My first visit to Bosphorus was excellent, and I'll definitely be back. We had ordered the Chicken Adana Kebab and the Grilled Halloumi Cheese Plate, and both were outstanding. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and grilled just right with a delicious smoky flavor. The halloumi was served warm with a beautiful golden crust while staying soft and flavorful inside. It made for a great appetizer. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and perfect for a relaxed meal. If you're looking for authentic Turkish flavors made with care, Bosphorus is well worth a visit. I'm already looking forward to trying more of the menu next time. read more

We have been to Bosphorus a few times and love it! If you're looking for somewhere fancy and upscale, this isn't that. If you want something that feels authentic and are willing to overlook some small cosmetic/ambience nuances for great food, this is your spot. The food is delicious and consistent every time! We usually get the grilled chicken kabobs which are always so juicy! I also love the cheese cigarras (can't remember how to spell). They give you complementary bread which is also delicious. I recently ate at Bosphorous and overall it was a decent experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was really good. The chicken shish kabob and lamb kabob were both flavorful and cooked well. Those were definitely the highlights of the meal. The disappointing part was that they were already out of the Doner plate by 2:30 p.m., even though we came for dinner service. It was frustrating because that's one of the main dishes people go there for. What really stopped me from giving this place a higher rating was the condition of the men's bathroom. It was pretty gross, with visible mold and a wet towel on the floor that looked like it was there because of a leaking toilet. A lot of people say the bathroom reflects how clean the restaurant is overall, and honestly that crossed my mind while eating there. I saw this restaurant and realized I've never had authentic Turkish food so I had to come in and visit. The staff was pretty nice overall. They greeted us when we walked in and kept checking on us throughout the meal. The only issue I had was with the food. My girlfriend ordered a pepperoni pie and I ordered a pastrami pide. When I heard him repeat the order I told him that I got a pastrami pide. Of course when the food showed up, we were both given pepperoni pides. I called the server over and told him and he confirmed that it's what I ordered. I assumed maybe pepperoni looks similar to pastrami in Turkey (I couldn't know any better). However when I got the check it was clearly written that we were given 2 pepperoni pides. I'm assuming it's because of the language barrier, but I wish they tried harder to understand what I was saying instead of shaking their head yes to confirm and walking away each interaction. The food was really good though! While not what I wanted, the pepperoni pide was still good. I really enjoyed the complimentary Turkish tea as well. It's pretty much a really strong black tea. The hummus was good and tasted homemade, but wasn't anything too special. The olive oil looked better than it tasted, but still paired well with the bread (which was actually the most underrated part of the meal). read more

Come within 2 hours of opening on a Sat/Sun for doner. Get the doner wrap or iskender (if you eat a lot). It is the best doner around, just as good as what you get in Istanbul. They do run out of doner before dinner. The place is full at lunch, so come early. Delicious bread with a nice olive oil-based sauce is complimentary. They refill it, which is a very nice touch. Absolutely incredible flavors from the heart of Turkey. We walked in at 3:15 pm on a Thursday afternoon for an early dinner before we went to the Chinese Lantern event, We were greeted warmly by the host and seated at a comfortable table. Our server was so gracious and brought us delicious warm bread and a dipping sauce that exceeded all others. Our order was placed and we loved the shrimp appetizer and lamb grilled entree. Came here for a date night with my wife. The restaurant was clean, vibes were chill, and the service was excellent. The complimentary oil and bread was delicious. Our server topped us off for free. I had the lamb kebab and my wife had the beyti. Our meals were delicious. The meat was tender and well seasoned. Well were there for a quick Friday dinner with our daughter. It was our second time so we knew what to expect. There was wait although we were early. The space is a little congested and there is no space for waiting specially in winters. We were served with their famous freshly baked and very satisfying pita bread with a red sauce. We ordered, their appetizer called Ezmi, it was a bunch of veggies grated and mixed and tasted pretty okay, not worth $10, considering the portion. For main course chicken Doner kabab and chicken sheesh kabab. Chicken doner kabab, was the ground chicken kabab which tasted great with their pilaf( rice), salad and a Mediterranean sause. Really good food and the establishment is clean. The only issue I have is with service. Everytime I come in, it seems that people shmooz with the host and they skip people in order. Either they are friends of the owner or friends with whomever is at the stand. I've noticed that and have had to speak up because I can tell people are skipping line for a table. read more

We have been coming her for over 12 years. It is the best Turkish restaurant in the area. They offer so many fresh and healthy options for all palettes. Plenty of vegetarian as well as meat dishes. I stopped in here for lunch the other day because I was craving some delicious Turkish food. This place has been on my radar for some time now and I'm happy I finally tried it. I was seated in a booth and was brought complimentary hot tea and fresh hot bread with a tomato oil dipping sauce. Both were delicious. For my entree I ordered the Chicken kabob with rice and salad. I have dined here a number of times and ordered food to go as well. This was my first weekend experience. That being said, this time was a completely different experience. As a single diner I was seated in a corner. I was ignored while people seated after me were given cordial table service. Then my order was taken. Within 5 minutes my main course was placed in front of me. Lukewarm and a total disappointment. Next my appetizer arrived and I definitely enjoyed the soup. Whilst I was having my soup the bread finally arrived. This was the first time I chose to dine in as a solo diner and given how things went today I can say it was my last meal there. Some of the best Turkish/Mediterranean food I've ever had is at Bosphorus. After almost a year of passing you by, I decided to stop by. I was warmly welcomed by all of the staff members. It was lunchtime and busy, but I did not mind waiting and was given a table that was meant for four. I offered to move, but the waiter would not hear anything of it. I was able to chill, read, and enjoy my food without any problems. Now the food. I started with their hummus that came with this thick, crusted bread that was great for dipping. Also, a plate of oil and peppers was complimentary. The hummus had tons of flavor without being spicy or salty--just so darn good. My falafel plate was the same--full of flavor without being overpowering. It came with five pieces of falafel, salad, yogurt dip, and rice. The rice was super soft and fluffy, and the yogurt dip, wow, again, so good and authentic! I enjoyed every bite until my pants told me I could eat no more, but something tells me their food will make amazing leftovers. I love the vibe of this place with the owners and staff being so friendly and welcoming. Everyone smiled at me, and I appreciated their great customer service and care. My daughter had the cheese pies (Turkish pizza) and that was amazing. I ordered the mixed grilled plate because it allows me to try several meat options. Chicken, lamb, gyro and kofta.
