I like what they stand for. Their sign is much appreciated. Great service and most likely excellent shoes

The customer service here is amazing! My husband is on his feet all day and was in search of a comfortable shoe. A relative recommended SAS shoes, so we decided to give it a shot. These shoes make a world of difference according to my hubby. He swears by them and the constant discomfort in his feet he used to come home with is no longer an issue. You can tell the employees at SAS really care about their customer's feet. During a more recent visit, my hubby tried on a pair of shoes, but they were a little wide. I think most stores would've tried to sell them anyway, just to make a sale, but not SAS. The gentleman helping us admitted that it wouldn't be good for my hubby's feet and recommended a narrow model, which needed to be ordered. I admire and appreciate his honesty. To top it off, the décor is pretty cool. I felt like I was on an episode of American Pickers as they have lots of vintage items on display! I highly recommended SAS if you're looking for a comfortable shoe!!

Great shoes and great service! Amazing selection of comfortable shoes, and so many options for wide feet!

Mother needed some new shoes for work since the ones she bought from Chinatown were uncomfortable. (Uh, you think mom?!) Anyways, dad and I finally dragged her to spend a bill on a pair of shoes that would be worth it and so we took her here since one of my dad's friends recommended it. BEST. SAS. SHOES. STORE. YOU'LL. EVER. FIND.!!! Upon walking in the feel of the store was just ADORABLE. Not sure if that is the correct term to use but to me it was adorable. A lover of all things old/from the past/vintage this store was filled with antiques and furniture/decor including chairs, shelves, a Cracker Jacks machine, Coka Cola Machine (10 cents), natural pop corn (5 cents), water machine, and a few other goodies. GREG, the owner and sales man was super friendly. Upon entering the store he approached us and sat down, measured my mom's feet, helped her tie her shoe laces and gave her a few options to choose from. He was super patient with her and my grinch-y dad. Love him! We received $15 off and a SAS chocolate truffle! (How cute is THAT?!) +I was given free pop corn and assitance to that Coka Cola machine since I had no idea how to retrieve it after putting a dime in, hehe. Love this SAS location/store and will most certainly be recommending everyone to come here. Amazing.. *Goes off to write a poor review for the SAS store on Main St. in Alhambra.*

This employee didn't acknowledge our existence! She didn't even greeted us when we walked in or out of the store!

Manager was aggressive and rude. Felt very uncomfortable, left without buying anything. Wish I could put negative star review.

They cost more than most, but they're made in the USA (SAS stands for San Antonio Shoes), and they are genuine leather.

LOTS OF SHOES, BUT NEVER ANYTHING I REALLY LIKE…read more=========================================== I have been to this store numerous times, but I don't think I've ever purchased anything. The store is jam packed full of shoes, but I just haven't loved anything enough to purchase. Maybe I'll find something I like one of these days. They don't validate your parking unless you buy something.

When I was driving out at the toll machine I was already trapped by a car behind me :( I paid and left... That being said.. As you walk in, looks like it's supposed to be a higher end warehouse shoe store. All the products look great, but the customer service... I tried asking for assistance, but it was hard to find someone and when I did, I felt like I was slightly disturbing their day. At check out, the person there seemed quite dismissive especially when I didn't want to sign up for a member or give any points away. As I finished the sale, I was trying to find my parking receipt and just said out loud my thoughts of, where is my parking ticket, with out even looking up, they said in quite a dismissive way and shaking their head, ' it was the first thing I handed back to you.' There was one person there who was friendly, but it did not equal the rest of my interactions. The products there are fine. Prices seemed reasonable. There was a nice selection, the store looked nice, but the personal experience there... well... when I first walked in and looked around, my expectations were high, but in reality not the best.

Everyone knows kids feet grow every 3- 6 mos or so and my kids toes werent going to survive…read moresticking out of his old sandals. So off to Ken's Shoes we went, in a small square on S Fair Oaks in South Pasadena. I heard this place will accurately do fittings for free, and that the shoes are reasonably priced. We got here around noon, before lunch. The lady tried to put his foot in the metal sizing device but of course my child freaked out. I wanted the most accurate size - so for us to not do the metal foot sizer test was disappointing. The lady eyeballed his foot and gauged for him to be a T10. He might be a 9 but she said shoes should have space in them to avoid the insides rub his toes. I'm like, okay, you're the expert. She has a ton of shoes here. The place has wall to wall shoes / boxes of shoes. The place specializes in children's shoes, and they do have some of the good brands. She offered me some See Kai Run sandals for $25-30 (i forget exactly)- I know that brand is fancy, so that was a good price! Crocs were about $25 (very similar to Amazon generic crocs) but the colors she had in his size were too loud. I ended up declining the Crocs and got the See Kai Run sandals. There were some other similar styles that she didn't offer, and I'm not sure if she was just not keen on pulling out as many options for us to try, but I looked around and pointed at a few things and she obliged and showed them to us after checking that she had them in the kiddo's size. But then we saw that he was settling down with the sandals she first suggested so that's all we ended up buying. She has these little toys around the store for the kids to play with. She had a battery operated Flash on motorcycle that she gave to my son for free. I thought that was mighty sweet of her. Lately, I've been avoiding shopping at big box stores and trying to exist on goods from (and support) small biz. Ken Shoes is definitely a small business that I would not mind supporting. The only issue I have is their extremely limited hours. We're due for another visit soon.
