The turkey sandwich was greasy and soggy as well. My husband and I both got sick from the food with food poisoning.The waitress never checked on us until we were waiting for boxes. We were attending a show across the street and wanted to grab something to eat. I've seen this restaurant and have been meaning to try. The inside is like a huge log cabin with fishing tackles and antlers. We ordered hamburger and wings to share. Delicious! I will come back next time when we shop at the outlet mall. When you walk in you are greeted with the warmth of a fireplace, and a warm smile from the hostess. My husband started out with their beer cheese soup. It is the perfect appetizer. Another stellar experience at D. Michael B's. I met friends here for lunch on a Saturday. I really enjoyed the Delecta-Bowl with shrimp, boom boom sauce, rice, Asian slaw, carrots, tortilla strips, and jalapeños. It's spicy and delicious. My friend mentioned that the food here is on a higher level than typical bar and grill food, with good quality and plenty of options. The service was great; nice and friendly and attentive. I've only been to this restaurant one time and that was specifically to have their Signature Bloody Mary. I stopped in on a Sunday around 11:00am. The restaurant was pretty quiet with only a few tables sat and a few older gentleman at the bar. I say belly up and was immediately greeted with a menu and a request for my drink order. I knew what I wanted so I ordered immediately. Even with all the fixings on the drink it only took about 5 minutes before I got it which I find to be more than responsible. The drink was damn good. The house made mix had a nice body to it and all the fixings were hot/fresh. Bartender was friendly and struck up a conversation as well as the patrons at the bar making the time enjoyable. The restaurant itself is kind of tacky but kind of fun with its up north cabin vibe. I will absolutely be returning to try some of their menu items. The lights called us over to D.Michael B's Resort Bar and Grill We were so hungry after a day of shopping at the outlet mall Albertville Mn.We wandered in around 7 pm and was greeted with a little bit of a wait but warm smiles.The smells coming from the restaurant were enticing.We sat down within 15 minutes and greeted by our waitress Anna.Anna was funny and very knowledgeable about the menu. First time eating here, but I got take out. My husband ordered me a salad with salmon. I wanted it well done, and the glaze sauce. The salmon definitely needed the glaze. There was no seasoning on the fish. The lettuce was kind of withered, so I picked a lot of it as I was eating. My husband had hot wings, and he said they were pretty good. I don't think I've ever ordered ribs at a restaurant but something inside of me was like "today is the day" so I went for it and girrrrrrrl I'd do it again. D. Michael B's was a convenient lunch spot for my friend and I after shopping in Albertville. We didn't know what to expect but we liked the ambience as soon as we walked in. It was very "Minnesota cabin" in there. We were seated quickly and had friendly servers. I wish they were a bit more personable but that's the only area I can really fault them. Like I said, the ribs were bomb (the meat slid right off the bone) and the portion size was very generous for the price. I could've managed with a little less sauce but that's just my personal preference. I could definitely see myself returning for lunch or to catch a football game at the bar. Sunday dining after brunch 2 pm. Amazing service (Thanks Juri!), comfy atmosphere, no wait to be seated. Patio looked inviting the weather was pleasant. We dined inside this time. Best way I can describe this restaurant is like a Chili's of Minnesota. There's lots on the menu but I went for the walleye sandwich, signature house side salad and chicken wild rice soup. The walleye sandwich was delicious but the lettuce was very brown. I had to send my salad back because the lettuce was so brown, soggy and wilted it definitely would've caused food poisoning. When I let the server know that the lettuce was bad she just took the plate from me and took it back to the kitchen, no apology or offer to bring out another. They didn't charge me for it but it didn't leave the best impression. The wild rice soup was pretty good but not the best I've ever had. First time coming here. There was a 30 min wait. Not bad being a Friday night at 5:15. The inside looks clean and a well placed layout. The beer was cold. Outside of that I have nothing good to say!! The service was very very slow. Once seated our server was very slow or was just not paying attention. I would give sympathy as it was very busy. BUT I counted 9 severs and a maximum of 30 tables. It took 15 minutes for my beer to come AFTER my food was delivered. When it did get here she said it was the keg. We were sitting across from the bar. We watched them pour multiple drinks out of the same tap including the beer that was mine. When our food arrived my wife's food was missing the chicken. The only meat on the dish. How do you forget the meat? My kids Mac and cheese was Kraft Mac and cheese. So we paid $$$ for box macaroni. I ordered the steak fajitas. I got no more then a 4 oz of steak. You can get more meat asking for steak and onions with some free tortillas on the side. In the end for the price of the food combined with the service we were given. We've dined in many times before and enjoy the food. This is probably a collective review of the food we've had delivered the past few times. The pastalaya was even better than I remember. Flavors were good, with the sausage and shrimp cooked perfectly. There was a lot of the protein in the dish--not overpowered by just pasta. We also had the usuals--ribs, chicken cordon bleu sandwich with house fries, and poutine. These also traveled well and are up to the standards when we dine in. Ribs were fall off the bone. We went today for lunch. We were seated right away. Which was a good thing We ordered 2 burgers. I got mashed potatoes, my husband got coleslaw. He asked for raw onions on his burger and I asked for no american cheese on mine. Our food comes and he got cooked onions and he asked that to be fixed, and it was....But, the burger was very overcooked. He ate it, and wasn't happy. I got american cheese on mine and asked for that to be fixed. Which my burger was overcooked as well. I did eat my burger, but wasn't happy. I ordered the 57 burger with prime rib shredded on top and to say I was disappointed is an understatement... it literally grossed me out so bad that I literally didn't eat my dinner. It smelt like fish and I kid you not I thought it was cat food in my burger. I even asked my boyfriend to try it to see if it was just me and he said nope that smells like fish... they told me they would get me something else and not charge me for the meal and when the bill came they took off my fish burger but charged me for the other meal... After 3 attempts, I had to write this. The first two times I thought the food was okay but that's about it. We tried to make a reservations at a few other places and they were too busy so my wife said let's grab fast food. I said let's give D. Michael B's another shot since it'd been a busy week and thought it'd be nice to catch up and bond with the kids. She didn't want to but said okay eventually. She was right and made sure to tell me. We were sat and our drink order was placed fairly quickly. After that, our server walked past our table several times, checking all of her other tables, walking past to get to and from the kitchen without a word. After waiting about 10 minutes and she walked past us again, we finally had to get her attention to let her know we were ready to order. She said she would be another minute. We had 2 hungry little ones with us. Most places we go are quick to take food orders, especially for kids because they know you never know how kids will be. Please keep in mind I'm a former server of 5 years and know of the labor shortages. I get it. I'm a very accommodating guy, but that comes with limits. A courtesy "I will be right with you" would have been appreciated rather than not even looking at us the multiple times she walked by. Our food got to the table in a fairly reasonable time after that, but the food was way less quality then the okay quality we've come to expect from here. After that I asked for a beer and before my wife could ask for a drink she walked away. We were about done eating by the time she checked on us. I really don't like leaving bad reviews because as a former server there's only so much you can control, but after three attempts, this will not be a place my family will revisit.
