I was so glad to find this place and it's way better than any Mediterranean restaurant I've tried in California.The food is amazing! Their meats are tender & cooked perfectly. I have yet to have a bad dish here -- and have some favorites that just won't quit. If the salmon is in it is quite nice, juicy, full flavored, and the rice just screams for a bit of crisp. You guys, I wish I didn't love this place so much. When dining in (or getting take out just for me), I pick the make your own platter, which is $10 and I pick four items from their deli case. I typically pick some combination of tzatziki, hummus, tabbouleh, grape leaves, cabbage salad, black bean salad, orzo salad, or quinoa salad, or their amazing mujaddara. My meat eating husband likes their kabobs and their chicken salads. $10 isn't my cheapest meal, but it's the best value. I tend to get carried away when I order by the pound and walk out poor but happy. I love having Neomonde's sister restaurant (in this case, "brother") nearby. Same quality, friendliness, and efficiency with more space. The parking lot is my only complaint, but a few more steps are better for my health anyway. :) read more

No oversight over hourly chefs who don't care? This was our absolute favorite restaurant in Raleigh for 5 straight years when the cooking was flavorful and consistent by chefs who cared. But for the past 2 years every person in my family has had bad experience after bad experience and now all of us (even the kids) can no longer take the lack of flavor and lack of oversight and we do not plan on coming back at all. How have I missed this place for years?! Holy cow! This place is delicious! The options are so fresh and the staff was very friendly and helpful. I guess I was a bit apprehensive as I don't typically eat at Mediterranean restaurants but this place was outstanding! The staff was helpful to explain what things are and what is recommended/popular. There are SO many options here! Even there are options for the kiddos, which is nice. The ambience is casual and there is plenty of seating (some seating outside too). I have two different salad options, the chicken wrap, and a dessert baklava! I had plenty of leftovers to take home and even 2 days later, the food was still fresh and delicious. Overall, I loved it and will be back! read more

Always delicious. Consistent food and service. The dips like hummus are absolutely amazing. I like the eggplant dip and the cucumber dip too. The kebabs are great. The pizzas, actually I guess they aren't really pizzas but they're like Mediterranean pizzas are delicious. The pita bread is amazing. And the kale salad and the bean salad are two of my favorites. I honestly think I could eat there three times a week for the rest of my life. Another really great thing about Sassool is that their food is great for takeout. Even though we are allowed to eat in restaurants. I am typically more comfortable eating at home. So I saw makes no touch delivery so easy, and the food travels very well. The entree itself was alright, (there's another place in Raleigh whose hummus and falafel I prefer). I would like to point out some fantastic customer service today at Sassool - Raleigh. Some items were left out of my take out order for a dinner I was serving this evening. I called up the manager Manuel and he could tell I was tired and frustrated. It was quite the schlep for me to drive back to the restaurant and make it back in time to my guests. He said "what can I do to make the experience better?" I said the only thing that would make it better would be someone to bring it to me and I know you can't do that. He said "yes, we can," and it was delivered within 30 minutes. They even threw in some free extras like dessert. That is true customer service that we all should emulate. read more

This place is amazing. I'll admit, when we stopped by, I didn't really know anything except that Yelpers loved it. Sassool is owned by the family that owns Neomonde and is like a combination Lebanese deli and market. You can order cafeteria-style from the hot or cold cases, or select from the menu. Everything comes with unlimited freshly baked pita. I had the veggie wrap, baba ghanouj, and tabouli, and I also tried some tzatziki and hummus from my husband's plate. It was all excellent, especially the baba ghanouj. We bought some more to take home, as well as a bag of pita chips, and they gave us even more fresh bread. I can't wait to come back here. read more
