Very happy with the finished product! I needed my side fence extended to accommodate new pool equipment and I wanted an awning to cover the equipment. Another fence contractor said he could only do the fence work. I wanted a turnkey product and not mess with another contractor for the separate work. Based on the final product, doing one without the other would not have worked because of grade, slope and final measurements. Chris at Sasquatch is incredible to work with. He's extremely communicative and just a very honest and trustworthy businessman let alone human. I had him do a small entry metal gate project that other vendors on Yelp said were too small to interest them. Chris gave me an honest bid over email by sending pictures and measurements and then arrived on time. He spent his time on the job, and was honest about some installation considerations that made the job challenging. He made an extra trip to the store to get very specific masonry hardware to improve the strength. I also asked Chris to weld some gate extensions which were beyond the scope of the quoted job, and he said he'd be happy to knock them out for a super lower per-weld price. Regrettably, nightfall came while he was welding and he told me he'd come back later in the week to knock it out. I honestly felt since there was only like $70 worth of welding left, I'd never see him again. He kept me abreast to his schedule via text message and did come back later that week and knocked it out. I spent a lot of time just talking to him about random things because he was so personable. Just a very genuine guy and business. Ultimately, I got my gate which was perfectly what we needed, it was installed with the utmost care and he even knocked out some other gate repairs. Recently, my 20+ year old privacy fence was crumbling. And a short section of it had fallen down. We have chickens, so we have to have a working fence to keep the varmints out. I called Chris because he's helped me out in the past. About 2 years ago, we had some "microblast" or windstorm that was sort of like a mild tornado: no funnel cloud, but the winds hit about 50 mph that weekend. It blew down about 6 panels of our fence. The last guy who rebuilt our fence, back in the early 2000s had used landscaping timbers, the semi-rounded ones instead of 4x4 posts and over time, they'd all rotted through at the bottom, and roughly 25-30' of fence got flattened by the wind. I was dreading being forced to buy all new pickets and rails for the panels, since they were still good, or at least good enough to reuse. I called Sasquatch because the company had a ton of good reviews here on Yelp. It took a while to schedule the job, because like all good contractors, he had a bunch of jobs already line up. But once he got here, Chris and his guys hit it hard and stayed with it until it was done. It took s couple of days, but it was a far bigger job than I could have handled myself. The best thing about his work is his system, where he replaces the rotted wooden fence posts with galvanized round steel posts. These, in turn, have special brackets, like I'd never seen before, shaped specifically to grab the post, but with "wings" spanning out from the center, post-hugging part of he bracket, that attach to the horizontal rails or struts that the individual pickets are nailed to, to create the panels. This method allowed him to salvage the downed panels, and reinstall them in place, avoiding the expense of replacing the entire fence. The team digs out the old, concrete bases where the rotten posts had broken off, and he created a sort of inverted bell-shaped hole into which the new steel posts are set. The end result is that you end up with a better looking set of fence where he's replaced it, than it had looked before. He is reasonable on his bids, too. This latest job involved a downed 6' wide wooden gate, and replacing a yard or so of fence in the rear corner of my yard. But as we discussed it, I soon realized, or he suggested that I could get by with a 4' gate, because I'd never fully used the older, wider gate, and I just needed to be able to drive my riding mower through to the dry creek behind the fence. So we went with a narrower and lighter gate, reducing the tendency for the gate to sag, and eliminating the need for an additional post, in addition to the one it was hanging for. My neighbors gave us permission to tie into their corner post, which saved me the expense of putting in our own new corner-post, within inches of theirs. It is great to work with someone who offers quality workmanship, and doesn't try to upsell you at every step of the job. He provided good, quality materials and labor; gave us an accurate and fair estimate ahead of time, and wasted no time in getting the work done. That, and he is honest and an extremely pleasant person to work with. I couldn't recommend him any more enthusiastically. read more
