Took them a Saint Laurent black bag that needed some polish And a good clean. Unfortunately, they polished with black straight over the logo and left the bag in a "will stain all clothing" condition. I had to clean it myself and take the bag to another more specialized handbag service shop in phoenix. Would just say that this is not their forte and you should look elsewhere, don't cut corners with luxury items. 2/5. Service is a little rough around the edges. Sometimes, there's no one in the shop and you have to fetch someone from the neighboring dry cleaners. Everyone's been very nice but I do sense that there's not a lot of communication when you drop off your item to what is being requested.

Having just purchased a home in Tucson, my wife and I wanted some furniture reupholstered. We saw…read morethat Chavez Since 67 had good reviews so we met Mr. Chavez on Nov 28, 2025 at his shop to discuss recovering our sofa and love seat.  We selected fabric and paid for it and the labor up front, over $4,700. He insisted on a check made payable to him, which we found suspicious. He said he was quite busy but would do the work in 12-14 weeks, since the fabric had to be ordered from Spain. Later we learned that the good reviews were old and not representative of more recent customer experiences where Chavez was not doing the work he had been paid to do. We learned more about of his delaying tactics in a local Channel 13 news report we found on-line. Since we had heard nothing from him, on Feb 19, 2026 we called Mr. Chavez to ask when he was going to pick up the pieces. He did not answer, and his recording said to send a text rather than leave a message. We then texted him asking if the fabric was in and asking him to call. There was no reply. On Feb 25, 2026 my wife emailed Mr. Chavez, asking when he would pick up the items. He emailed back stating that he was running behind, had only one upholsterer, had been unable to find any good upholsterers, and had lost two experienced men due to immigration issues. He said he would let us know when he could schedule the work. My wife emailed back asking if he had an estimated timeframe. He responded by email, saying he could not give us a timeframe, adding that he and his upholsterer were also recovering from the flu. This is the same excuser he had given earlier customers. For a total of 8 months, his delays, excuses, promises, discount offers and apologies continued. We lost all confidence in him, so we were forced to initiate another grand jury prosecution for fraud. This legal process took weeks, but it finally forced him to refund all our money. We do not recommend Mr. Chavez or Chavez Since 67.

It was delivered after Christmas and it did not fit into the spot that she needed it. Of course she was devastated as she wanted it badly and had already waited 4 months for it. I called to request a refund for the couch and was told since it was a custom order (ad in the paper!). That they would only give her a portion of the full price back. Mind you, we're talking an elderly person on a fixed income who loves supporting LOCAL businesses. The initial payment was 1999.00 and her refund was 1406.77.... so buyer BEWARE.... she bought from Lazy Boy and I'm 100% certain they would not have treated her this way.

We had two recliners, both Ethan Allen. The first, probably about 20 years old, needed fixed and…read morethe second needed to be reupholstered. The time and effort that Sarah put into this project was inspiring. She was so persistent with manufacturers in pursuit of the mechanics of the reclining mechanism, now out of production. She kept us informed all along the process, and was able to locate one part still in existence. We also had her touch up and fix some of the leather that had been scratched. She brought it back to its lovely brown leather. And it reclines! The second recliner, 50 years old, had been beaten up by age, although it worked well. We thought of repairing the piece as is, but chose to reupholster it entirely, as close to the original color and material. Also, we asked that she touch up the pine arms and wings, and add back the necessary details that had been lost. What a magnificent job Sarah and her team did! The photos don't fully describe the experience of having it back to looking like a new recliner. Worth the relatively modest price, since they don't make recliners like this anymore. Highly recommend these folks, especially Sarah J. Although I don't have "before" photos, both of these are "after" the restoration.
