Walking in, the vibes were instantly Instagrammable: an anime mural splashed across the wall, a giant bowl of ramen anchoring the dining room, and that floating‑chopsticks display that always gets people to stop and post. It's playful, colorful, and a fun surprise in western South Dakota. The ramen was excellent and so was the service. I was honored to be asked on daddy, daughter date night and she selected Sasuke. We shared a seaweed salad and each had our own bowl or ramen. My daughter and her family had eaten here several times and never had any issues but when we ordered from here (over $80 worth of food) my husband's beef ramen had a human tooth in it! When my daughter called the restaurant and told the manager about it he said that it was probably a cow bone. She explained that it was definitely a human tooth because it had a metal filling. His solution was to tell us to let them know that we were the family who had been served the human tooth the next time we ate there and they would give us a bowl of beef ramen for free. Need to say we all stopped First of all I have to point out that I wouldn't have been okay finding a tooth from a cow in my ramen. The manager sounded like that's a normal thing. Second of all I have no intention of ever eating anything from here again. I can't imagine how a human tooth gets into a dish prepared in a restaurant that is clean or remotely sanitary. Run as fast as you can. absolute terrible experience, server and the host were miserable and didn't speak to us once and act as if they were completely oblivious to our existence, we had seat ourselves , server never refilled our waters, clean the table after all of our appetizers, I asked for forks and they just ignored me so my friend had to get up and get it herself. We question as to why they automatically put a tip on the check, so we asked for it to be taken off. Food all came out at different times, lousy experience. The food is great and it definitely takes after the anime. Ambiance is everything here. You can tell that's what they are going for. My main issue is the pricing for what you're getting. This place blew my expectations out of the water. Server was good and accommodating to dietary restrictions. Sasuke Ramen House is the only place I know of to get takoyaki and its flavor it hit the nail on the head. The ramen itself is rich and flavorful along with the pork charsiu had me satisfied. The spicy sauce you can get on the side added was a nice twist if you can handle the heat. Sasuke Ramen House is a wonderful addition to the weekly dinner rotation. Food was delicious, but customer service wasn't what we expected. I am an oglala lakota and deal with racism all the time in Rapid City, SD, mainly from white people. Thinking this was a Japanese restaurant we wouldn't deal with racism but the little bald Japanese guy kept giving my friend, I and our kids dirty and mean looks. And kids will be kids and no kid eats dinner perfectly and do tend to make a mess. The looks he was giving us made me real uncomfortable that I didn't want to eat my food. I took the responsibility to clean up after our kids and surprisingly the white guy that worked there was nice and understanding that kids do tend to be messy eaters and countless times telling me "miss you don't have to clean up, that's our job and we get paid to clean up after our customers" and I told him "yeah I get that but your friend over there keeps giving us and our kids mean and dirty looks, I don't know about you or this culture but, as Lakota we were taught that its rude to stare and give dirty looks to people"....... Me and my group of friends made a reservation a few days before to be able to eat lunch together. we had a group of about 10 and we even called before going to make sure we had our reservation. we ended up getting their and they did not have our reservation. they told us seats where waiting but they where not and we ended up waiting 20+ minutes to be seated. once we where seated and saw the menu he realized how expensive the ramen is. it is really good but we where not expecting it to be so much it was around 17$ for most of the bowls. Our server told us that the only thing that was made in the store was their mochi and everything else was from sam's club. this definitely made us feel like we wasted our money as we though it would have been hand made. their are other ramen places in town that have home made ramen and i hope to visit them. The first time I ate here it was good but the second time it was horrible. it was shocking how different it was and I ordered the same thing each time. The noodles the first time were egg noodles but the second time it was starchy instant noodles with no flavor. The soup was good the first time, the second time it had zero flavor. Ate here on the third day they were open and had the worst experience ever. We were a party of 8 so I expected to wait for our food. But my food bever came out. As they were bringing the tables Ramen, they informed me that they were out of teriyaki beef, so I changed my order to teriyaki chicken. The only problem is my meal never came. I waited patiently, thinking it would come - but when the entire table had finished their meal, I had to find our waitress to have the meal removed from the bill.
