They always pour the powder into a separate container so you're not dipping your fingers into the same manufacturer package as everyone else. Are you in your teens and 20s? Do you like thick, fake nails? This is your shop! Vibe is todays latest rap/radio hits (largely explicit) playing loudly, with only 2 people working in a completely empty shop (at least the weekday I was there). A spa it ain't, nor is it entertaining (no tv, no people). Ya just kinda sit there. The work - I had Gel-X tips put on - was beautiful. Picture two shows how nicely the painting and chrome looks. BUT, and it's a big but, they look embarrassingly fake. If you aren't 20 and you prefer to have the elegant look of a person with beautiful, long nails, this isn't it. No matter how many times I said I wanted them set flatly these are hugely raised and stick straight out at a totally unnatural angle. (See 1st picture) Again, probably the look the younger gals want but it's like a neon sign saying "I can't grow or care for my nails so I got these big 'ol fake ones stuck on top of mine." You get what I mean? Check the other reviews mentioning this place using nails that don't really fit your nailbeds or natural width. They are right. I had to go to urgent care and was told that I got a really bad ingrown nail. Most likely from a recent pedicure where they cut the nail wrong and now half of my nail needs to be surgically removed. I've been to this nail salon twice and really enjoyed my experiences. The first time I can for a gel manicure and gel pedicure. Tiffany did my pedicure and made polish suggestions. The color she suggested was cuter than what I had originally picked. Jenny did manicure and made sure I like the color before preceding to do the rest of my nails. Both Tiffany and Jenny were very gentle when doing my nails which is a nice change from other nail salons I've been to that have manhandled me. You can also tell that they take their time and ensure everything looks good unlike other places that rush through the job. My second time here, I decided to do gel x which Tu did. I showed her an image of what I wanted and she helped me find a similar color to what as shown. She was very gentle and really paid attention to detail when doing my nails. My first appt was really great, and it seemed like an overall relaxed atmosphere.. As time has gone on, Ive booked appts on several occasions and more often than not they are always running late. I am usually pretty understanding if it happens once or twice but it is quite literally every time I have gone now. It just feels pointless. They have also done the wrong type of manicure on me twice, despite my booking saying I wanted something else (and even confirming this when I show up). I'm not sure if they just get distracted half way through or what's going on but it seems like I'm going in and not getting what I am asking for on top of everything. The person that did my nails was really nice, but she buffed my natural nails down so thin, including the tips of my nails, which had the length I wanted to keep. I always get dip powder and wanted to try this place because they have great reviews. Their website says all nail techs are extremely skilled. After the nail tech was finished drilling my nails down from my nail beds to the tips of my nails, she asked if I wanted them cut. I said yes because now they are all too thin and the length is gone on several of the nails. She cut them all different lengths. I asked to cut two shorter so they'd match. She applied the dip powder and started buffing down the dip powder with the motorized buffer and I asked her to please stop buffing because the dip powder was now getting too thin. Also, it is really hot inside this nail salon. First time I was here they had the doors open and it was nice for a bit, but then it got too hot and I was sweating. Second time here it was really hot and I sat sweating the entire time. Also, they have some travel show on that shows a lot of sad things happening to animals, like lambs and pigs being slaughtered, which is emotionally upsetting to me. I won't be going back. My manicure was $60 I believe they only take cash or Venmo. read more

I have been looking for my new regular place after moving from LA a few months ago. This is the one! Hi there, I usually really enjoy getting my nails done by Penny and Tim--they do great work. However, the past several times I've come in, there has been a Food Network show playing that features extremely graphic content, including animals being slaughtered and skinned. It's honestly disturbing and incredibly uncomfortable to watch during what should be a relaxing appointment. I completely understand having the TV on for background entertainment, but this specific content is vulgar and distressing. I kindly ask that the programming be reconsidered during service times. If this continues, I'll unfortunately have to look for another salon where I don't have to witness that kind of content. Also, for the price of the service, it would be nice to see more attention to detail--like including cuticle care or even a short hand massage. read more

Love coming here! The vibe is really peaceful, I can zone out to some music or watch Penny work (she's so detailed, it's satisfying to watch). I've always been offered something to drink. Both times, I got exactly the design I asked for. I love that dip nails are a little thicker because they last so long!
