While I was staying at the hotel across the street, I have noticed this store and always wanted to visit the store. Walked in on a Saturday afternoon just to browse and see what they had. Didn't really have anything in particular on mind. All aisles were nicely organized, stocked according to their items and the store itself was very clean along with the dressing rooms and restrooms. Got a nice welcome from 2 of their employees, security guard, and they were all kind and really wanted to help. They have items from kitchenware, to accessories, stuffed animals, handbags, shoes, clothes for kids, men and women. Also have luggage, outdoor furniture and some indoor furniture. Have swim suits for ladies, kids, juniors, toys, have beautiful decor, art work, beauty supplies and a lot of the items were on sale up to 70%. What more do people want?? Why all the bad, negative reviews?? They had couple of fitting rooms, and gender neutral restrooms. Bought few items: black jacket with thin white stripes, 2 room sprays, a nice art work made of canvas, mustard color jacket, brown Jacket, black and white print, Summer dress, a small saucer/pot, and a short cute Jeans skirt. For all that I only paid $140.00 including tax. Now, I can finally say that I have been to Burlington. It's a lot like Ross, Marshalls, Target, and TJ Max. Really disappointing experience. I was very clear from the start that I only needed one alteration…read moredone before moving and would handle the rest elsewhere. The seamstress Garine was kind and helpful, but another employee Zina was so incredibly rude. She came off very kind in the beginning but she is a very hostile woman who made the entire experience a very sad one for me and it's still on my mind. When I went to pick up my dress, she called me and immediately accused me of being "disrespectful" for not doing all my alterations with them--something that was never stated to me as a clear policy. In person, she continued to speak to me harshly and said I wasted their time and what I did was not acceptable. She said it so many times and so aggressively I started to cry, and only then she felt bad for being so ridiculously harsh. I even offered to apologize to her seamstress who she claims I was wasting her time, to which she then told told me "it's not a big deal" To make it worse, I was quoted $50 but charged $75 with no clear explanation. I did not want to further argue so I paid what was asked. I went in to pick up my wedding dress, an experience every girl wants to remember for the rest of their lives and left feeling upset and honestly in tears. No customer should be treated this way. Would not recommend doing business with someone like her.
