Vegetable lasagna with kale salad and beet salad
    Kellie D.

This place is a Raleigh classic. I can't believe I've never reviewed it. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Last night I went with the vegetable lasagna. It's gluten free and vegetarian and packed with flavor. For my two sides I ordered kale salad and beet salad. The pick 3 or pick 4 options are always a great bet. They usually have a daily special -- looks like it was salmon kebabs last night! They have flatbreads, pita sandwiches and looks like they now offer bowls as well. I love a good bowl! While waiting to pay you have to pass a plethora of delicious looking desserts including a wide variety of gluten free from J. P.s. It's hidden on the end of Beryl road but definitely worth finding!

    Veggie Lasagna - so good!

Food was very good, and love that you can see and pick what food you want from the glass case. We got a couple dishes, including: -Veggie lasagna with 2 sides $12.99 (taboulleh, ratatouille) 5/5 so delicious and filling - 4 sides platter $12.99 (chicken salad, chickpea with tahini, taboulleh and baba ganoush) - comes with two wheat pitas if you ask 4/5 tasty sides, especially baba ganoush, but didn't love the chicken salad - Zaa'tar deluxe pizza $7.59 3/5 - OK dish - Baklava (pistachio) and ladyfinger ($1.49 each) 5/5 this is where they really excel Service was decent, the girl helping to scoop the food was friendly and attentive, but we had to wait a while for the cashier to finish chatting to ring us up. Ambiance is okay, didn't seem the cleanest, so getting to-go is preferred. Overall, a great choice for middle eastern food in Raleigh.

This place is a trip down memory lane for me. I used to visit all the time before I left Raleigh in 2009. My old favorite is still my favorite. I love their sesame seed pita and hummus. Inside was updated at some point, though the line remains the same. It's especially busy at lunch time. Most recently I got a platter and the stand outs were the stuffed grape leaves and the beet salad. I could survive for weeks on end with just that hummus!

Neomonde is a great option for Mediterranean food. The prices are reasonable and the food is delicious and on the healthier side. I'd dine there more often if it were closer to me. I like that you can dine in with inside or outside seating or order to go. You just make your way through the line and order as you go. If the food needs to be cooked the order will take a little longer. The menu has a lot to select from so I'd recommend trying to decide ahead of time or it could just be me that has trouble making up my mind with so many options. I usually get a kabob platter and change up the sides. There is a small grocery store inside too that is well stocked.

This restaurant is incredible and I highly recommend. You order the food in a cafeteria style progression. Lots of lamb and Mediterranean Middle East type entrees and sides. Hummus is outstanding. Alway a nice disposition and smile from every one that works here. Great service. The restaurant includes a market and has a decoy that make you feel like your on the Mediterranean Sea. There is a very nice patio available for outdoor dining.,

Literally everything is delicious! Ingredients are fresh and minimally processed. I have been dining at this location for at least 7 years. I have order pickup, delivery, and I have eaten at the restaurant,. Every time, the restaurant has provided consistent high quality Lebanese food. Everything is light but deeply flavored. There are tons of cold and warm sides and a high selection of meats. The Beryl Road location has a mini market inside filled with Mediterranean goods and ample seating (indoor and outdoor). Eating at Neomonde feels like I am taking care of my body. This occasion I ordered the Chicken Kabob with three sides (chickpea salad, GF tabouli, and mjadarah) and a side of crispy fries with tzatziki. The portion sizes are large so I ate half of the meal for lunch and the other half for dinner.

I was in the mood for Mediterranean food and I couldn't resist coming here to see what the hype was about. Immediately I knew. There are so many options.. so many sides! Everything looked flavorful and delicious making it really hard to decide. The staff was super helpful and patient as they waited for me to order. There is a well stocked market inside too, featuring spices, canned goods, dry ingredients, meats, cheeses, you name it! The bread is baked in a clay oven.. yum. I had the salmon kabob plate with cilantro jalapeño hummus, potato salad and tabouli as sides. I also had a pita pocket on the side. They have a wide variety of pastries and desserts as well, including baklava of course. I had the pistachio baklava and another pastry with pecan I think. Anyway, I enjoyed them and they were cut small enough so as not to be overwhelming. Everything here was super fresh and it didn't feel heavy, which I loved. We dined in, and watched as people steadily entered to order and left. It's very popular, and at my home airport I saw someone pushing a cart with boxes of Neomonde pastries just this weekend! I understand what the hype is about.

Tasty, fast, appropriately priced. Since many items are pre-prepared it's not always flexible or customizable.

NeoMonde is a solid favorite for Mediterranean food. I always order the pick-4 plate: chicken salad, tabouli, baba ganoush, and tasziki.

I've practically followed this place across states and cities. I discovered Aladdin's years ago when I lived in Northern Virginia. After that first visit, I was hooked and started going several times a year. When the Shirlington location closed, they reopened in Burke, and that became my new go‑to spot every time I visited the area. And then, heartbreak , they closed that location too. One day I randomly searched to see if they had opened anywhere else, and you won't believe it... they popped up right here in North Carolina, the same state I now live in! And while it's not in Charlotte, my brother lives in Raleigh, which means every trip to see him doubles as an excuse to visit Aladdin's. My usual order is the shawarma rolled, and trust me when I say it's the best! The savory, flavorful meat paired with those pickled veggies, plus all the heavenly spices and sauces, well t's just perfect! I've had shawarma at countless places over the years, and nothing even comes close to theirs. I typically grab an appetizer as well, dolmas or falafel. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Every dish I've tried has been spectacular. Introduced my brother and wife to this place, and they've already been back! To give you an idea of how deep my love for this place goes, the last time I visited I ordered 4 extra shawarma rolls to go, froze them, and rationed them out at home. They don't hold up perfectly after being frozen but I did still enjoy every single one. Aladdin's will always be one of those rare restaurants that I go out of my way to visit and I'll continue to stop by as often as I possibly can. If you love Mediterranean flavors (Lebanese) this spot is a must!!!

I usually order the two chicken skewer kabobs with rice, a super salad, and the jalapeño cilantro hummus. The hummus is *so* good that I often grab a small container to take with me when I travel. They offer both fresh pita and gluten-free pita, which is great for anyone with dietary restrictions. Honestly, I could make a meal just out of all the sides--they're that good. The menu is consistently solid, and I feel like you really can't go wrong with anything you order. It's a perfect spot for a low-key lunch or dinner. His service was greatly appreciated as all of us wanted to make it somewhere to watch The Canes game! He was efficient with opening the wine and getting our dinner orders in right away. Thank you Diondre for a great start to our evening. All of us raved over our food. Two of our friends had the Tomahawk Pork Chop featuring spinach, barrel-aged feta, herb aioli, and yummy Greek lemon potatoes. Both people agreed the kitchen team cooked them perfectly. One person absolutely loved his fire-roasted lamb chops that also had the delicious Greek lemon potatoes. Another one of our friends loved her Chicken penne Mykonos which we have ordered to-go many times. It looks even better in the restaurant as it has spinach, feta, mushrooms, tomatoes, white wine lemon cream sauce, and parmesan. This dish is a must try when you visit Taverna Agora in downtown Raleigh. Lastly, someone at the table exclaimed that their grilled salmon was one of the best salmon dishes he had ever enjoyed as its unique presentation features pickled beetroot, sautéed spinach, and a lemon caper sauce. I had the Poseidon Branzino which was fabulous. The dish had roasted branzino, medley of sautéed cherry tomatoes and onions, fresh herb rice, and skordalia (I had to look up what that is - a fascinating Greek garlic puree). The blending of all those flavors made for a scrumptious dinner, and thanks to the kitchen team for preparing it perfectly so that I could even eat the skin of the fish. We shared two bottles of Assyrtiko wine which is one of our favorite Greek wines after visiting Greece a few years ago. The wine list at Taverna is simple but thorough and fun to experiment with. Great job Taverna Team!

Walking in you'll feel like you've been transported to a village like, Greek atmosphere. To sit down you'll check in with the host and then be seated either inside or on the rooftop. We opted for the rooftop as it was a nice evening. To start I ordered the Baklava Old Fashioned (Bulleit bourbon, homemade baklava syrup, Angostura bitters, and Amarena cherries) which was amazing. Next we ordered the trio of all three spreads (Tzatziki, sun-dried tomato hummus, and spicy feta spread) and the calamari. Both dishes were excellent and I definitely prefer the spicy feta and tzatziki sauce. For my main course I ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop (Chargrilled tomahawk chop, spinach, barrel-aged feta, herb aioli, Greek lemon potatoes) which was a bit disappointing. I probably should have sent the pork chop back as it was cooked well done and was very dry but was I was too hungry and didn't want to make my parents wait. For dessert I ordered Baklava Cheesecake (New York-style cheesecake with nuts and baklava filling) which was very nice and my mom ordered the Limoncello cake (lemon cake with lemon cream frosting) which was definitely the star of the show. If I'm back downtown I may try Taverna Agora again but will definitely avoid ordering the pork chop.
