First...I have lived in Minnesota for just over two years. In all that time EVERY SINGLE PIZZA PLACE was awful. No fennel, no Italian seasonings, cheddar to mozzarella ratio way off, and the list goes on. This was my first order from Sarpino's and it will definitely not be my last. Average pizza - 3 stars. This was my first time trying food from Sarpino's. It's pretty average pizza. I actually prefer Dominos over Sarpino's...and that's saying a lot...because I'm not thrilled with Dominos. It isn't bad and it isn't great. Pretty much all of the pizza in the Elk River area beats this place. I really wanted to try a couple of the 8 appetizers listed on the website, especially the fried ravioli and the jalapeno poppers. I was informed that none of these are available at the Otsego location because they don't have a deep fryer. Bummer. My hot Sarpino's Italian Sandwich was pretty boring. I could have done better at Jimmy Johns or Subway. I was pretty disappointed in the wimpy 1 ounce bag of chips that came with my sandwich. It should have been 3 ounces. I have a friend who owns a vending business. They call the 1 oz size "gift" or "Halloween" size bags. He doesn't sell them. And neither should Sarpino's. I got the tiramisu for dessert. It was frozen rock solid, even after a 30 minute drive home on a 90 degree day. What a letdown. Can these guys at least thaw out a couple each day so this doesn't happen again? Lazy. The woman at the counter was great. The older guy with the accent (in back) was super grumpy and bitchy when I asked him questions about the Sarpino's company (because the other employee didn't know). Bad PR, dude. We were having a small celebration at home last Friday night and the family wanted to try a new pizza spot. Around 5pm, we ordered over $70 of food on the website and scheduled the delivery for 6:30pm. Table was set, kids are excited and 6:40pm rolls around. I call the store to verify the order and get a status update on timing. I was told the driver had another delivery in front of us and should be there in 10 minutes. Great! I have worked in customer service and am very understanding about human error. However, by 7pm...there was no food. The driver tried to call and explain they were lost. Totally understandable. But if you are lost, you don't call when you are already over 30 minutes late. We ended up helping guide the driver to the house but they didn't end up arriving until around 7:25. Do the math....this food has been sitting in the car for at least an hour. Everything was disgusting. Pizzas were ice cold. Breadsticks were soggy, cheese was all congealed We couldn't eat any of it and felt terrible that we had to throw away an entire meal for 6 people. It was such a huge waste of food. Want to know the actual problem? Sarpino's was 100% aware of our situation and did absolutely nothing to rectify it. They went ahead and charged me for the entire amount ($71.33), including the 25% tip for the driver I had added when I initially made the online order. Before reading this review, please understand that I am definitely a pizza snob. That being said, I'm not sure how this place has good reviews. Maybe people in Minnesota just have extremely low expectatons? This pizza is awful. Bad crust, bad sauce, bad cheese, bad topings. I ordered a large, thin crust pepperoni and bacon pizza. I used their online ordering system to specify exactly what I wanted, hoping this would result in a decent pizza, but definitely it did not. To elaborate: The crust - I requested a thin crust, I got something that was kind of thin, but also kind of chewy. Definitely not the thin crispy crust that you'd get at any decent place capable of making a thin crust pizza. The sauce - I requested "Lite" sauce, yet the pizza was still oversauced. Also, the sauce was just too sweet The cheese - I'm not sure what they use, but it is not good mozzerella. I'd say that there may have been the correct amount of cheese on this pizza, but it was still bad. The toppings - They really skimped on the pepperoni and bacon. This was so disapointing. Ususally these chain places try to make up for a lower quality with a high quantity of toppings. I feel like Sarpinos just kind of gave up. Don't go here. I'm sorry that I don't have a good alternative recomendation for pizza, but almost anything would be better than this place. read more

I'm beginning to think this whole chain is awful. I've been to one that was incredible and that place set the standard. I ordered pizza and wings to be delivered the other day. It was the first time we've had their food. The pizza was really Good! The only disappointment was that the sauces for the wings are in containers on the side instead of on the wings. But they were cooked well. The delivery service took exactly the amount of time estimated and the delivery person was very friendly and helpful. Oh and this was the first time we used Yelp for a food delivery. My co-workers and I have ordered from Sarpino's on a few different occasions. Our facility is located in Ramsey, which from what I understand is in your coverage zone. Twice now, we've had the same delivery driver, get snarky with us about how far he has to drive, and that next time we have to place a bigger order. I'm sorry, if Ramsey is too far, then take it out of your coverage zone. If your driver is frustrated with having to drive, he should not be complaining to your customers, he should take that up with his supervisor. The quality of the food is definitely there, unfortunately the two times that I have ordered from here my order has been wrong. The last time I paid extra for multiple different sauces but I never got them, and tonight I ordered a pepperoni, onion, and green pepper calzone and it got made with green olives instead of peppers, which i can not eat. Whether I call my order in or order online it didn't make a difference. Pretty disappointed that I had to eat something other than the food I spent my money on. I'm not sure what happened to sarpino's. They used to be really affordable and good quality food. Delivery is still super fast and service is great but the food is terrible and so expensive! They changed how the loyalty points are and there are never any coupons or specials anymore. The last time I ordered my pizza was undercooked and still doughy in the middle. Wish they'd go back to how they used to do things. $50 for two large pizzas is ridiculous especially when they are not even cooked well! Will save my money and buy elsewhere. read more

Have ok pizza, Calzone's are pretty good. Everything else is garbage. Lasagna is flavorless, wings are 50% fat. They will forget your side if you order them. Ordered 3 orders of wings, ended up with these 50% fat wings ordered 5 extra sides of ranch as I had none at home....Driver at door I ask extra side of ranch in there..He lies to my face and says YEP! I get inside, find no: Plates I ordered, extra forks/knives, and NONE of my extra ranches. Call store, manager doesn't apologize, and gives the ugh whatever tone. Doesn't offer any certificates or anything, so now I wait another 20min for my ranch to arrive for me to use on my now COLD wings...What a horrible place.
