The nail techs are nice but the girl in the front is so rude. Im not sure what to think, im still in shock . She is supposed to be the face of the place and instead was unwelcoming, one word mhhmm answers, just over all nasty attitude, and irritated... you could tell she doesn't even want to be there or serve anyone. Not impressed and not going back. #1 I had an appointment at 10 but they didn't take us until past 10:15. The lady cut my cuticle and bled. My toe got messed up with the nail polish and instead of removing it and repainting she just did it over. Lazy! My daughter's nails turned out thick with gel and her toe peeled off with less than 24hours. Paid a lot! Me and my 3 daughters. 3 manis and 3 pedis. Also, around noon they started heating up nasty food, that smelled throughout the salon. Not to mention that they are so loud and speaking in their language the whole time and laughing. You can't help but to wonder if they are talking about you? A customer should never fee this way. Highly unprofessional. Never going back. Went in last week to get a new set. I normally go to Lena who is wonderful but she was booked up. Had the lady at the first seat closest to door, she cut my nails too short and when i politely asked her to build out the acrylic to make it longer because Lena normally will, she told me no and that it was "too much work". As if I'm not paying her. She proceeded to half ass my nails and mid set get up and do someone else's pedicure for 40 MINUTES. I was extremely upset. Do not go here if you want your experience to be good and most of all don't go to her. I came here a total of 2 times before coming back for my last gel manicure today. I had acrylics that needed to be removed and wanted to get a gel manicure and convert back to my natural nails. I sit down and the lady insists I get a fill instead. I kindly say, "no thanks I want them off," and she looks at me annoyed and continues to take my acrylic nails off. She begins to pry them off with some tool and it was painful. She sighs and is visibly annoyed and then blames the nails being done with the wrong glue last time and making it harder for her to remove. I told her I didn't know what glue was used but I got them done here. Suddenly her tone changes. Fast forward to 45 minutes of painful prying of fake nail of my natural nail, another lady comes up and tells her to soak in acetone. We finally get though the soaking and she can take the nails of easier. At this point we are an hour and 15 minutes into the appointment so she rushes completely through my nails and they turned out terrible. She knew they looked terrible too, I could see it in her eyes. At the very end she blamed it on how "thin my nails were!" I was so ready to leave after an hour and a half of pain and misery so I quickly paid and left. I am beyond annoyed at the fact that I wasted my time and paid $65 dollars for the nails I got today. They are splotchy, bumpy, lazily done, not even like there was no effort from the nail lady. I am pretty sure her name was Susan. This is a rip off. I am not one to get upset at nail salons or write reviews like this but I feel it's necessary because I am super upset with the quality of my nails and the service I received today from Sassy Nails. I will NEVER go back and I will be very vocal with how I feel if anyone asks about the salon that I know. I am so upset that I sat in my car in 90 degree heat in the parking lot of the salon just to write this review before I left. I do not recommend. Stay away from this place. read more

Went for gel manicure and pedicure. I had been waiting for my nails to grow out so I could get gel and have the length for awhile. The Girl asked if I wanted the cut the length, I said no and they didn't need to be even with the broken pinky nail. She proceeded to cut them all the way down to nothing. She asked if I wanted square... I said square round. She cut them to straight across with zero shaping. I stop her before she starts putting the gel on and ask her to actually finish the shaping.. "I do later." She put the first gel coat.... I asked again to have shape fixed because half of my nails have a u shape to them because of her chopping them off with no shape. " I do later"... She then gets to the white tip part ... draws a white line straight across my nail with zero curve to the white tip. I stop her again and tell her I want the shape fixed and the white to curve... "I can't do it now, the dust with her in the gel and ruin it." I ask her very nicely "Please just remove the gel and I'm going to skip finishing the manicure".. she tells me $30 because she cut my cuticles for me. I tell her point blank no, I'm not paying, you ruined my nails. She brings over the manager lady who took one look at my nails, said absolutely NOTHING to me before turning around and returning to her seat and her phone. the girl barely removes the gel with the nail file... sprays alcohol on them and walks away. I've been going there for the past year, not really paying attention tbh. They do an ok job & they're never busy, so it's convenient. But this last time I went I noticed so many sanitation issues. I was getting a pedi & the lady was using files with different color polishes all over it. (These are not supposed to be reused because of nail fungus!) She was sharing an electric drill with another person, both using the same filing bits without any sanitation between customers! They shared nail clippers, cuticle pushers, everything between me & another customer with zero sanitation!Even the cup holders on the pedi chairs & the laminated "menus" are nasty dirty. We visited today for two sets of nails and a pedicure. One set of nails was beautiful and my pedicure was heavenly. My other daughter's were horrible. When we walked out I noticed four of her cuticles were bloody. One very deeply. And her fingers were stained black on the fingers where she did the black gel. I can't believe any nail salon would let someone leave with their nails looking this bad and with so many cuts. And as a mom they didn't even say anything to me. We asked for a half refund on her set and they would only offer a $20 gift card to come back at another time. We declined their offer and won't be back. I went there for a mani pedi on Wednesday. And the girl who did my nails just took my hand with the cuticle tremors and went very fast over my cuticles. After only having my fingers in the water for a moment. She nipped me not once but twice. She was chattering very fast at another worker and seemed like she wasn't paying attention. After the first time I asked her specifically" slow down". She kind of giggled a little bit and went on working very fast and chattering very fast to the other co-worker. I don't care what language you're speaking but it seems like she wasn't paying attention at all. Now it is 3 days later and my finger is red and swollen and really hurts every time I bump it. I hate leaving bad reviews but this experience was terrible. I made an appointment for a 12:30 gel mani/gel pedi because I had a holiday party this evening. I got into a chair pretty quickly and the girl that was setting up the pedi chair asked what color I was choosing. I chose a dark wine color for both my nails and toes. A woman came over and I soon realized they were going to do both nails and toes at the same time. She suggested dip powder and told me she could match colors with my gel polish on my toes and it wouldn't be an issue. Ten minutes in she realized she had grabbed the wrong color completely. I had a bright pink raspberry color on my hands and she looked at me kinda surprised. Do you want me to change it? Ummm, yes. That's the wrong color completely. Twenty minutes in and she is finished with my hands. No trimming of my cuticles. Hardly any sculpting. Every single mail is crooked and it looks like my 14 year old painted my nails. I was so shocked she left my nails the way she did. To say they were messy was an understatement. At the end I finally asked the woman finishing my toes what I needed to do to take them off completely. She sat in silence and didn't know how to answer me. They they pressured me to stay and let them take them off. At that point I just wanted to leave. They then had another nail technician named Trish came over and asked if I could come back and she could fix them. I felt terrible and pressured and l I paid in full and left. I haven't been to this location in a year. I was greeted well upon walk in. I did the classic pedi for $50 and let them up charge (talk me into getting dip) for my manicure. That was fine because dip holds up well. When it was time to pay she told me $130 dollars. I was shocked. I did not get the full set just dip over my nails pink and white were $55. My total should have only been $105. I paid and left. Never again will I step foot in there. They straight up scammed me. That in its self is very disappointing. They do a good nail. 2 starts only because of the nice environment. It was clean and well put together. My specific nail tech was another story. My cuticles were drilled to death, which I've never had done before. I'm still recovering. I was cut during my pedicure. The clear coat was all over my skin causing me to pull my skin away from the gel. Every single nail was stuck to the skin. I was told to stop moving multiple times when I turned my head to talk to my friend. During my pedicure my foot opposite of the one she was working on was pushed away multiple times, mind you I was wearing a skirt, wasn't trying to spread my legs. She seemed very annoyed with me although I was very kind and in my opinion doing nothing wrong. Cost was much higher than I'm used to and the quality definitely did not compare. Only came because a friend suggested it. I will be sticking to my local rocklin salon. Should have read reviews before agreeing to come here.. yikes read more

I feel bad giving local places bad reviews and try to avoid it. This place has a few things going against it though. It is disappointing since the location is so great... - Pretty sure my toe is getting infected. I had an infected toe years ago which is why I stopped giving myself pedicures. I've never gotten an infection from going to a professional place in my many years of going to nail salons so that sucks. - The TVs just play a five minute commercial on loop of stuff the salon sells. I'm really introverted and like watching TV while getting my nails done. It's fun seeing what salons have on. Paternity court, house flipping shows, American idol, the news, etc. Nothing personal to nail salon ladies but I'm not as into awkward conversations especially with a bit of language barrier. Not having something to watch while I don't have access to my hands/phone really kills the experience. It's like a solid awkward 30 minute block of boredom for me the TV alone makes it so I probably won't come back. - When you walk in there's a portal that has you sign in. You have to provide your phone number and it gets you signed up for something. It makes sense if there's a wait to know if you're next in line that's probably a good system, but I can't help but feel like I'm going to receive spam texts now. So far I've just gotten one asking to review the salon so maybe that's not fair, I'm just not comfortable giving out my number to some mystery system. - The owner (I think she's the owner? Argentinian woman. I just know her heritage because she was discussing it with some women) cares a lot. She was checking everyone's work and asked how everything was. I think she's enthusiastic and trying very hard which makes me feel more guilty for writing this but she also seems a bit overbearing to her employees. I guess one of her employees gave me a toe infection so maybe she feels they need to be watched that closely, it just creates a weird vibe. - They don't do eyebrow waxing. That threw me off. I didn't really have time to go to a bunch of different places so I probably won't be back because of that too. read more

What I love: the modern vibe of this place, the amount of colors offered, the amount of technicians working, the layout and the spa music they play. I have bopped around nail places a lot and have come here consistently for a year because it's that good! They did my nails for my wedding too, and they were flawless. My only small level-up was one time I booked an appointment close to closing time and had to wait until after walk-ins to get seated. It was about a half hour wait, and I showed up right on time. I first off want to say I normally leave happy and should leave some positive reviews, but this is absolutely horrible. I need to remember to book Ruby only. This lady, I believe her name is gusta, cut every single one of my cuticles with her file, they're all miss-shaped and her recommendations were to pay for a collagen treatment because my cuticles are dry. I've never had an issue in the past. I've always paid for a service, but should have not been asked to pay for these and she still fully charged me even though they look horrible and now are all cut and burning. She makes me never want to go back here. I usually pay 135$ for gel toes and dip nails and leave a 30% tip, which is already so expensive and to leave like this is not okay. They were then bothered because I didn't tip her and in my opinion they should have either fixed them or not charged me for a full service. So disappointed. **donna I believe her name is, did an amazing pedicure. So sweet, really took her time, made sure everything looked nice and spent time with her massage (thank you for giving me a great pedicure) **day after my nails are so painful from all the cuts, anytime water or anything touches it it burns (last picture). No worries, I left and called back for a return appt with my 5 year old granddaughter & daughter who also wanted to get their nails painted. Well here I was again, waiting finally I'm called to sit in the chair. The gal in charge told the nail tech to tell me to wait and they'd get us in together. No that was not the issue, they asked another customer to sit where I was as she was waiting as well. For one, why didn't they tell me on the phone they were too busy? My time is precious as well. I'm just not that impressed. This salon has an amazing location on Commons Drive in Rocklin but is lacking in other areas. I called at 4pm on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving to get an appointment for 2 gel manicures at 530. They said YES. We are in!! Upon entering, the salon is gorgeous and the music is hypnotic. No TV which was refreshing. Amanda T and I were seated next to each other after we finally picked our colors for polish. They do have a TON of options for colors. My nail tech, James, was awfully nice but fumbled a lot and had my hands under the UV light even with no polish. I had to remind him to soak my hands. The massage was I'M NOT JOKING...30 SECONDS. I do have to say, the shape of my nails were executed perfectly but there were jagged edges...let's see how long this gel mani lasts....that's the true test. To be continued.... read more

I made an appt for two pedicures at 230, we show up and wait about 10 minutes to get into a pedi chair, they didn't start our pedicures until 3:10! Luckily I didn't have any other plans for the afternoon but this is the second time I've gone here recently and made an appt only to wait 30 minutes or more past my booked appt time. There were numerous people who tried to walk in for services and the employees simply said were busy right now come back later while just telling them an hour or so. It's poorly managed and whenever they're busy and behind they rush through your services. I've given them a couple chances but I will not be going back here anymore . What's the point of making an appointment if it's not honored? It's infuriating. read more

I really don't like giving bad reviews. But this is the third time I have had my nails done here and it has been horrible. There were a handful times that it's been fine but the last two times just got worse and worse. Its my fault for going back thinking it would be different. Two weeks ago I had a g pedicure done and it chipped within three days. It look like a blind person painted my toenails. I didn't want to complain I never went back in to have it fixed. This last time i had my nails done with the nail dip process and it was probably the worst job thus far. I'm not super picky and like I said, I really dislike giving bad reviews but take a look at the pictures below. When having my nails done at this place before they typically soak your nails and do your cuticles and shape them etc. was none of that. She went straight into using the Dremel on my nails. After she said she was done there was no lotion or hand massage like they're normally is. She just asked for payment. She's just straight did my nails and left a residue, glue and color all over them. My left thumb is completely glued to the skin. At this point.... I will never return to this place. I have been coming here for years (since they opened), and recently the quality of service has gotten so bad. I went to get a gel manicure yesterday with a friend and the 2 ladies who did our nails were very rude to us. The one doing my nails started nice but asked repeatedly if I wanted a pedicure (I was wearing tennis shoes so it was just to make some more $) and I had to keep saying no. She seemed very annoyed at that and was very short with me for the rest of the time. She was pushing and pulling my hand around roughly while she did the manicure. At the end of the manicure I noticed there was some nail polish that had gotten on my hand. She was in the process of putting away the alcohol, so I asked if she could just wipe it off really quickly, but instead of using the alcohol she took a nail file to my hand to get it off instead. It was like someone taking sandpaper to my skin and it was left all red and raw. My manicure wasn't even done well, the edges were left sharp and the tips didn't get filed so they felt uneven. I had to go home and fix it. The girl who worked with my friend cut her a few times and when she pulled away on instinct the lady rolled her eyes and sighed grabbing her hand back. She proceeded to cut her 2 more times. I also felt very bad for a random girl who walked in and was asking about the prices of their services which they seemed annoyed about. She had decided on doing a dip manicure and they shoved a color book in her hands and after like 30 seconds a different lady walked up and asked if she had chosen a color. She said not yet since she was trying to match a dress for a wedding and the lady actually scoffed and rolled her eyes before walking away. After years and years of coming here, my friend and I won't be returning simply because we'd prefer not to get bullied while getting a mediocre manicure. read more
