I personally had Allyson and was her first guest. The table was comfortable and sturdy, there was spa/ relaxing music playing, and they had brought hot stones for each massage. Allyson started by asking what areas to focus on or avoid, any tension, was the goal for more relaxation or relief - all the questions you want to be asked before a massage! Off the bat Allyson was easy to talk to and very personable. I usually enjoy the silence during massages, however, it was nice to chat and we had a great conversation. I learned a lot about cupping, lymphatic massage and drainage, etc. The massage itself was wonderful! Pressure was great (which she asked to ensure it was the correct amount for me), the areas she worked on were all needed and much enjoyed. I think my favorite has to be the head and face - after a night of drinking it felt divine! The hour was up way to fast, as it always is. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage and Allyson was phenomenal. I heard the same comments from all the other girls and those that had Cody expressed the same compliments. I would highly recommend LTM to anyone in the Petoskey or surrounding areas. My wife, mother in law and me all booked 90 minute massages and each of us came away feeling fantastic. We can't wait to be back in town to see Carla again. I had the classic deep tissue. I have had many many massages over the years and Carla was as good as any massage therapist I have ever experienced. I have pinched nerves on either side of my lower spine so I asked Carla to focus on that area. My mother in law also had a classic massage and Carla's touch with her was just right. My wife opted for part deep tissue and part Ashiatsu which allows for an even deeper pressure as Carla uses her bare feet. I will try that next time! I highly recommend Carla. She is a true professional and has a sweet spirit as well.

My fiancé scheduled an appt for me to get lowlights, a trim and a deep conditioning treatment with…read moreSarah due to her fabulous yelp reviews. The appointment started an hour and a half late which I actually didn't mind at the time because she called to warn me she was running late. Things happen I understand. I told sarah when I arrived that I thought my hair was dry so I needed the deep conditioning treatment and that my goal was to let my natural dark blonde hair grow out. I had already let my dark roots grow out and I wanted her to DARKEN the rest. I didn't want to look like a 'fake' blonde. I reiterated that at least five times. However we needed this to happen- I wanted to go dark blonde. She told me that I actually had really pretty hair and completely understood what I was going for... 3 hours later my hair was SO light you could see literally see my scalp. My head looked like it was glowing. I cannot even put into words how ridiculous and fake blonde my hair looked. When I expressed to her how disappointed I was and asked her to please fix it- I literally said this is exactly what I told you I didn't want- things happen just CORRECT it!! she told me that she wished she had met me before 'I destroyed my hair,' that I should 'chop it all off and get a pixie cut after my wedding' and that 'it isn't her fault my hair won't take color' so I had HER 'stuck between a rock and a hard place' by not liking her work (really she had two people sitting in the waiting room and was over and hour behind after already pushing back the guys start time by an hour. End of story). I was SO mad and on the verge of hitting meltdown mode that I did exactly what I shouldn't have- I paid her anyway and walked out. I was so upset and embarrassed (my fiancé was speechless) I literally wore a hoodie to my 'emergency appointment' that I had to schedule all the way in north austin that night because it was the only place that had availability on such short notice. Thankfully Pinup Salon completely fixed her mess. Yes my hair takes color- I walked out of there so dark I'd almost consider myself a brunette and no- they couldn't believe how she let me walk out of her salon with that hair and they don't think I need a pixie cut. On a final note.. I called sarah repeatedly and left voicemails to talk to her about the appointment and ask for a refund after I had collected myself and calmed down. By the time she finally called me back days later and said she hadn't received any of my voicemails except the very last one I had had it. She can keep her money and I'll make sure to take my repeat business elsewhere.
