The salon is spotlessly clean, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I had Kayla today as my manicurist, and she was absolutely fantastic. She took her time, listened to exactly what I wanted, and made sure my nails were perfect. It was clear that she cared about giving me the best experience possible. Another manicurist Kim even stepped in to give her advice and support to make sure they achieved what I wanted. The price was well worth the quality and attention to detail I got. I often take in a Pinterest photo and they are always close to exactly replicating or making a better design. I have never been here before but after reading some good reviews, I decided to come in last minute to get my nails done on my way to work. I told them I only had like 45 minutes. The were super efficient and got me out on time while dealing with other customers. The gentleman doing my nails was super helpful and helped me pick out the color I wanted. This place is very clean and the staff are very nice. However, the technician that did my pedicure cut two toes when trimming my cuticles. The polish was unevenly distributed on my toes and a little clumpy. I asked if this could be corrected multiple times but it never got fixed, could be just have been a miscommunication between the tech and I. I've been coming to Glossy Nails for almost 2 years, but I will probably never return. I wanted my acrylics removed, which I expected would be done with acetone. Not a drop of acetone was used. Instead, she cut the ends of my nails (wasting all my beautiful growth underneath) and used another nail tip to pry the acrylic off my nail. It hurt like heck, my nails are completed wrecked and will take months to grow out. She also pulled off one nail that was stuck to my skin (they applied these acrylics, btw) and I bled. After that, she used super glue to glue 3 of my paper thin nails back together before covering them with gel. The gel looks ok, even though the shapes are completely uneven. Do not get your acrylics removed here if you care about your natural nail at all. read more

I would give them 5 stars for their work, but I removed 2 stars because it's a giant pain to get my nails done there due to their cash only policy. The salon is clean, and they do a consistently good job, however, I end up having to go to an ATM and pay a fee because I bank at a credit union that isn't local, and I absolutely despise carrying cash. At the very least take Venmo or Apple Pay, as this is a very inconvenient policy for your customers. read more

Stopped in because of all the good reviews to get dipping powder on my nails but that same evening 2 of them chipped! I've never had this happen with dipping powder before so I went back and they fixed them free of charge... later the same day I had nails chip AGAIN. Sooo......I have to admit before actually getting my first mani-pedi, I was totally against it. I mean, C'mon, I'm a dude and dudes don't get mani-pedi's. Now, after sitting back in that massage chair and getting my feet and hands manicured and massaged and feeling how relaxing it felt, I now feel like I have missed out all these years. This has been my wife's best kept secret....until I got that gift card...lol. They even massage your calves!!!! So Glossy Nails is a nice establishment. The air smells clean and the interior and surfaces are very clean. After each customer they wipe everything down clean and each chair has a mini plastic see through wall which separates the customer from the manicurist. The business also requires each customer to wear a face mask. The staff is very friendly and conversational and if you're not talkative, they are fine with letting you relax as well. Now I'm no expert on mani-pedi's, but for a working guy, they sure do feel awesome and relaxing. On top of of making my ugly feet look pretty, the staff massages your feet and calves. CAN I GET AN AMEN about the calf massage?!! I'm sure there are a lot of places you can get a mani-pedi, and like I said, I'm no expert in this area, but Glossy Nails provided great customer service, the business was clean and inviting and the actual services met my expectations. I'VE FINALLY FOUND A GOOD NAIL SALON! I just moved to Rocklin about 6 months ago, and I got my nails done once in Roseville since moving here from the Bay Area , and while my experience wasn't awful, it wasn't as good as my experience at Glossy Nails. I had an appointment on a Monday at 5:15pm (by the way when I called , a very polite man answered and was very easy going and quickly set me up with a same day appointment ). I had to come right after work , but to my surprise I got there early . Parking is easy, locating the shop was easy as well. As soon as I walked in I immediately felt relaxed . They have a huge fountain on the left hand side and the shop is set up to where you aren't in front of a bunch of people watching you. I have social anxiety so it was nice to feel like I wasn't being stared at lol Kim did my nails , she is so cute ! She's super sweet and listened carefully to what I wanted done . She even made a color recommendation, because they have so many pretty colors and I couldn't choose ! Which isn't a bad thing at all. I got a full set (manicure) with gel , and it was only $45 ! Not a bad price at all! She took her time on my nails , which relaxed me even more . When she was done she put this soothing rose oil on my nails and it made my hands feel so smooth ! This is my first time here so I didn't know what to expect, but I loved how clean the facility was, the interior design of the salon was very pretty and relaxing. The massage chairs used for pedicures were clean and comfy and they seem like they were new. The owner at the front, Bow, is very nice and welcoming. He started my massage chair, got me a complimentary water bottle and made sure I was comfortable. My nails turned out great! Jane did a wonderful job. I've been to multiple nail salons in the Rocklin/ Roseville area and this is now my new favorite. Overall, it was a pleasant experience from the relaxing music to the generosity of the workers. Very clean place and there are many options for designs and colors. I recommend making an appointment prior, I was able to call the morning of and get an appointment a few hours later. The staff is very friendly plus you get free water. Sanitation is pretty big for me so I was relieved to see them use disposable bags for each use in the pedicure dish.
