I had a pick three platter. The chicken salad was decent but not as good as Sassool. I also tried their potatoes, which were on the vinegary side. We stopped in to visit and enjoy some Lebanese foods. We have been here a few times and enjoyed our visit but this past weekend our visit was very disappointing. We ordered the grape leaves, baklava, namoora and tabbouli. I am Lebanese and these are staples in our home. The grape leaves were extremely dry and tough. The rice was very undercooked and the leaves themselves were so dry and tough we could barely chew through them. We ordered 12 and thought maybe it was a fluke but all 12 were completely inedible and we threw them out immediately. The baklava was okay, nothing to write home about. Very simple syrup forward and you couldn't taste much else (we ordered the walnut). The namoora was stale. Very dry. Namoora should melt in your mouth with with a slight chew. This was again, tough and stale. We threw those out as well. Lastly, our favorite salad, tabbouli. The lemon taste was nonexistent. The parsley wasn't chopped fine as Tabbouli should be. It was a watery mess. Overall, we won't be back. We spent over $75 on 4 items and left feeling hungry and bamboozled. There are other Lebanese food spots to visit in the Raleigh area, I will stick to those. Please do better when representing Lebanese cuisine. 15 workers behind the counter can seem like you're doing something right but in the end, it all comes down to the freshness and authenticity of what you are claiming to serve. read more

You select from cases of appetizing cold and hot entrees, as well as an array of delectable desserts and a cold case of unique beers and other beverages - the selection is simply amazing. And the service - totally awesome! When we entered, Alex was behind the counter - she was welcoming and offered us tastes of whatever dish caught our eye, all of which were amazing. My main go to order is the pita pocket platter with falafel, grape leaves and chick pea butternut squash. or the salmon kabobs with grape leaves and potatos. I did a to go order, lamb/ beef shawarma with grape leaves and potatos. although it was amazing as usual. I noticed they give you less sides vs when you eat there, it could be the take out box is smaller than the plates. but will probably make time to eat there if i'm being charged the same price. This is a great Lebanese and Mediterranean spot! Parking was easy, but be prepared for a crowd during lunchtime--it was busy, and finding a table after ordering at the counter took some patience. I can only imagine how packed it gets on weekends. One small downside: getting to the restroom is a bit awkward since you have to squeeze through the ordering line. I ordered the salmon special--tender pieces of salmon simmered in a tomato sauce over rice--along with a side of fattoush and hummus. Everything was delicious and comforting. Saturday We were having a celebration of my great nephews 1st birthday, I had ordered a party platter - I went to go pick up at Raleigh location and learned I had inadvertently ordered at the Morrisville location not Raleigh. As I was slumped over in despair and tears, General Manager Chris came over and said "I'll take care of it". What do you mean? "I will go get it at Morrisville and deliver it to your party." I was dumbfounded! He saved our party! the food was outstanding and the customer care this gentleman showed was above and beyond gracious. They usually have a daily special -- looks like it was salmon kebabs last night! They have flatbreads, pita sandwiches and looks like they now offer bowls as well. I love a good bowl! This place is a trip down memory lane for me. I used to visit all the time before I left Raleigh in 2009. My old favorite is still my favorite. I love their sesame seed pita and hummus. Inside was updated at some point, though the line remains the same. It's especially busy at lunch time. The menu has a lot to select from so I'd recommend trying to decide ahead of time or it could just be me that has trouble making up my mind with so many options. My granddaughter suggested Neomonde for a dinner get together and it was great. I had a chicken kabob along with couscous and potato salad - all very tasty. There were quite a few sides to choose from, all freshly made. I topped it off with cinnamon baklava. Yummy! The restaurant also has a wonderful store offering a variety of oils, spices and pastries. I have order pickup, delivery, and I have eaten at the restaurant,. Every time, the restaurant has provided consistent high quality Lebanese food. Everything is light but deeply flavored. There are tons of cold and warm sides and a high selection of meats. The Beryl Road location has a mini market inside filled with Mediterranean goods and ample seating (indoor and outdoor). Eating at Neomonde feels like I am taking care of my body. This occasion I ordered the Chicken Kabob with three sides (chickpea salad, GF tabouli, and mjadarah) and a side of crispy fries with tzatziki. I had a bad experience at the Durham location, so I was given a gift card to use another time at Neomonde. Well, the second time around and my experience remains poor. We ordered a falafel family meal to go and they said it comes with 14 falafel patties. The meal also came with 2 sides, rice, pita and baklava. I paid $65. Neomonde only gave me 12 falafel patties and the portions were extremely small. For $65, you are better off having people order their own meals. It's hardly a family size meal. When I called to ask about my missing 2 falafel patties, they told me "just come back in the future and we'll give you two falafel patties." When I explained to them that it didn't really make sense as I don't know when I would come back, they said there's nothing else that I could do. As they say, fool me once shame on you. I was leaving the state fair nearby hungry, because I didn't want to spend $18 on turkey legs. I found this gem nearby. I was stoked to find a restaurant that fills the sad void left by Mediterranean Deli in Chapel Hill, after it burned down. The cafeteria-style layout and attached store is very reminiscent of Med Deli. They even serve fatayer, which is called a Lebanese name instead. The kebabs were fantastic. I had the cabbage salad and baba ghanoush and devoured it all. They make fresh pita bread, in the restaurant. My wife loved the food as well. Best part, it's right by the Raulston arboretum! We booked Neomonde to cater our wedding reception. From the very beginning, Neomonde made us feel welcome and valued. Saida was generous during the initial meeting and let us try many different options for food. We especially loved the Pomegranate Salad, Chicken Kabobs, and Mjadarah. At times, it was difficult to get in contact with the catering team, and there were some miscommunications during the contract process on what was included and what was not included. We were originally under the impression that plates, dinnerware, napkins, drinks, and cups would all be provided by Neomonde, but this was missed during the contract process. This resulted in a surprise during our wedding reception when our day-of-coordinator realized we didn't have dinner plates or dinnerware. Neomonde was very adaptable though, and sent someone to bring plates and dinnerware immediately. Neomonde ended up bringing a third team member free of charge, but we didn't have enough tips for a third server, and would have liked to know beforehand. The service through the entire wedding reception was stellar, and everyone thought the food was delicious! Our drinks were kept stocked throughout the whole event, cake was cut and served efficiently, and tables were cleared and taken care of. They boxed up all of the remaining food for our friends and family to take home, and cleaned the kitchen. We love Neomonde, and were ultimately very happy with the food! read more

Service: At the food display cases, you can quickly scan all of their offerings and build your meal. Food: We ordered the Chicken Kabob with orzo and chickpea salads, as well as a Neomonde Platter, which came with hummus, baba ghanouj, and tabouli salad. Our meals were fresh and healthy. All of the salads were seasoned well and complemented each other with every bite. We especially liked the baba ghanouj, which was slightly chunky yet smooth. The pita pocket served as a chewy, light vessel to carry a piece of protein and side. We also got a Baklava, which was a bit sweet for our taste, but nevertheless a great dessert to end our meal. Overall: Neomonde is a local favorite for a good reason. Its healthy menu options, friendly service, and great variety of sides make it a great place to satisfy a Mediterranean craving.
