shell crab in a soft shell crab roll we ever seen. All sushi rolls are ok. Nothing stood out. So I may recommend Chinese food here but not sushi. We should have gone to Subway next door. Take out order. Sweet sour shrimp was way too spicy. General's chicken was tough, and a piece or two was cold on the bottom- I watched it brought from the kitchen, and the hot & sour soup was as was the top pieces of chicken on the General's chicken, so nothing should have been cold.
